Kakashi, Gai, and Tsunade might be able to hold their own. And possibly Jonin Commander Shikaku. Not saying they would win at all but they would do much better than everyone else.
Why is Naruto still genin?

Isn't Gaara the first one who was promoted from Gennin straight up into Kage level? I can't remember Gaara as chunnin (maybe I just missed it).He`s still Genin because he hasn`t have time to take the Chunnin exam again, and now that the war is coming, he will probably never get the chance.
BUT What`s cool, is that he will probably become the first in Naruto historie that goes from Gennin to Kage, way to go Kishi!
Anyway, to answer the question, I think Naruto didn't have the time to take the chunnin exams. The first chunnin exams was interrupted by Oro's attack in Konoha. The presumptive second one (when all his peers became chunnin [but Neji's a jonnin now] xcept him), based on my native language translation when I watched the epi, was skipped by Naruto because of some training (Idk if it's with Jiraiya, but I'm assuming yes). I'll try to find the manga page when they were talking about Naruto, teasing him of being only of gennin level whilst others had moved on.
And yeah, I believe it had nothing to do with his smarts and abilities.
Not to mention that his sage mode is Perfect unlike Jiraiya's Sage mode.
Not only that but if he was to perfect using the Kyuubi's natural energy whilst in Sage mode he wouldn't need to worry about shadow clones collecting natural energy.
It would be like an endless supply.
I think some of you forget Shino, he`s a Jounin too.
So we got him and Neji from Konoha, and Temari and Kankuro from the Sand whose Jounin.
And the rest are Chunin, while Naruto is a Genin.
Anyway, Gaara was probably a Jounin or at least a Chunin before he was "promoted"/made Kazekage, considering the fact that Temari and Kankuro are Jounins.
Gaara probably passed the Chunin and maybe even Jounin exam along with Temari and Kankuro before he became Kazekage.

he was anbu leader at 13 not Jounin. It never said he was jounin. I bet Naruto could be an anbu leader because of his status. It only stated how skilled he was. Sasuke named all Itachi's accomplishments and never mentioned
Ambu is a position under the kage so rank wouldn't mater.

Naruto is smart but he isn't the kind of person who would think of a smart strategy.
He's more of the hot-headed one that charges in guns blazing.
I don't think he'd be a very good anbu leader,
Although if Naruto was a smart as Shikamaru it would be a different story.

I believe Naruto will be a natural at leading hell he is already commanding the other rookies not to fight Sasuke., not a good example but shows he knows how to take charge a sign of a leader. Also he has battle tactics but he himself is a back up shinobi especially if he needs sage mode for a fight. He is a solo fighter because he is so powerful and his fights leave marks on the landscape.

Yes i think that would suit him fine especially during this war. Actually that's mostly what he has been doing since since the story started.
Don't use your trump card until you need it. Naruto and Bee are trump cards.
