Why is Naruto still genin?

Kakashi, Gai, and Tsunade might
be able to hold their own. And possibly Jonin Commander Shikaku.
Not saying they would win at all but they would do much better
than everyone else.

yea.....they would do alrite but i doubt they would last
long at all......i mean naruto prbly wouldnt go hard at first
out of a sign of respect but then when we he gets serious
they have NO chance.......i would actually love to see naruto
fight Lee and Gai.....that would be an awesome fight

but to kinda go along wit the crowd.......Naruto is the biggest
powerhouse in konoha(besides Gai and Lee.....kiba isnt one cuz
he sucks)but he prbly should never command a squad......he should
be something like third in command not bcuz he isnt smart only
bcuz his role is the lead powerhouse(and a powerhouse should
never lead a squad) a great 4-man squad would prbly be something
like this

Choji and Kiba are both chuunin and they are far from the brightest tools in the box. Plus he's smart enough to out smart both Gaara and a genius Neji so not being smart I disagree a lot.

I will repeat it: Because he was not in konoha for 3 years and he didn't go in the chunin exams again. Just wait, he might change rank farther in the series. that's y he is still genin. It's lik saying "Why is Sasuke still genin?". Same reason. Y is Sakura chunin, because she went in the exams and passed. That is my reason.

I doubt Naruto will ever be promoted. By the end of this war the series will end. Promoting him during the middle of a war is not going to be anybody's top priority.

Plus I have a feeling Kishi has purposely kept him a genin.

If there is an epilogue we might see Naruto's claim to Ibiki come true. First genin to become Hokage.

Well first of all, he left the village for 2 and 1/2 years to train with Jiraiya;
& When the Chunnin exams came again he went to save Gaara, and was held with up Sasuke
And with the the war starting and the Akatsuki i think thats the last thing on their minds.

If they just promoted people then there would be no point to the Chuunin exams. Also he can make a name for himself without having a rank.

After reading this, I just wanted to throw a few things out there.

Genin, Chounin, and Jounin are all ninja ranks which confer rank and authority.
Naruto doesn't really need a ninja rank because, he almost always fights alone.

There's no need for Naruto to worry about rank or authority when he fights because the only person that he needs to worry about directing (and to some degree protecting) is himself.

Naruto is listed in the books as a genin. He has not participated in any chunnin exams sines His first like the others of His age have. And the Village elders have not voted to give him a field promotion.

Naruto is easily Jounin skill, but not a Jounin.

I always thought to be a Jounin you needed to get your Nin-Tai and Gen Jutsu up to Jonin level. Otherwise you'd only be a Tokujo. Is that true or am I mistaking it from fanfiction. lol

I agree Naruto is already Kage level with sage mode and is jounin level on base mode. He wont ever become a chunin or jounin the title just doesn't fit him he is a solo fighter. Especially now that he will learn to use the kyuubi, teammates will only get in his way accidentally blowing them away with a giant FRS would suck. But Naruto is an excellent teacher.

Naruto took on Kakuzu... but without sage mode he can't throw the Rasenshuriken. So he would have to trick Kakashi like he did Kakuzu. Something I don't see happening. Kakashi would have his Mangekyou activated and he has trained Naruto. He knows how Naruto operates.

The only time Naruto beat God mode in taijutsu was in sage mode. When sage mode was over God mode kicked Naruto's ass till he went nine tailed Kyuubi.

Actually lets not go with the Pain battle at all. It's a long and pointless discussion.

As for Genjutsu... Kakashi doesn't need to be as good as Itachi. So far Naruto has shown no proficiency for Genjutsu and hasn't been shown dispelling high level Genjutsu.

Now, AFTER sage mode, where Naruto can throw FRS, and has super strength and frog katas, yeah, hes obviously more powerful than Kakashi.

Omg ..... ok if you want it like that : naruto can do FRS without sage mode even if tsunade prohibited it . And second ok naruto without sage mode , without kyuubi , and kakashi without ms or sharingan ok ? Its like saying hey im stronger than him if he would not have had those things . Yep naruto is more powerful . But what did you say naruto was on jounin level ? Naruto right now is on sage lvl , more than kage , sannin , jounin , s rank ninja , and on . How can naruto be on jounin level ?
