"You're right. It is a bit situational. However, the cool aspect I find about this technique is that it is a defense which can be effortlessly turned into an offense. In close range you can essentially use this to protect yourself from wide-ranged attacks as it says and other taijutsu attacks themselves (within proper strength). That defense can then quickly be turned into an offense by unleashing the current on an opponent who is within short-range of you. That is greater efficiency. Which is key to staying on the offense. Don't you think it's better to defend and attack in one move instead of simply defend and THEN attack in two moves?"
"I do think it's best to attack/ defend in one move. This gives you the battle options of deciding 'what if's'. Where the opponent can escape by some sort, having used one move you can do a predicted counter attack." Essen watched the ground as he held a fig .
"Excellent! Alright, let's continue. This next one is a personal favorite and one that I used quite often when I was first starting out in my time as a ninja. It is incredibly simple but despite its simplicity it has many uses. Now, by manipulating lightning chakra into the shape of an orb in either of your hands you will throw it into the air above the opponent (or any other target) and cause it to rain continuous lightning bolts upon anyone within the radius of the attack. The bolts, being bolts, have piercing capabilities and can easily tear through solids within elemental weaknesses and strengths. Try it out and tell me what you think!"

Essen gatherers his chakra inside of him as he condenses it's properties to ration forming of a lightening orb shell condensed of high voltage that he holds tightly in his hands. Hearing the zapping of the technique as it enrages, he launches the orb into the higher brunches. Once in position the orb stays in place and soon glows as though it's to explode, revealing the hidden volts inside that rampage on the earth in any form of Essens will. "so, it seems that this technique could be controlled to hit any target I want or would it harm me if I was in range? Imagine standing under it as it rains around me creating a ring of rain to protect me...well?" Essen said as he finished the jutsu and enjoying the sun's rays.
"That is a very good question Essen. It all depends on description. Certainly if you allow a bolt to strike you directly it will harm you. But you also can't manipulate where these strike directly as it isn't that advanced. It is simply rain. So yes, be careful where you place it and how you describe that."

Essen releases the discharge into the ground and the shapes of lightening come forth with lightening speed. "Where I release the discharge matters?(I know water would be a taboo, or else...) It requires specif hand seal(even though it doesn't really matter at NB/ RP) What I like it seems you can discharge from your body the lightening disks to attach the enemy. It could be also split into many disks but then that laws of power rank will take form. I'd use this with some initiative trapping thinking..." Essen laughed.
"You're right. It is indeed quite vague. I'd say the discharge happens from your hands or any place on your body really and you can launch them from there with a mid-range reach. Also, using this on water would be fine as long as the water isn't in direct contact with it or you. For example, you're standing on water but you yourself are completely dry for now. So don't over think that too much but it is good you keep that in mind. Any questions? Did that clarify it for you?"

Alright, so let's start with the basics. First off for purposes of the RP this technique really can't damage your own hand. So don't worry about that too much. Now the technique has a painful audio tell making it practically worthless for surprise attacks. The sound of the birds chirping is a dead giveaway to anyone you'll face and they'll easily counter with something appropriate. So just know that the sound plays an important role in the technique. But nonetheless it is a potent weapon for close quarters combat. The cutting damage and piercing damage it produces easily goes through flesh, and can cut through anything within elemental weaknesses and strengths. But bear in mind size and shape. A massive Earth dragon (S-Rank) can still harm you even if you cut it with an A-Rank Chidori despite the fact that Chidori would neutralize it in accordance with elemental weaknesses and strengths. Oh, and keep in mind the restrictions on hand seals.
While it would be cool lol unfortunately you can only use one hand for this technique. Alright, moving on.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty

SO NAGASHI. I'm sure you've been waiting for this one too :3. It is a rather popular technique. Lots going on in it and its important to understand it fully. I want you to tell me everything you know about it first before I guide you through it.
Ikiru releases a non-focused electricity from his body, the stream causing a lightning show of volts spreads across the field. "I'm not really a fan of this tech, though I honer it's atrocity to hinder the enemy numb hoping they aren't masters of the element. Given it doesn't kill on contact but could be channeled through a medium after deciding on whether wide/ narrow point of addressing damage. I do wonder if it becomes heavily supported on a raining aspect of field/ standing on a water surface? I see that this technique can give distance and also given it's numbing style choice of use, the probability of use is situational." right after saying he takes a breath of air and looks around as the ground is rewarded with electricity.

"You're right that this technique isn't lethal. Unless you channel it through a medium such as a sword and land a fatal blow with the sword (i.e. stabbing a vital organ, etc etc). But that doesn't reduce the usefulness of the technique. The most common usage of Nagashi is used as a full body surge to release from genjutsu. Nagashi is able to release from B-Rank and below Genjutsu. It is also commonly used to force opponents out of short-range of the user to give the user some space in taijutsu. But it is somewhat easily countered in this case so be sure to have something to follow up with if you decide to use it for this. Now the most mistaken application of this technique is that people seem to think it carries destructive power. It doesn't. It can't rip apart earthen structures or tear through solids. So if you release this into the earth to stop an earth technique of appropriate rank, it can do that. For example, if a pillar is rising up from the earth and you channel this into the earth it will stop the pillar. Not destroy it. Just simply stop the movement. That is key when using this technique.
