Long time ago most of the sane NB members and actual Minato fans came to an agreement that,

'Yellow Flash is actually attributed to Minato's foot speed...', he would move so quick that a trail of yellow would follow him, earning him his moniker...

And at many instances in manga, it's implied that 'Yellow Flash' is Minato's base speed...

Well, Raikage probably isn't that fast, but we saw that Minato almost got caught in Raikage's attack, so ofc we'd think that Minato's is slower.

However, there are many shinobi who can match KCM Naruto's speed, like Itachi, Obito and other.

So that speed isn't so amazing anymore :|

Yellow flash applies to both foot speed and FTG.

The databook says He got the nickname because of his mastery of FTG (hence why Tobirama had no nickname for the usage of FTG).

However the manga also confirms that his foot speed was also affiliated with his nickname. Due to comments made by Obito, Yamato, Bee and Tsunade.

So it's both.

Keeping up with someone in cqc and taijutsu not same as keeping up with so eone in foot speed.

This strictly about shunshin. When naruto fight itachi, he was not even trying, he was trying to talk to itachi, but itschi attack him. Naruto mostly was defending while trying to speak to itachi at same time. And naurit already use tajuu kage bunshin to send many clone to different battlefield. So that naruto chakra not even at 100%. Why naruto even try that hard against edo, when itschi not even die.

Where did obito keep up with naruto speed? He using space time ninjutus to bested naruto most times. Kamui>naruto speed of course. That not mean obito can keep up with naruto max speed. It not the same thing.

Show me where itachi, or obito were using shunshin match naruto max speed?

He seems entirely too reliant on Hiraishin if his normal speed is faster than Ay. Lol Not denying his speed, because it's obviously fast without Hiraishin, and now I am rambling. :|

The scan doesn't say anything about Bijuu mode minato. You can clearly see that it's speaking past tense: "and even praised to be as fast as the yellow flash".

Referring to minato back when he was alive.

there's even a anime episode when he's fighting on the frontlines, without using FTG he moved insanely quick! :>

He's still fast without it but his speed hype is mostly because of his FTG and I'm sure he needs it to battle Ay or he wouldn't have teleported away and back just to try and slice V2 Ay.

Lol You can't be as fast as FTG with just body flicker alone. Plus, Yellow Flash was given to both Body Flicker and Hiraishin. Ei praised Minato because he was able to react to his RCM's full speed the first time. Give FTG to someone with less reflexes and they can't perform the same feat.

Plus, it doesn't specify that he's as fast as Minato without FTG.
