If you saw him in part 1. He had a unique way of making you hate him. He was freaky, insane, sinister, he also had a good soundtrack to to with him in the anime. Even the way he talked it gave you a weird vibe. I just think he was a perfect villain. Till part 2 happen.

Maybe that's why. I didn't have the suspense of his chatacter. I kind of jumped in to the Pain arc so it ruined all prior villain s I suppose.

Possible incoming Suigetsu and Karin child U_U . I'm actually very curious to see what happened to all of them.

To summarize, this interview revealed:

-Kishi couldn't make Hinata a main character because if she ended up on Sasuke's team, he would have taken her too like he did with Sakura.
-Neji's belief that life follows a predetermined current was correct. It was always going to be his fate to die like a fodder in order to allow a love between two fodders to blossom.
-Kishi forgot about Team taka and Oro and now he's damage controlling by saying they'll have a part in the spin-off.

If he really cared about popularity the main character should be Kakashi ranked no. 1, Sakura the heroine ranked no. 6. and no way Neji who is ranked no. 7 will die for Hinata ranked no. 11

Like screentime and the messages it sent? Yeah i agree. I was not satisfied with his death anyway, but the comment coming from the author was outright insulting to his character and his fans, even more than his representation as someone who could not escape his fate.

Also, honestly.... what was "well written"?
- Uchiha Obito's miraceliously survive (which defy logic) and his reason to become evil?
- The introduction of Kaguya?
- Black Zetsu's retcon?
- Madara's defeat?
- The power ups of the main characters (Naruto's and Sasuke's Rikudo powers, Sakura Byakugo and Kakashi's Susanoo)?
- Danzo being nothing more just a trophy on Sasuke's wall without causing trouble to Konoha and Naurto?
- Kushina's sudden appearance and revealition to being the previous jinchuuriki of the Nine-Tails while there was not even mention about anything like that?
- The retcon of Kyuubi's Attack On The Leaf?
- Kisame pathetic defeat?
- The so called legendaries Edo Tensei ninjas defeated by no name random people?

And so on.

@bold: This is exactly what I am saying.

Rather he died or lived I would still not be satisfied with his character unless he did something important this war arc. Fact is I was already not happy with how he was treated in part 2 before it happen. This does not go for him alone but the rest of K-11 as well. The death was not the issue it was his portrayal in part 2. His death lacked the impact it should have gave.

I also agree with the fact that he should have not been sacrificed for NaruHina. Because we did not need it.

Would have made sense story wise, would have made for a better basis for a heroine, would have made a better way of bonding Team 7, and would have been an easy character to give realistic power ups to.

Kishi even considered dropping sakura as heroine in place of Hinata.

You know I am now starting to think healing abilities on Hinata would go a lot better than on Sakura. Since Hinata's whole character is a caring one.

Sakura would be better off with a flower genjutsu and enormious punching strength. It would suit her since shes very passive aggressive.

Sorry, but Sakura got all the stereotypical Marry Sue powers that a bad writter ever could giving her! "Herculen strength without muscles", "immortality", "instant regeneration" ect. Only Mask De Masculine's "The Superstar, the cheers of fans give me power up" power is more Garry Stue / Marry Sue than what Sakura got in the last 70 chapters (because a good character always gets power ups in the last chapters and not in the halfway or between halfway and final). ;P

Naruto does not have a KKG. Sakura would been be a perfect for Team 8 seeing how Sakura was good with Genjutsu which Kurenai speicalized in. While Hinata had a dojutsu like Kakashi. Both would have been better on opposite teams.
