Neji in kishimoto's eyes was romance fodder....He sacrificed himself for Naruto. That speech he gave at his death about how he was seen as a genius. All seem like lies. :NO:

I kinda have mixed feelings about NH now.

You shouldn't. Kishimoto told many times he can't writte romance, yet, he believed "this" would be romantic. So it's not NH's fault that Kishimoto thought this crap up, but Kishimoto's fault that he solved things like that.

And even thought I never shipped NH I can't see why would it make NH "inferior" or stupid. Naruto and Hinata became a couple 2 years after Neji's death, so this crap not even believeable because of the 2 years timeskip.

Also, I still believe that Neji's death still connected to the fact that he was killed 2-3 weeks after Kubo killed Sasakibe, Kira and Yamamoto from Bleach - a war where nobody dies? Even Kubo made a better job by killing 5-6 positive characters.

The interview interesting, because it's like Kishi tries to insult both Sakura fans and Hinata fans. Does Kishimoto want surpass Kubo in trolling?

Like I said, he did it only in the end, to show how NaruHina got together.

After 700 chapters, and 9 movies of Sakura being the heroine, just a movie of Hinata "heroining" doesn't seem that relevant to me.

If you are happy, then good for you, It's two of us now.

Sakura never got a story arc focused on her.

Sakura is a failure yep, once he saw people hate her, he tried to make her look more cute and clearly abandoned her to become less than a side character.

according to takL (on NF) translation of the video parts =>

He didn't show Sakuras family in the manga because readers wouldn't care.
He believe Sakura is cute but readers disagree.
Anyways He had to keep Sakura in the position of one of the 3 main charas since chap #4 that he kept trying to make her popular.

He even drew her on the model of Hollywood star photos on the vol 66 cover (Christina Ricci was apparently the model, i can see where the ugly huge forehead come from now and her grotesque eyes).

The high maintenance wasn't payoff while Hinata who he didn't write much about kept gaining popularity more and more.

Sakura's love letter incident took place in order to give the anime team food for their animes original story.

I did not claim Neji did more. But what smaller importance he had compared to a character which he died for her romance life?

What NH did more than Neji in whole manga to have more importance, even if that is our measuring stick?

What Hinata is or her importance is in the end is that she is his life. Aka the girl he was gonna start a family with, that he never really had. So her importance as a character is very huge because all his life Naruto stayed without any family. He never had a childhood that was without any loneliness. Now in the end when he has achieved everything, he needs a family to go back to. And that family starts with Hinata.

So yes its not about what they do or not do. Its about where the importance of one character lies. Neji was a great character no doubt. But in part two he did not do much to be remembered as one. His death was not his downfall it was his escape as a character.

7.he let neji die for naruto and hinata to be closer, that's how hinata brought her daughter to visit his grave in chapter 700. naruto's son boruto and neji is the same meaning, this is all intended early on.Kishi said" I needed a factor for Hinata to become more like Naruto's heroine so I kind of made him die as a Cupid...." and the interviewer says it sounds silly to air this
