Well when you create a character you expect to see a response. And unfortunately some characters in this manga got a negative one. I still wanna know why did he stop developing Orochimaru as the villain?

is not an author must love his work of art, but Kishi is weird, Characters is hate by readers not an authors, even in drama or movie etc, sucessful hated cast or characters is measured by how audiance hate them, not a producer or director or writer hating them

Is Oda or Toriyama hate their characters, never, they do all work with passion and interest. Problem for Akira is inconsistency and lost interest in writing his manga in the end

maybe because some of them are not really his characters to begin with, some were forced into him to sale more or to create stuff he never cared about just like the love triangle BS for ex or the taka team.

1.When Kishimoto first created Naruto he was inspired by a roadside ramen stall, he wanted to write about a youth eating ramen. his theme is considered questionable, bujt in the end it still became serialized while under doubts.

2.The fourth's appearance was inspired by carelessly jumbling up kiba and akamaru's combination. and so naruto father's image was set.


3.Before the chunnin exams, Kishimoto originally wanted to draw a few more missions, but to ask him to illustrate the whole ninjaverse at one go, kishi says it is very stressful to have to do so many characters, so he asked his assistant for help, and the assistant created Lee using reference from Jackie Chan.

4.In Akatsuki Kishimoto's fav is Hidan. Kishi was told that the image of Shikamaru smoking can't possible be animated on TV, but Kishi did it anyway. He tried to make Hidan look not as intidimating


5.Kishi feel that Jiraiya's death was spectacular, therefore if he was edo tensei, it would be hard to draw naruto's reaction. that's why jiraiya did not re-appear.

6.Kishi is troubled by Sakura's popularity among the readers. While he was drawing covers, it was easy drawing naruto and sasuke, but for sakura kishi have to spend more time re-drawing and adjusting, worrying that he might draw her ugly. sakura's family is not revealed because of popularity reasons, but hinata with low number of appearances were consistently popular with the readers, kishi once had the idea to change hinata to the heroine.Kishi referenced celebrities before making Sakura, 2ch said something like Christina Ricci.


7.he let neji die for naruto and hinata to be closer, that's how hinata brought her daughter to visit his grave in chapter 700. naruto's son boruto and neji is the same meaning, this is all intended early on.Kishi said" I needed a factor for Hinata to become more like Naruto's heroine so I kind of made him die as a Cupid...." and the interviewer says it sounds silly to air this




8. before naruto KO enemies kishi would use several different angle shots to show the same move, this is inspired by jackie chan's martial arts film. also when doing KO scenes kishi don't like to draw the character faces, he feel that revealing faces will dimish the impact of the body moving and the artwork.


9.At the end when Naruto and Sasuke fight, the original intention is that they finish while holding hands, but kishi changed his mind and cut their hands, making a more gory ending.


10.When NARUTO ends, Kishi introduces next year's movie and naruto exibition 2015, revealing that orochimaru, kabuto, and lesser characters will be re-appearing in the boruto series, to finish the main plot. then kishi says he will be relaxing for the time bring, call an assistant to discuss about the new series. it is unclear whether the new series will still be centered around ninjas or around a totally new theme.

So Minato's design was based on Kiba & Akamaru's design. I don't see any resemblance there Lol

Lee's character was inspired by Jackie Chan. That wasn't surprising at all, considering they both were great in martial arts and kicking asses.

What is surprising is Kishi's favourite Akatsuki character - Hidan. This guy was one of the most brutal and douchebaggy psychopaths in the entire series. It's hard to like that type of character. Though, that unique personality trait is what makes his character funny. Plus, Hidan's role as a villain was certainly enthralling. If we were given a backstory of him, showing why he chose to follow Jashin and join the Akatsuki, he would have been one of the best written characters out there.

I'm glad Jiraiya wasn't reanimated. His character went out in an honourable fashion so let him remain that way. Plus, there wasn't really any purpose in reviving Jiraiya besides fan-service.

Sakura... well what can I say about her? Even the authour worries about her Lol

Neji's character was obviously trashed away for the NaruHina pairing. His death was one of the worst and most random deaths in the entire series. It literally could have happened to any of the other K11 members. Didn't even feel remotely sad for his death. In fact, I laughed at how ridiculous it was.

It was a nice change for Kishi to make the ending of Naruto vs. Sasuke more gory. Makes it more realistic, and certainly more epic.

And finally... the news I have been waiting for. We finally get to see closure on other characters that we haven't heard of ever since the activation and ending of MT.

It is clear that boruto series main reason is to explain what happened o kabuto and orochimaru. We might get information about karin, Suigethsu and Juugo.

He actually did with the new movie. Lol

OT: Looks like even Kishi realized how much of a failure Sakura was. But still he should have introduced her parents. Or revealed her backstory of her relationship with them. It could have gave us a better understanding of her character.

Maybe if everybody was less critical maybe Sakura would've gotten it. Plus I doubt this statement of Kishimoto's as it just sounds more of a way for him to cover up why he didn't write for Sakura.

^ This was my favorite part of the interview actually. It revealed how much Hinata factor was getting to him with Sakura. Or how much he noticed he was not doing well while creating Sakura. One has to wonder why Hinata was preferred amongst the readers, even though she had very less screen time? I am pretty sure its not just because her relation to Naruto's character.

I personally think Kishi should have sticked with his original idea of a female character that is Hinata. He should have kept Sasuke as the rival with a different love interest. Sounds like to me Sakura was more of a failure on his part. Than a prize. I mean in each interview it feels like she was more of a regret for him than a blessing.



It was Naruto "the Last" movie. Meaning Hinata got the last laugh.

If Hinata were the main heroine today then she would be in Sakura's shoes and then people would feel bad for Sakura. The thing with Hinata's character is that she barely gets any screentime. In this case people like her more because she doesn't fail as much as Sakura, or which they don't see she does.

What makes me happy is knowing the fact that even the author was thinking of switching heroines with Hinata. Also knowing the fact that he himself saw that Sakura was not popular amongst the readers. Lol

And oh it actually happen. Its canon and part of the manga.

Through the movie only Hinata will be a main heroine. That does not make her the final heroine, cause that's not her role to play. It's to play as the hero's secret admirer nonetheless.
