To everyone waiting for Sasuke vs. Naruto... I'm sorry

I want them to have one last fight just as much as the next guy, but unfortunately, I strongly believe that it isn't going to happen. There's really no reason for them to right now. Only possibility would be over the Hokage seat, but after watching Madara and Hashirama's final interaction in the last chapter, they would both want to find a different way so that they didn't end up going through all of this again. However, the real and defining reason that they won't is something that many people seem to have forgotten about will be posted in the tags below...

Now some have said that this WILL happen and that they WILL fight and both die... Well, after they both simultaneously died about 30 chapters ago, I just reeeeealllly don't see that happening. And also, this is a Shonen manga... Happy endings and friendship and stuff, eh? What are your thoughts on this people? Do you think Kishimoto will neglect these pages and make them fight anyway with a different outcome? Or will the manga end without another clash of the titans? Yeah, it's quite unfortunate. I've been anticipating this fight for so long now (along with everyone else) because their clash at the bridge was quite short and disappointing. But there's just too much evidence suggesting that they won't and not enough (if any) suggesting that they will.

Not everything from the OVAs comes to fruition. For example, in that same OVA, Naruto was fighting using Asuma's hand blades. Now that would just be silly (albeit really cool.) So you can't really say based off that :erm:

True. We will see. I wouldn't be surprise if the fight end up being in the movie instead of the manga. Cuz a 5 chapters manga is not enough to cover the fight.

Never said there are only 5 chapters left. Just saying that there not enough chapter left to deal with the prologue of the fight and aftermath of the fight, and freeing everybody from IT. So no fight gonna happen in the manga.

I had hope for a long time, but after all of the forgotten content and plot-based asspulls lately, I have given up hope in Kishi's memory or plan.

Argument is weak, huh? When did Sasuke negate Naruto's claims...? The only way for him to do that would've been for them to fight and ya know, not die... At least back yours up.

Doubt that highly. Manga will end before 2015 (stated by Kishimoto himself) which gives us a maximum of about 15-16 more chapters. Think he can deal with the aftermath of the war, decide on a Hokage, carry out their fight, and write an appropriate ending all in that short space? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Their first fight lasted 16 chapters, the VoE fight. If the manga ends before the movie their fight would have to be 5-8 chapters long.

Funny you say that cuz Kishi has hyped up a lot of things only to make them not happen... I'll just use Minato's "Rasen Senkou Chourinbu Kousanshiki" as an example, though I'm sure I could find a few more. And I'm sorry, are you saying he's just going to neglect writing an actual ending the manga in favor of making the two main characters fight? ESPECIALLY in a Shonen manga? LOL, that's just ignorant.

I can say they will not fight because there is not enough time, there is not a good reason for it, and as presented in the OP, they will both die if they do fight again. If Sasuke does something to instigate a fight in the very next chapter, I will go to your page and write you a very personal and heartfelt apology... But I don't think I'll have to do that.
