ot: I like that pic on one point, because it's good to see them together...but on the otherhand, I don't. It also shows their somewhat skewed family dynamic which is a result of some of the members' arrogance and ignorance.
It was only after Itachi joined the ANBU. What do you think, if Itachi were to be honest from the start. His whole family was clueless about what was going on in his mind.
Fugaku was willing to acknowledge his son even though he was on the verge of getting killed by Itachi. He approved of Itachi's philosophy.
In the manga, Itachi's actual susano'o color is gold. I recall reading somewhere that Kishimoto was upset when the anime team got it wrong in the Sasuke vs Itachi fight. Sasuke's is also off too in the anime, in the manga it's blue.
I like Itachi's susano'o the best (Yeah, I'm biased. Deal with it. u_u ), Shisui's after (not crazy about the drill though), then Maddy's, and then Sasuke's.
I kind of like the idea of Itachi’s Susano’o being gold! I don’t blame Kishi for getting upset. Huh, I guess I don’t mind Sasuke’s being purple, and plus Madara’s Susano’o is blue, so yeah haha. At least the blue is there. xD
Now see, I’m crazy about the drill (and green is my favorite color). So I think I like Shisui’s best, but Itachi’s is, of course, second. <3 Then I agree with you, it’s Madara’s and Sasuke’s after.

That’s actually very cool looking. O_O That would make for a pretty awesome sig haha!
Green is my favorite color as well.
The drill is cool, due to it being unique. However, I just think it's a little random to add to a susano'o. How is he going to fight with it in the game? Is he going to attempt to impale people with it? But I was too harsh. The drill is cool. However, if it was a green sword or an actual weapon, his susano'o would jump to my fav spot. U_U The drill is still holding it back from that point for me, because an actual weapon is cooler than a unique drill.

All of the bold is incorrect in my opinion. The encounter with those 3 Uchiha cops is when Itachi pretty much said what was on his mind, with Fugaku being present. He stated that it was foolish to fear what they've yet to see and know. The Uchiha wanted the coup primarily because they were afraid of the future. Tobirama even stated that when the village was founded, some Madara sympathizers stayed in the village and didn't follow him for whatever reason, but feared that they would be eliminated like he did and didn't trust any of the hokages or Senju.
His family wasn't exactly clueless. In front of Fugaku, Itachi also stated that they shouldn't be so absorbed in the clan and that there was pretty much more to the world than a name. When Itachi stated that there shouldn't be so much arrogance in the clan, it made it quite evident that he wasn't for the coup. After Itachi had that encounter with the 3 Uchiha cops and Fugaku, Fugaku gave up on him and even told Sasuke to not be like his brother. That was the point that Fugaku began ignoring Itachi and trying to spend more time with Sasuke (which Sasuke was very happy about xD ) and taught him katon.
He never at any moment approved of Itachi's philosophy. He told Itachi plainly that he didn't agree and that he didn't understand his way of thinking, however, he was still proud of him (and that he was a gentle child) anyway and that he shouldn't worry, because his and Mikoto's pain would last an instant, unlike Itachi's.
Anyways, I was contemplating something, and wanted to know your opinions on it.
Since Itachi is my favorite, part of me obviously wants to see him live on, to not have died.
But then again, part of me feels like he did what he needed for the plot, and his time was up.
Now, if Kishi were to pull some kind of crazy mass Rinne-Tensei thingy and everyone ends up getting revived, how would you feel if Itachi was back (without his illness, of course)?
I would feel great. Because he's awesome and I adore the character.
However, there would be quite alot of conflict. The truth would have to come out in order for him to live a decent life, because as we all know, he's still viewed in the shinobi world as a teenage boy who woke up one day and killed everyone for fun only to go to a criminal organization. He's viewed as a mass-murderer by everyone bar Sasuke, Naruto, Kakashi, Yamato, Taka, Obito, the two elders, and Kabuto. However, the problem here is that Itachi never wanted the truth to be revealed and Naruto even promised him that it wouldn't. Mainly because if it is revealed, the Uchiha clan name would be tarnished, because the clan was going to betray their own village, and that's not very honorable-at least now, they look innocent, bar Itachi.
If he were alive, he'd have to continue living as a missing-nin. I don't think that type of life is all that great, so even though I love the character and his influence in the story, it's better for his well-being to rest in peace and stay dead. He's dealt with enough in life anyway.
Well. Minato was 26 when he died and Itachi was 4 at the time. The scenes would have been very cute and cool to see.
They both died quite young and had the most potential in the Naruto series (Itachi at age 21, Minato at age 26). And yes, I mean even more potential than Naruto and Sasuke if they lived. Mainly because Itachi and Minato were the brightest minds the Narutoverse had ever seen, and the only reason Naruto and Sasuke have gotten this far in life is mainly due to those two.

I agree, they both had the greatest potential. Not just as powerful Shinobi, but in diplomatic ways as well. Also, Minato raising Naruto, Sasuke and Itachi would've been the greatest thing ever...
The 26 is a guess, I presume? His age was never confirmed, after all. Calculations have pointed out that Minato's age at death might've been around 22, though that's not incredibly important.

Good point. I can't think of a scenario where, if he came back, both him and the Uchiha could have a good reputation. It's one or the other. So in that case, I guess he's better off as-is :/

Mikoto and Kushina were the same age. Kushina and Minato were the same age and enrolled in the same homeroom at the Academy. Mikoto died at the age of 35. The Kyuubi attack took place 9 years before that. 35-9=26. Minato was 26 when he died, as was Kushina.

Itachi is my second favorite character in Naruto, and I agree, part of me wanted to see him live on too. I wanted to see him and Sasuke reconcile for good. I wanted to see who Itachi’s wife and kids could have been because I imagine that he would have been an amazing husband and father. ;_;
But also, like you, part of me feels like that his role in this story has finally ended. He’s done what he set out to do, and I feel as though it’s time to let him rest. So if Kishi did pull off some crazy mass Rinne Tensei, I’d be kind of upset. :/ Itachi was already brought back through Edo Tensei, and it was painful enough seeing him like that (and consequently released from that). If Kishi brought Itachi back a second time, I think it would be serious overkill.
So as much as I love Itachi, I don’t want him to come back. He needs to truly rest in peace. <3

The drill is pretty unique; I guess that’s what draws it to me most. It’s not just another sword or bow or anything like that. Lol It’s a bit random, but I could see how Shisui could fight with it. Yes, he could impale people with it, but he could also use it to create vortexes of air or drill into the ground for whatever reason. I think it would be cool. What if it was an ax haha? That would be pretty intimidating. O_O Like I said, I think the drill is what’s best about it, and that makes it my number one!

I'm still not convinced honestly. The timeline is horribly set up if you actually delve into it. The Chuunin exam Kakashi participated in featured characters that should've been 2 or 3 years old at that time. I think I read somewhere that Minato was in fact 22, if I could just find the calcs, but I guess I can agree with you atm.
Kushina's graduation age is unknown, and what is the source of Mikoto and Kushina being the same age?
The (probably) most accurate timeline was created by someone on this base, IKSOKRIPS, if you want to check it out.

24 years before the series starts jiraiya becomes minato's teacher. Minato = 10 years old.
between 13-14 years before the series starts, fights in the third shinobi war, gets appointed to hokage position over orochimaru. Minato was 21 years old when he became the fourth hokage
12 years before series start minato dies at about = 22 when Tobi attacked Konoha

I was completely wrong. XD
I thought Kushina and Mikoto were the same age because I recalled reading it one a forum, however, it doesn't state Kushina's age in the databook. :/ So, I'm assuming that information is false. I'm glad that you didn't believe me. I'm sorry that I stated it was fact, it's certainly not. xD
This is a pretty good site to look at info on Naruto characters, though it needs to be updated: this is Jiraiya's profile, because I used it to make a quick calculation myself just now

Jiraiya on the website:

, Jiraiya was 25.5 years old when he took Minato who was 10 years old at the time as his apprentice. 12 years later, Jiraiya was 37.5 years old when Kushina was pregnant with Naruto. Kushina was also 22 years old when Naruto was born because she was 6 years old and so was Minato when they went to the academy together. This makes Minato 5 months and 15 days older than Kushina, because his birthday is January 25th and Kushina's birthday is July 10th.
Thank you for linking me to that timeline btw. It looks to be very helpful. ^^

Haha, I meant finished studying for that DAY. Still have like two weeks to go :T_T:
Looks like we share the same point of view. I would have definitely liked to see scenarios like the ones you described, but ultimately, his role is done.

:T_T: :x3: It’s so adorable and sad at the same time! That would’ve been neat to see Minato kind of being a father figure to Itachi. =D
I'm sorry. Even though this wasn't directed at me, I really want to reply to it. :x3:
I agree that it would have been great to see Itachi with a wife and kids. With a happier life. With having fun with Sauce-kay. With being the Uchiha clan leader and possibly even hokage, though he doesn't seem like the type to be in the spotlight and hog the glory. He works behind the scenes. He's a true shinobi.

However, his story was epic. And I liked it for what it was, the way he endured, and what he stood for. If his story wasn't as epic, badass, and influential as it was...the story would lose alot of quality and there wouldn't be as many interesting discussions and lessons learned. Though, it wouldn't hurt if Kishimoto did an alternate version where Itachi was happy in life and the Uchiha never wanted the coup. But he won't. xD
Itachi's role in the story has ended. If he was brought back a third time, that would seem ridiculous. Death would lose its meaning even more than it already has in this story. It would also detract from the impact of his first two goodbyes, and I don't think that would be a good thing. He also wouldn't live happily either, he'd have to continue the missing-nin life because he'd want the Uchiha to maintain their innocence. Solitude is never fun.
He can rest in peace, but he'll always be in our hearts. <3
About the drill...ok. Your post is making me appreciate it more. Now, I think Shisui's susano'o is becoming my fav. XD Ok. No, it is. I agree, his susano'o is awesome. XD
Also, here are the real colors for Sasuke's blue susano'o and Itachi's gold susano'o:

I feel that Minato would have been a better father figure for Itachi than Fugaku was. That would have been pretty badass, awesome, and cute to see. U_U

I also would have wanted to see Edo Itachi, Edo Minato, and Edo Tobirama fight as a team during the war. The 3 smartest individuals in the Naruverse (other people are smart, like Oro and Kabuto-but only because they do research and have much knowledge. They're not prodigies or good at strategies) working together... the coolness level would be off the charts and their strategies would really be something to see. U_U Too bad that's not happening either. xD

Couldn't find an Itachi pic like the other two. There was no panel in the manga like that. xD

That’s okay! I’m excited to respond to your reply. XD
Yeah you’re right, overall, it would have been great to see Itachi live a happier life. I know the manga stated that he was thinking like a hokage at such a young age, but for some reason, I see Itachi as being more fit for being the clan head than hokage. If he had to be one or the other. ^^ But I agree, he does work behind the scenes, and he’s definitely a true shinobi! Also, what a cute picture!! :3
Oh absolutely. I think his story was the most well-written in Naruto. I like it for what it is, too! Yeah, that’s very true. He wouldn’t have been such a deep, strong character, and the series as a whole wouldn’t have been the same. :/ That would be cool if Kishi did that, but you’re right, he probably won’t. U_U
Yup, that’s my thinking as well. It would be very ridiculous, IMO. :| No kidding haha. Right, I don’t think it would be a good thing either! I saw you reply with that to one of Magatsu’s posts; he still would have had to live the missing-nin life, and no, solitude isn’t fun.
Forever! <3
I see. XD I wasn’t expecting to change your opinion on the matter, but okay! Shisui’s Susano’o is really awesome.
I LOVE THE GOLD. Why was it not gold??
Yeah, I agree. ;_; Seriously, it would have!
What a three-man cell that would’ve been! You’re right, I think they are among the smartest in the entire NV. The coolness level would probably be too much and most likely kill me. xD <3 Tha really is too bad!
