If Naruto loses to Sasuke again?

It's canon that they would cancel out, nothing anyone says would change that.

That's the thing, you don't know what Kakashi considered the worst case scenario.

Either way, it doesn't matter since they would have just killed Sakura in the process instead of clashing meaning none of them would have won.

Post scans of someone stating that chidori and rasengan cancel each other out, every, single, time. The few times these justu's clashed was when they were giving it their all. Rasengan and Chidori aren't opposites in affinities so there's no reason to believe they cancel each other out. Naruto and Sasuke are good at matching each other chakra.

Kakashi considered the worst case scenario is Sasuke dying, not them killing each other, which would be more reasonable as they are both his precious students. That obviously means Sasuke's odds of surviving that exchange would of been less likely than Naruto's

Sakura wasn't that close, she'd be caught in the explosion but she wasn't as close and Kakashi was. Kakashi was at "sandwhich" distance, Sakura was getting there though.

My god. Reading some of the wildly off-point interpretations of the final clash at VOTE is incredibly disheartening. Since it's such a pivotal and tremendously written moment in the series. They both had the opportunity to kill one another and they both decided against it. If either one hadn't, they both would have died. Sasuke closed his fist to keep from penetrating Naruto's heart and Naruto clawed at Sasuke's headband. If Sasuke did penetrate Naruto's heart, Naruto would have lunged forward and taken Sasuke's head off. It's clear as day how Kishimoto will end the fight. If either one wins, they both die.

They both weren't going for the kill, sure, but Sasuke clearly had the arm reach advantage, and it seems that Naruto only flinched. I mean to say that he would be able to completely rip off his head is kind of overdoing it don't you think?

As for both dieing, there can obviously be a winner just like there was at VOTE.

Essentially Naruto would have killed Sasuke with the added arm length through the added pressure applied to his skull, while Sasuke would have punctured Naruto's heart and killed him.

I should have said, if either dies, the other does as well.

I will admit that I was wrong about the positions of Naruto and Sasuke ththiugh. Sasuke would have been blown farther into the air, not that it matters.

How would you feel if Naruto lost to Sasuke...again? Would you think that it is good writing when the main character can never hope to beat his rival even after years of failure?

I mean Sasuke won when they were in the academy, he won at VOTE and he won at Orochimaru's hideout. The difference in strength was absolutely pathetic after the timeskip as Sasuke beat Yamato, Naruto, Sai and Sakura all by himself.

Their record so far is 3-0 Sasuke I believe. Kishimoto always favoured Sasuke IMO and made him look cooler and gave him the best outfits and always brought his relevance to the front of the manga; like when Kakashi said that Naruto only gets stronger because of his desire to surpass Sasuke and that he wouldn't be this strong without Sasuke.

In the final battle even if Naruto and Sasuke tie it would just mean that the best that Naruto could ever hope for is to be equal to the "Great Uchiha".

So please vote in the poll and respond on how another Sasuke victory would look in your eyes.

sasuke is going to win automatically because of sharingan and uchiha blood.

honestly though, the VOTE fight was so plot driven that it shouldn't even count. had naruto actually won that fight, sasuke would have been brought back to the leaf and half the story of the manga has been destroyed. i feel in that battle sasuke may have technically won, but it was shown that they fought as equals basically. i mean naruto didn't use any summons, he could have which would have basically won him the fight. also that last clash, i feel like naruto hit his headband on purpose as he could have easily hit him in the chest or something.

To the people saying that rasengan is greater than chidori, this is false. The two techniques have been shown to be equal and cancel each other out many times. Remember that chidori is a completed technique while rasengan is incomplete. When the wind element was added and it became into the rasenshuriken then it was complete and this technique is stronger than chidori.

If Sasuke wins, the manga fails it's aim. And I don't intend to see Naruto winning either because of the same reason.
