Hmmm... Itachi still would've acted out of love for Sasuke. That we know for a fact. <3 But, instead of protecting the village as Shisui inspired him to do, maybe Itachi would've tried finding a way to get Sasuke out before the massacre of the clan. Yet, Sasuke would still be angry at the village for taking his clan out, and he'd even still be angry at Itachi for taking him away, even though it was to protect him. We would probably still have a story with Sasuke turning to revenge because of Itachi. O_O
