Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

Kishimoto seems to enjoy using Colours to characterize & Symbolize the characters & places in his work, So I have taken the liberty to find what traits of Blue, Violet, & White match Hinata, as well as Looking into what aspects of Brown & White match Neji

Hinata - Violet/Purple

The color violet inspires unconditional and selfless love, devoid of ego, encouraging sensitivity and compassion.

Violet encourages creative pursuits and seeks inspiration and originality through its creative endeavors. It likes to be unique, individual and independent, not one of the crowd. Artists, musicians, writers, poets and psychics are all inspired by violet and its magic and mystery.

Violet is the color of the humanitarian, using its better judgment to do good for others. Combining wisdom and power with sensitivity and humility, violet can achieve a lot for those less fortunate.
Purple is associated with royalty. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. It conveys wealth and extravagance. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic.

Purple has power. It has a richness and quality to that demands respect. Purple is ambitious and self-assured, the leader.

Hinata-Blue

The color blue is one of trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention. Blue hates confrontation, and likes to do things in its own way.

Blue seeks peace and tranquility above everything else, promoting both physical and mental relaxation.

Blue is the helper, the rescuer, the friend in need. It's success is defined by the quality and quantity of its relationships. It is a giver, not a taker. It likes to build strong trusting relationships and becomes deeply hurt if that trust is betrayed.

blue is persistent and determined to succeed in whichever endeavors it pursues.

Neji-Brown

The color brown is a serious, down-to-earth color signifying stability, structure and support.

Relating to the protection and support of the family unit, with a keen sense of duty and responsibility, brown takes its obligations seriously. It encourages a strong need for security and a sense of belonging, with family and friends being of utmost importance.

Some browns can show a degree of sophistication or elegance, depending on other colors associated with the brown. For example, brown with a soft white or ivory can appear stylish and classy

Brown suppresses the emotions, creating a safe haven from the stresses of the outside world within which problems can be contemplated and solved.

Brown is a color of structure, although by no means does it encourage perfectionism - rather it encourages orderliness and organization.

The color brown gives reassurance. It is quietly confident but never the life of the party! Brown does not seek attention - it prefers to stay in the background, allowing other colors around it to shine.

Brown is solid with strength and maturity. It prefers to function in its own safe little world - it is not carefree and spontaneous and doesn't like surprises. It can be considered dull, boring and unexciting by many.

Brown also shows a lack of humor

Neji & Hinata-White

White is a color of protection and encouragement, offering a sense of peace and calm, comfort and hope, helping alleviate emotional upsets. It creates a sense of order and efficiency, a great help if you need to declutter your life.

White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity. It is considered to be the color of perfection.

White means safety, purity, and cleanliness. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive connotation. White can represent a successful beginning. In heraldry, white depicts faith and purity.

Chapter 8: Shooting Star

As Naruto recalled the memory flowing through his mind, he spoke aloud, “There’s no way Hinata killed her mother.” The eyes of his peers widened as they heard him speak. With an expression of anger, Kiba gritted his teeth as he bared his teeth.

“The hell are you talking about Naruto?!” Still in disbelief, Sakura turned to Neji.

“If you were intent on telling us about her mother’s death then why wouldn’t you have mentioned…” Sakura stopped when she saw the widened eyes of the Hyuga Prodigy. As she made eye contact, the Hyuga Prodigy realized he was conveying his emotions, and immediately scowled.

“Naruto,” he said with a serious tone, “Explain yourself immediately!” Neji’s piercing and straightforward tone broke Naruto from his trance. Making eye contact with Neji’s narrowed lavender eyes s, Naruto looked down with a sad look on his face.

“How am I supposed to explain something I don’t get… you’re the genius here not me… all I know is that Hinata wasn’t lying when she said that she killed her mother. I don’t know why… it was just written all over her eyes…”

“That’s enough!” Kakashi intervened. “We have a mission to complete, and the longer we wait here the more time we waste. Shinobi must not allow their emotions to get the better of them. They have to put their feelings to the side the task at hand can be accomplished. The situation is getting worse, and it’s far more complicated than I had figured. We need to regroup.” Despite his attempt to get his group re-oriented, Naruto had hardly moved. Only Neji and Shino had regained their composure.

“Naruto, how do you plan to become Hokage if you can’t even focus on the task at hand? How can you surpass the Fourth if you can’t even focus? The same goes for you Kiba. Sharing Naruto’s dream, how do you plan to become Hokage by crying out without trying to take in a situation?” Although Naruto’s gaze was fixated on the floor, his eyes had once more widened. Going over the words in his head, Naruto began to think to himself.

“That’s right… how can I become Hokage just sitting here sulking.” Staying motionless for a few more seconds, Naruto closed his eyes. As the green aura from Sakura’s Mystic Palms technique faded, he slowly stood up. “Kakashi-Sensei’s right…we can’t just sit here. We are just sitting here in this damn cave feeling down while Hinata is waiting for us like a real Shinobi. If anyone she should be the one in here...” Naruto paused as he took off the blood stained bandage from his right shoulder. Placing the ragged cloth in his right hand, he curled it into his fist as he threw his arm forward. As some of the blood dripped from the soaked rag, Naruto spoke with a confident grin, “There’s no way I can just sit around and let Hinata outshine the future Hokage… Believe It!”

“Heh… I guess you’re right for once! As the future Hokage, I should be kicking ass! Right Akamaru!” Kiba answered with a smirk. His canine companion barked in sympathy.

“Of course,” started Shino, “That’s because, this is what it means to be a Shinobi.”

In her head, Sakura smiled to herself, “Looks like he’s as simple minded as ever.” Throwing her right arm up clenched in a fist and her left hand holding her arm in a pose reminiscing her sensei. “Alright! Let’s get this over with,” she chimed in.

Neji’s eyes widened slightly when he saw how Naruto’s stance matched the one the Uzumaki had sworn to defeat him in. The surprise was short lived as Neji’s eyes regained their composure. Folding his arms across his chest he waited for the rest of the platoon to move out.

“Well… looks like we’re ready to go,” said Kakashi: his smile hidden under his mask. “Alright, let’s move!”

Exiting the cave, the group noticed that Hinata had already moved across the small lake formed by the waterfall. She waited for the group halfway between the small body of water and the tree line. Having lost her trademark lavender jacket, she only wore a black T-shirt and a suit of mesh armor worn underneath. Walking over to her position, Naruto felt uneasy about what he should say as the recent revelations began flowing into his mind. Managing to clear them from his mind, he cheerfully greeted Hinata. “Oi Hinata! You ready to go?! We won’t let him get the best of us this time!”

“Yes,” Hinata responded. Her voice was empty. As Kakashi looked at the girl, she noticed she held a scroll.

“Hinata, where did you get that scroll?” Kakashi asked. A small bit of breath escaped Hinata’s lungs, and her eyes opened up a bit before returning to their half closed and empty position. They almost perfectly matched the look of Neji’s calm and calculated eyes; however, unlike the Hyuga Prodigy, they remained empty and full of sadness: they were a façade.

“It was from one of Sai-San’s birds. Here…” Hinata handed the scroll to Kakashi.

“Ah! Thank you!” Taking the scroll, Kakashi opened it and carefully examined the document. As he read, more and more of his suspicions were becoming confirmed. “This isn’t good,” Kakashi said to himself. Taking a quick glance at Hinata, he continued his thoughts. “And she’s not in any mind set to fight. Things are on the verge of getting out of hand.”

“Oi Kakashi-Sensei!” Naruto called with unrest. “Shouldn’t we be doing something like walking and talking?! Wait a minute… Kakashi-Sensei where’s Sai?”

Kakashi could feel a bead of sweat drop behind his head due to his student’s lack of perception. “That’s our Naruto,” he thought, “At least he’s cleared up his head.” As the thought faded, Kakashi addressed the Konoha Shinobi. “Listen up… things are getting desperate. It is currently mid-day. We have food rations to last us at best another day. With the recent developments, the target may not continue to stay here for much longer. As such, Twenty- Four hours is our time limit for finding our target. After that it’s game over.” Hearing his deadline being set, Naruto punched his hand into his fist.

“Yosh!” he said to himself, “Plenty of time! By then I’ll be able to kick that bastard’s ass at least five times.” His eyes slightly shifted to see the perturbed eyes of Hinata as she looked towards Kakashi. “Right… I have to figure out what’s going on in her head too. Maybe I’ll only kick his ass four times.” Resolving his thoughts with a grin of confidence, he began to re-focus on Kakashi.

“Before we move out, I have one other thing…” Kakashi started. Before he could continue, the son of Konoha’s White Fang was interrupted.

"Uh… not trying to crash your party here, but since you are kinda short on time, shouldn’t you take up the Orange kid’s advice… you know…. walk and talk," questioned a cheerful voice from above. In the trees above sat a man. He had black hair that slightly curled at the ends of them. The Stranger wore standard Shinobi pants and a somewhat simple black shirt. The sleeves went down to his elbow, and the collar went up to just under his chin. Resting over his eyes was a Konoha headband. A scratch visibly gleaming across the symbol as it sparkled in the sunlight. "So you decided to stop hiding like a coward eh..Shirobaka!" taunted Naruto, "It also looks like you're getting serious since you ditched the rags! I hope you’re ready because I only have a short amount of time to kick your ass!"

"No," said Neji, "That isn't the Target...."His physical demeanor, his speech pattern, his appearance, and even his chakra are different. Nevertheless… judging by the scratch across his headband...he may be in league with the enemy."

"You know... you're sounding just like Tsukasa with your straight forward speaking and your extended vocabulary... Heheh... then again…” The stranger grinned, "I hate to sound rude, but could you leave us alone...we aren't too good at fighting, and with your numbers we’re outnumbered two to one! By the way… you mentioned a scroll from a bird... was that from the artsy guy?"

Naruto’s eyes widened. "Artsy guy?" shouted Naruto, "What did you do with…?!" Before Naruto could finish, he was abruptly cut off.

“Why does he wear half a shirt?” the stranger asked. “I mean I’m not really one for fashion statements, but I can’t help but feel it is a bit… off. Or is this a new ROOT thing?!”

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO SAI!” Naruto shouted. Despite his temper, he managed to compose himself, and keep from charging the stranger.

"Oi, Oi.....no need to get hostile... Sorry about interrupting you, but I was really curious is all. Besides, I don't really want to fight. The Artsy Guy… Sai was it… he’s alright… well, I think. I was supposed to go catch the bird, but seeing as how you guys have it already…”

As the stranger was speaking, Kakashi muttered to his platoon. “Listen up, Sai could be in trouble. Not only that, but it sounds like our target is on at the shrine once again. On my cue, Kiba will throw down some of his smoke bombs. After that, Naruto you make two shadow clones of each person. As soon as you’ve done so, we will all spread out and move towards the Temple. Our primary goal will be to find and secure Sai… then move in on our target pending Sai’s condition.” Having heard his instructions, the Konoha Shinobi tensed as they prepared to move. Kakashi slowly raised his headband and opened his right eye.

“NOW!” As soon as Kakashi shouted, Kiba threw down three smoke bombs and the Konoha Platoon was shrouded by the rising smoke. Once concealed, Naruto crossed his hands in the Iconic cross shape and formed fourteen clones who then took the shape of other members of the group except for two who retained their original appearance. Without wasting a second, the Shinobi flew from the smoke in a scattered formation.

As the wave of Konoha Shinobi burst from the smoke, the stranger let out a small cry of surprise and looked to his right where a small concentration of the Konoha formation moved. “This is looking good,” Kakashi started, “We’ve all entered into the forest, and he’s aiming towards a group of clones!” Just as the thought finished racing through his head, Kakashi’s right eye whirled. He only had a second to cross his hands up before a force impacted his forearms sending him back. As he began sliding back, he’s mind raced. “What the hell… I couldn’t even follow the attack. I could barely sense it coming!” Looking to his left his eyes widened as he saw Sakura, Kiba, and Shino also flying back. A spread out line of individual puffs of smoke indicated where Naruto’s clones had dispersed. “Impossible… he got them all?!”

Shifting his position to cover Sakura, Kiba, and Shino who had landed on their backs, Kakashi raised a Kunai as a flicker of light appeared on the branch above him. The stranger crouched on the branch above the four Konoha Shinobi with a grin on his face. "So much for not wanting to fight..." retorted Kakashi with a bead of sweat rolling towards his mask.

"Heh heh! Well I don't really want to fight but I figured that wouldn’t be fair for Tsukasa... so I figured I’d go ahead and try to keep you from disturbing him.” As he finished, a small scowl came over his face. “Though… I wasn’t able to get all of you.”

A bead of sweat ran down Kakashi’s face. “Damn… we don’t have time for this. With his speed there’s no way he could have missed Naruto, Neji, and Hinata… things are out of hand.”

The scowl faded from the Stranger, and it was replaced with a smile. Throwing his fist down onto his faced up palm he exclaimed, “How about we have a simple sparring session. That way, it isn't really fighting, and no one will get hurt!"

"YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!" snarled Kiba...."It's just like that Tobi bastard all over again!"

Hinata: Not as One-Dimensional as One May Think

Many like to claim that Hinata is one dimensional, and only ever revolves around Naruto. If you only look at words and phrases, and ignored location and context... you might be correct. However, if one applies logic, and rational thinking (one must think outside the box) they should easily be able to deduce that Hinata is not just a one dimensional person.

1. Appearances in the Manga

Hinata is not a main character. Thus, she will not appear NEARLY as often as main characters. In addition to this, she will not have as many plot points focus around her, and this will limit how much of her character will actually be flushed out.

However, most importantly, Hinata will 95% of the time appear in situations that have the Main Character (Naruto) in either A) The same location, or B) Doing something that focuses around the Main Character.

Appearances:

1. Chunin Exams

A) During the Written Exam, she sits next to Naruto.
B) During the Forest of Death, she is fighting/surviving in the same harsh conditions as he is.
C) During the Preliminary matches, she is in the same area, and watching his/the same fights as Naruto is.
D) May as well mention... she's taking the Chunin Exams the same year he is.
E) Appears just before and during Naruto's match with her cousin Neji.

2. Final Part I Chapter

A) Appears in the Hyuga Compound in part of a sequence showing the other K11 members wishing to get stronger by the time Naruto returns.
B) Neji brings Naruto into the conversation
C) The above is reinforced by Kiba... despite Hinata's initial attempt to ward it away

3. Part II Introduction

A) She is introduced to comically convey that she still cares for him.
B) Naruto is hastily looking for people to commit to a mission.

4. Sasuke Retrieval/Itachi Pursuit Arc

A) Selected with Team Kurenai to assist in the mission with Team Kakashi
B) Gets paired to guard Naruto with Yamato... selected by Kakashi
C) Is thus with Naruto when Kabuto appears.
D) Later on is still with the team as Tobi appears.
E) Finally the mission ends when she arrived with Naruto and Co. at the wrecked fortress... empty

5. Pain Invasion

A) Primary Antagonist hunting for Naruto attacks the village... shown to be in the village.
B) Once more seen when Pain wrecks Konoha.
C) Wishes to aid Naruto (who faces Pain alone... which is unusual), but told not to interfere.
D) Goes to help only when Naruto is defeated.
E) Nearly Killed trying to save him.... succeeds albeit indirectly.
F) Shown again as Naruto fears she is dead, and when being healed by Naruto.
G) During the Above... we have constant updates about Naruto.
H) Last seen with the group of people cheering for Naruto

6. Kage Summit Arc

A) Appears with the group thinking about what to do with Sasuke
B) Naruto tells them not to worry

7. War Arc

A) Appears fighting in a war to protect Naruto
B) Saved by Naruto
C) Is ordered to move to Naruto's location

8. Juubi Revival Arc

A) Appears having helped Ino Mind Transfer Obito
B) Stands with her father and cousin to protect the drained Naruto
C) Saves Naruto from the Mokuton Spike
D) Would have died protecting him... but Neji takes it.
E) Re-Kindles Naruto's fighting spirit.
F) To keep it short, continues fighting the Juubi with the alliance.

Conclusion: 95% of the time, Hinata only appears in situations that have the main character in close proximity, or is doing something to defend the main character... sometimes BOTH. A notable Secondary Character Trait.... that being only appearing when a Main Character is present.

2. Personality

Probably the shortest factor to be played because it is relatively straightforward. Hinata is a gentle person who only wishes for peace and harmony. She is kind, caring, and compassionate about those around her. Her hardest trait is that she's shy, and as such it makes things hard for her when being around the person she loves.... who happens to be the main character.

Conclusion: Hinata's personality is one that cares for others, and not just Naruto. Due to her shy personality, she finds it hard to speak or act around Naruot... leading her to usually think about him when he's nearby... developing the commonly referred to "Stalker" personality.

3. Love

While some of use may never have fallen in love, I'm sure many have love for their friends, siblings, and parents. And a lesser extent of this, I'm sure many have had crushes, or people they've dated.

When one of the people you care for is in trouble... is it not natural to be concerned about them?! Additionally, when you have a crush on someone, or are dating them... do you not wonder what they are doing, or even how they are?! When the person you have a crush on is in the same room as you... don't you tend to have either a focus on them, or occasionally think about them while the individual there with you?!

At this point in the manga, it has been practically confirmed that Hinata truly loves Naruto... while yes she's 16 and that's a little young.... remember that this is a manga so the whole age thing doesn't always matter. So under that idea, why is it one dimensional if Hinata thinks about the person she has liked since childhood, and with recent years has confirmed she loves him? Adding in her shy personality, it makes it even harder for her to express such emotions simply because she is too shy to do so.... leading her to generally think about the person.

As a side character, Hinata will appear only in situations that will have the Main Character close to Naruto, or will have Hinata doing something that has a tie to the Main Character (War Arc for example). Since she loves Naruto, she will always have a thought about him... and even more so if his occupation is a Ninja fighting to the death against enemies.... or Giant World-Creating Monsters.

Conclusion: Her love for Naruto is apparent, as such, whenever near him, or knowing he may be in danger/fighting to protect him... it is only natural for him to be in her thoughts. Her shy personality kept her from being able to directly speak about it... leading simple thoughts of it.

4. Moments of Individuality

Even with her limited appearance... and focus upon Naruto due to his Main Character Status, Kishi has provided moments where Hinata does not have Naruto as her direct focus, or even in her thoughts.

Chapter 78- Page 2

In this scene, Hinata is simply bringing an ointment to Kiba due to his cuts and bruises from his fight, she doesn't even mention Naruto, but instead is focused on Kiba and Akamaru.

Chapter 238- Page 8

In this scene, Hinata is merely bringing out tea for her father and cousin. It is Neji who brings up Naruto on the following page. Even then, Hinata says that it is fine, and is actually pushing away the subject until Kiba arrives to keep it in focus.

Chapter 356- Page 6

In this scene, Hinata is focused on the encroaching enemy behind her.

Chapter 357- Page 3

In this scene, Hinata is entirely focused on the present state of Kabuto's body... which is being taken over by Orochimaru

Conclusion: There do exist a few more scans that also show her not thinking of Naruto; however, for the sake of making this thread even longer... I've left them out. The point is, Hinata is not really that different from other people when it comes to being a shinobi. Due to her role as a Secondary Character (and a secondary in love with the main character) her rare panel time typically results in her thinking of Naruto; however, despite this, there are clear moments where Naruto is not in her thoughts or actions. Were she to be given panel time in situations where Naruto is not even present, it would be very likely that she would not invade her every thought. However, instead of seeing situations where she is only around her team, her family, or quite simply not doing things near or focused on Naruto, we'd be able to see her more flushed out: caring for others and thinking of others just as she does for Naruto when he's around.

5. Neji's Death

The death of Neji Hyuga... needless to say was poorly handled. The genius of the Hyuga Clan for some reason (that being plot/character development) was unable to creatively think of a counter (aerial rotation?!).

Regardless... the situation left Naruto done. His mind was crushed. If one pays attention, it is obvious that Hinata herself is crushed... as she actually starts crying unlike Naruto who is wide eyed. It is right here when Hinata gives her speech, people like to claim that she only cared about Naruto... which is completely wrong.

1. They are in a war with a God of Creation... the don't HAVE time to mourn... it will only kill more people.

2. Doing the above even worse... puts Neji's actions to complete and utter waste.

3. Even though Hinata is giving her speech... she was still clearly upset.... look at her face once she finishes speaking and holds Naruto's face... her mouth is curved awkwardly to show she's holding back her emotions.... (remember Kakashi mentioning how Shinobi need to keep their emotions in line).

The only part of his death that was bullshit was her retarded ass "Naruto-Kun's hand comment". The part about it making her feel safe was ok... but the whole big and strong part was retarded. Considering her gentle and kind personality... and the fact that Neji just died... made the moment out of character. Also, for those who say, "She didn't close his eyes,"... Naruto was the one holding him not her... really how many times have you seen in movies or games where the person NOT holding them does it. If anything it was Naruto's job... but also remember they are at war... no time to waste really. Besides within a few chapters, the Juubi has eradicated his corpse twice... so as sad as this is... it really wouldn't have made a difference since he was cremated.

Conclusion: Neji's death showed that Hinata dearly cared for her cousin... she was in tears; however, as a shinobi, she had to put it past her... or else she'd only cause more people to die. Furthermore, she had to snap Naruto in gear or everyone would die. Despite a horribly failed moment by Kishi (Hand Comment)... the situation was handled as a shinobi should probably handle it.

6. Role as a Character

Hinata's role in the story primarily comes in keeping Naruto on his Ninja way.

1. During the written exam... she says she does not want Naruto to disappear (her reason for helping him cheat). It gives him the courage to not cheat, and then he further slams his hand down with his speech.

2. Just before Naruto fights Neji, he's completely down; however, Hinata tells him he's a proud failure. His unwillingness to surrender is what true strength is, and he returns to his normal personality. Thus, has the mind set to beat Neji.

3. Naruto is defeated by Pain... her actions allow Naruto to free himself... and thus keep him from backing down, or going against his desire to win.

4. Upon Neji's death... Naruto is mentally broken, but Hinata steps in and returns him to his normal self.

Conclusion: Hinata's role or at least largest contributions come from keeping Naruto on his ninja way... this means it is not about her showing her becoming strong or her showing her full character outside of Naruto... instead, it was written as someone who keeps Naruto from falling. Factor in her feelings for him... and it only helps to make her appear more one-dimensional when really these "obsessive Naruto moments" are really her just playing her secondary role.

Conclusion Overall

Hinata is not a one dimensional character if you objectively view her role, emotions, and actions in the series. It is largely because she holds a secondary role that she is labeled as a One-Dimensional person. Because of this secondary role, she is only seen around Naruto or in situations that will involve Naruto. Because she has a gentle, caring, and shy personality, it ends up being hard for her to express her feelings to him, but the caring and gentle personality conveys that she cares for others and not just Naruto (Examples: Neji, Kiba, Shino, Kurenai, etc). If given situations that would not always revolve around or include Naruto, it is virtually guaranteed that Hinata would display concern and caring for those around her (look at the Guren Filler Arc before Naruto arrives... but alas... 'tis filler). However, this will never happen for Hinata is a Secondary Character. As such, one must look at her character form a multitude of perspectives to understand that while the parts of the story she's shown in heavily focuses her thoughts and actions on Naruto... if you look at the story the character would have outside of these moments... she isn't some creepy stalker who only cares or thinks about Naruto.

That was an amazing read! You should consider making this into a thread.:bouncy: THough I think it would be nice if you mentioned her act of protecting Neji from Zetsus in the war, since plently of people seem to forget about that.

Thanks for the images... When I had been drafting I didn't bother wasting time with it. Because I had about 5 hours of work ahead of me (HW).

Anyhow, I have a 3 hour lab at 1:10 (about 30 minutes), but once I get done, I'll come back, add images and post it.

^^^ I think this has been posted before, but some cool move ideas.
This is beautiful :ls: I really want something like that top left one to happen, like a Lion Version of Susano'O. THe one to the right of it seems to be a combo of Lion fists & Air palm, which would be an awesome combo. Those two sword-chakra ones are also sweet, it would be so cool seeing Hinata use something like that, since she's mostly a taijutsu user. ANd that rainbow gentle fist ..... she looks kinda weird....

BTW... Did you draw these?

lol I wish I could claim it, but no. He's a deviantartist named something like mathew38. He has a fairy great Self made Naruto manga spin off as well.

Aside from Rainbow gentle fist (which looks odd I agree), they are really sweet.

My favorite is the bottom left where she's throwing swords. Reminds me of her fight with the Iwa- Bee users.

I'm honestly surprised the Hyuga DON'T have swordsmen. With the 360 vision they are perfect for CQC sword play. Given their chakra control they could wield a regular sword, but in terms of chakra enhancement is the size of a broad sword. Also, if you take into account her flexibility, HinTs would be rather good when it comes to countering attacks and manipulating her position to have an advantage.

I also like the top left one as it reminds me of Blue Dragon... But the idea of a giant lion is cool!

Basically I like them all except the rainbow one XD

Like I mentioned.... Hinata would probably operate well with Knives.

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

Really Good Chapter! I didn't expect that Hinata would be the type of a person to kill her own Mother ?? :what:

Of course, I can foresee that there will always be explanation and then turns out that Hinata is not turn out to be bad person based on her reasoning.

But anyway, I don't think Kishi ever apply to Hinata mother and her wherebouts, I guess I can take it, but anyway overall I enjoyed reading with epic plot twist and thats what makes me Happy :)
So! Would have posted my new chapter on the 22nd had I had time to write it, but I ended up packing for College, and then driving 9 hours to college the next day.

I am ALMOST done with it (am at just about the final scene). Sorry about the wait!

EDIT:

Ok, so looking back at my last chapter...noticed a mistake! At the end, Hinata says, "Yesterday is..."

It should have been ,"Two days ago was..."

As I had been looking at some of my outline, and forgot that I changed the progression of days, and had moved it ahead by one day.

ANYWAYSSSSS! Chapter 7!

Chapter 7: Solar Eclipse

With the morning sun creeping into her eyes, Sakura awoke with a stiff back. “Damn this stupid temple,” she thought to herself. Due to their mission taking place within the Hyuga’s ancestral grounds, the original plan had been to apprehend the target, and move to one of the outposts members of the clan used to patrol their land. However, due to the unforeseen events of their target escaping, and losing Naruto and Hinata, their plan had been completely redrawn. Despite her aching back, the pink haired Kunoichi focused all of her attention on preparing to search for her teammate.

Looking around, she saw the other members of the Konoha patrol were slowly starting to wake. Standing towards the head of the staircase was Shino, who had been standing guard for the last two hours: having drawn the final guard lot. She then noticed Neji also happened to be awake. Sakura had not noticed the Hyuga Prodigy before, likely due to his stillness. Neji sat firmly in the middle of the Tenshuno Temple: resting much like their target had upon their arrival. Managing to stand herself up, Sakura slowly moved over to the center of the circular shrine to speak with Neji.

Before she could question what was on his mind, Neji opened his eyes. “It would appear everyone is beginning to wake. Immediately standing up, Neji walked over to the finally standing Kakashi. “I believe it would be best if we split our force in half. It would be the most efficient way to maintain both our current objective, and locate Hinata-Sama and Naruto. Combining the tracking skills of your Ninken with Kiba and Akamaru, we should be able to locate them via scent. Adding Sakura for any necessary application of medical ninjutsu would be a given. Meanwhile, Sai, Shino, and I will remain here. That way we can scout the area for our target.”

“Well…it appears it wasn’t just his impressive mastery of the Gentle Fist that Neji earned his Jounin status… then again, I shouldn’t be surprised,” Kakashi thought to himself, “But… he still has some room to improve. You have to learn to keep you emotions out of your judgement.” Having finished thinking things over, Kakashi addressed the group. “A good analysis… but… you forgot to think of the enemy. Our target is far more familiar with this territory than we are. He’s able to move around using the Hyuga Clan’s own hidden techniques. I know I don’t have to tell you that he can easily ambush us at any point. So… to compensate we need to use numbers. Still, you are right. We do need to maintain both tasks at the same time, and splitting up is the best way to do so.”

Taking a quick pause, Kakashi continued. “Sai, I want you to stay here. As a member of ROOT, you probably have the greatest amount of skill when it comes to hidden surveillance outside of me; however, facing this guy alone is too much of a risk… which is why you are staying behind, and not me. Unlike you, I don’t have the ability to fly. I’d like you to use your Ink Birds for both communication and surveillance. If you find yourself at risk of being discovered, I want you to move away using your advantage in flight. The rest of us will move to find Hinata and Naruto, but also to use numbers in case we come across the enemy. Is that understood?”

“Understood!” The rest of the members responded in unison. Scanning the group, he noticed Sakura bite her lip. His eye resting on Neji for only a second, Kakashi could easily tell that the Hyuga should have been aware of the present situation. Kakashi knew that despite his calm composure, the Hyuga Prodigy did not want to face the prospect of his cousin being dead. Despite being in a similar position, Kakashi knew he had no other choice.

“Alright then, Move Out!”

With his order, the platoon moved out. Sai remained on top of the Temple as he began drawing. Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, the group effortlessly flew through the open clearing that was at the staircase’s base. Upon entering the forest, Kakashi keep his lead as they began to descent and encircle the mountain in hopes of reaching the mountain’s base. Not long after entering the forest, he found Sakura moving up to his right.

“Kakashi- Sensei, I understand your orders… but I was wondering why we didn’t just have Sai fly to the base of the waterfall?”

“I thought you might have had that on your mind,” Kakashi replied coolly. “Firstly, like I said, we need to maintain numbers. We have to assume this Tsukasa Shirokishi can appear anywhere within the territory… as it will keep us from a false sense of comfort, but it also explains how he’s only been spotted at the temple. As such, sending Sai down alone presents problems. If he lands and our target appears, he’s by himself. Even worse, if he finds Hinata and Naruto… and those two can’t move on their own, we will have a problem if the target appears just when Sai has found our missing members. While we may have been able to take the majority of us using multiple birds, we still need to focus on the objective. Leaving someone behind is necessary, and Sai is the best for the job... I know you’re worried, but we have to move cautiously.” As he finished, he saw his student look down with worry in her eyes. Shortly after, Sakura returned to her original position in the formation. As she moved to back and to Kakashi’s right, Neji was moving just beside her to Kakashi’s left. In between Sakura and Neji, but further back moved Kiba and Shino.

As she moved back in formation, Sakura took several deep breaths to calm herself. Having regained her composer, she began to focus and think. “Despite his calm and calculated composure, Kakashi seemed lost in some thought,” the Pink Haired Kunoichi thought to herself. Sakura was not surprised. To her, Kakashi was always thinking steps ahead. Deciding it would be pointless to guess what was in the thoughts of the Copy Ninja, she glanced back at Kiba and Shino to see how they were. It was then she saw Shino shiver as though a chill had run down his spine. Immediately doubling her focus on the vigilant Aburame, Sakura immediately called out to him. “Shino! Are you alright.”

“Yes,” the Aburame replied. Pressing his index and pointer finger to his goggles, he continued. “Just now… I suddenly felt forgotten.” Putting up a smile, Sakura replied.

“Ah…I see!” In her head, Sakura thought to herself. “….It isn’t like you make it hard to be forgotten.” As the thought crossed her mind, she could not help but notice as the Aburame’s fingers twitched. While she had not expected the calculating Shinobi to actually have such a quirk, what did shock her were the words spoken by the Hyuga Prodigy to her left.

“Sakura,” Neji started, “While we have the time, I would like to take the opportunity to apologize.” Amongst her own shock, Sakua could only imagine Kiba and Shino wore similar expressions.

“Eh…Neji …what do you have to apologize for? “

“I see…you would not understand if I do not clarify….very well. I wanted to apologize for Hinata’s behavior from two days ago.” Sakura’s shock was quickly replaced by anger.

“Neji! You don’t need to apologize for things Hinata does. Just because you are her cousin doesn’t mean you have to be her lap dog! TSCH! If Naruto didn’t beat that into your head, then I sure as hell will!”

Closing his eyes for a second, Neji continued. “It is not a matter of feeling indebted or in service to Hinata-Sama, but instead for two reasons. Firstly, it was of my own negligence that the event even transpired. Secondly, I only apologize on her behalf for Hinata-Sama could not possibly have known what had transpired on that day...”

“What are you talking about?” Sakura said. Her face was entirely serious. What traces of shock or anger she once had were replaced with a determined inquiry. As if he were a child being struck, Neji’s head immediately sunk. It took him several minutes to reply.

“Two days ago… used to be a day I celebrated like no other day. Not even the day of my birth held more significance.” With this, Neji paused as he struggled with the actions of his not too distant past. After a few seconds, Neji continued. “As you know… before my fight with Naruto, I hated the main branch. I believed they had taken everything from me. My father’s life, my destiny, and in the deepest corners of my mind I could only stand in fear of what they would take from next. So… it was only natural for me to relish the day. Even now I tremble with the fury and shame I have for myself… and even more so because despite everything I knew she never felt superior. She never felt above the rest of us… she only felt like she was a member of a family. It did not matter to her that she was of the Main Branch.” As he mentioned the titular branch of the Hyuga Clan’s leading family, he paused once more as he gritted his teath.

“Two days ago. That day marks the seven year anniversary of Hiyori-Sama’s death.”

The information began processing in Sakura’s head. “Hiyori….SAMA!” The realization had finally struck her in full force, and her eyes widened. “But that would make her Hi…” Before she could continue, she was abruptly cut off.

“That’s enough chit-chat back there!” Kakashi ordered in a harsher tone than usual. “Stay focused on the objective. We can’t afford to let the enemy take us by surprise.” Despite the shock the three younger Konoha Shinobi felt, they did their best to suppress their emotions. Satisfied with their resolve, Kakashi continued. “Kiba, can you pick up their scent?!” The Inuzuka sniffed the air for a few second, and his expression grew grim.

“Yeah….I think they may be only a kilometer ahead of us…the air is really misty so I’m guessing that’s the waterfall’s drop off point. I can smell Hinata’s scent more clearly than Naruto’s… but they are both definitely ahead of us. But… I can also smell blood. It isn't much, but someone's hurt!” As he finished Sakura narrowed her eyes.

“Blood,” She thought to herself, “Naruto... Hinata. Don’t be hurt badly, I’m on my way!”

“Neji,” Kakashi said, “Use your Byakugan to scout the area ahead of us.” As he glanced back, he saw the Hyuga Prodigy staring forward with his eyes already active.

“I’m already on it,” Neji started, “I can see the base of the waterfall. Surrounding the base of the waterfall is a small body of water: 100 meters in diameter it would seem. Scattered throughout the water looks to be scattered rocks of various shapes and sizes……Other than that, there is about a 30 meter clearing separating the waterfall’s waterbed and the foliage. A ten meter wide stream carries the water from the waterbed into the forest. Due to the mist being caused by the falling water it is hard to say…but it appears as though there may be something behind the waterfall.”

Hearing Neji’s description of the clearing only a Kilometer ahead, the Konoha platoon hastened their pace. It took only six minutes before they could faintly hear the roaring waterfall, and another two before they had made it to the edge of the clearing Kakashi called the group to halt. As the waterfall roared the Konoha Platoon remained motionless as they searched the clearing for ambushes. Sakura noticed as Kakashi kept his head looking up. Not long after, from the direction Kakashi looked came one of Sai’s Ink Birds. Pulling out an empty scroll, Kakashi allowed the bird to ram into it as it shifted to form a written text from Sai. After scanning over the contents, Kakashi seemingly relaxed.

“According to Sai’s report, there isn’t any movement back at the Temple. He also sent a bird to scan this area, and it was also empty. It is too soon to let your guard down, but we can move more casually.” With that, the team moved slowly in formation. Kiba took the point, and after taking a brief pause, Kiba moved forward into the heart of the pond. Reaching his hand into a group of jagged rocks, he pulled out a torn up lavender hoodie that could not belong to anyone other than Hinata.

“Damn….this isn’t good!” The Inuzuka was beginning to panic. Matching his feelings, Akamaru began to whimper. He soon found Kakashi kneeling beside him.

“Kiba…. Calm down.” Kakashi said, “There is only a hoodie here. The fact that neither Hinata or any traces of blood are here means that the jacked floated here from further in the waterfall…Neji, you said that the waterfall seemed suspicious, check to see if you can see better now that we are just in front of the mist.”

“Very well,” Neji said. Narrowing his activated Byakugan, Neji peered into the falling water. “Now that we are closer…Yes, there is without a doubt some form of cave formation just beyond the Waterfall!”

“I see,” Kakashi began, “Shino?”

“We aren’t being followed. That’s because, my insects are moving in formation around us. If the enemy is following us, they aren’t close enough to cause us trouble for the moment. In addition, some of my insects that were in front of the formation have reported back. Neji’s Byakugan would appear to be correct. A small cave formation sits just behind the waterfall.”

Taking a breath, Kakashi gave his orders. “Alright, let’s move into the cave formation! But stay cautious, we have to be prepared to find anything in there.”

“Yes!” answered his platoon in unison. Watching them from a tree on the edge of the clearing, a shadow sat quietly observing.

Quickly moving around the right side of the waterfall, Sakura found they would be able to enter cave formation without having to get soaked. Taking the lead, she moved into the cave quickly followed by the members of Team Kurenai. Moving into the entrance, it did not take her long to spot a fire. Taking a few seconds to adjust to the lighting and move forward, Sakura’s heart skipped a beat in joy. In front of her sat Hinata, her hands seemingly on her knees and with Naruto’s jacket on. She could make out Naruto’s spikey blond hair just on the other side of the Hyuga Hieress.

“Naruto! Hinata!” Sakura exclaimed, “Are you two ok?!” Almost matching her reaction, Akamaru barked in triumph, but slowly gave yet another whimper.

“Yes, but Naruto has a cut on his arm,” Hinata said as she turned her head to the voice behind her. Hinata hid eyes were under her bangs. Despite a soft smile on Hinata’s face, Sakura could hear the sadness in her voice.

“Hinata….I’m sorry for how I’ve acted… I didn’t know about your mother until Neji explained it!”

“SAKURA!” Neji exclaimed. Once more he had failed to anticipate the actions of Team Kakashi. “Hinata- Sama forgive me. I only wished for them to fully understand the situation. Had I known how they would…”

“It’s ok…Neji-Nisan,” Hinata said. Her eyes were still hidden. Taking off the jacket on her shoulders, Hinata carefully folded it, and placed it before Naruto. “Thank you for letting me borrow your jacket Naruto- Kun, but I’m alright now that we’ve dried off.” Having placed the jacket before Naruto, Hinata stood up, turned, and exited the cave. As she exited the cave formation, Kiba and Shino took steps to the side so she could pass… between her current state, and the knowledge they had just learned, they did not know how to approach their comrade. Akamaru curled himself by Kiba's leg. Neji stood with his head down: his hands clenched. The narrowed eye of Hatake Kakashi watched her carefully before it focused on Naruto.

Kneeling beside Naruto, Sakura began to treat with the poorly bandaged gash on Naruto’s arm. “You Baka! You can’t even tie a bandage right.” Taking a slight pause, Sakura continued, “It’s a good thing you jumped to save her, but next time think of a better strategy than blind luck… Naruto?!” Sakura paused as she noticed Naruto's expression. His eyes were widened and his mouth was open....a face frozen in shock. "W-what...impossible....there's no way....” He could not stop hearing Hinata’s words, and his mind continued to replay what the conversation he just had.

“No… it’s alright.” Hinata said slowly. “After how awfully I treated you… you should know………Naruto-Kun, two days ago was the Twenty-Third of July… the anniversary of the day I killed my mother.”

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

Hinata with that kind of outfit would definitely look more badass, nice input
lol I wish I could claim it, but no.

Lol though I'd prefer that she wore some form of undershirt.... Hyuga Hieress can't go tramping around! Just as a random FYI... trying to get my next chapter done and loaded up on Saturday... sorry, but school's been a pain!
