Most people say Minato got to the battlefield faster than the other kages even Tobirama, becuase of FTG.But it was Shunshin that got him there so fast.

Here Tobirama says Minato's Shunshin is faster than his.Which is refering to Body Flicker.[ ]

"The Body Flicker is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed."

So Minato used pure speed to get to the battlefield. Not FTG.

I think there is another scan when tobirama says my S/T is inferior to yours or something like that.

Funny thing is, Not only did he beat them to the battle field, He also had time to Warp The juubi's beast bomb, Place a kumai out to sea and have a little chat with naruto, before the other kages even arrived.

Quite a testament to just how damn fast konoha's yellow flash actually is.

Obviously and no biggie, almost any ninja can perform the body flicker technique.

Body Flicker Technique (瞬身の術, Shunshin no Jutsu)
Ninjutsu, D-rank, Supplementary
Users: Gaara, Hatake Kakashi, et al

A movement technique with extreme speed like a gust of wind!!

Appearing along with the wind, disappearing like the wind: the ninja's instantaneous movement technique. This super fast movement is almost impossible to grasp with the naked eye. If seen by an ordinary person, it would seem as if the user has teleported... In reality, the user has vitalized his body with chakra and moved at super speeds. The amount of chakra used up differs depending on the distance and elevation of their stopping point in comparison to the starting point.

The cloud of sand dances in the wind

[picture of Gaara using the Body Flicker]
[picture of Haku using the Body Flicker]
[picture of Kakashi using the Body Flicker]
↑→Haku's and Kakashi's Body Flicker. Dancing leaves and disappearing in an instant like mist. There are many variations of the "Body Flicker" for the various villages and user. Gaara's use includes the "Sand Body Flicker"*. There are also the "Mist Body Flicker"**, "Water Body Flicker"***, and "Leaf Body Flicker"****, among many others.

*Sand Body Flicker (砂瞬身, Suna Shunshin)
**Mist Body Flicker" (霧瞬身, Kiri Shunshin)
***Water Body Flicker" (水瞬身, Mizu Shunshin)
****"Leaf Body Flicker" (木ノ葉瞬身, Konoha Shunshin)

It's not about who has body flicker but whos is faster.

Nope, shunshin can be interpreted as FTG. Tobirama doesnt know what minato's hiraishin is called, so it makes the most sense that tobirama associated hiraishin with shunshin. Rin did the same thing when she was unaware of minato's jutsu name, & also the fact that minato arrived via kunai should seal this theory shut U_U.

Yet hiruzen is fully aware and didn't correct him or anything?, Neither did minato.

Plus he didn't question when Minato called tobirama and hiruzen over to teleport them, After the hiruzen asked about the markings, Tobirama didn't go "markings?", he simply said "Your quick yo act".
He seems to know what minato was doing.

Completely agree. So did sasuke and juugo. Sasuke and juggo came abit later but they had to rest 3 times (unlike edo kages) over 1000 miles distance that is from konoha to battlefield, which would result in greater shunshin speed of sasuke and juugo =D

Shunshin was also associated as "teleporting" by multiple konoha ninja

I never said that tobirama didnt know that minato can teleport, im saying that tobirama has no knowledge of what minato calls his technique. Tobirama calling it "hiraishin" would make absolutely no sense canonically, because hiraishin is translated to "flying thunder god". There's no possible way that tobirama knew that, so he just called it the jutsu that most suited his movement.

Also, tobi compared minato's FTG to his own, if tobi was simply referring to shunshin then why didnt he compare his speed to everyone's? Tobi said that his shunshin is faster than "mine", why didnt he say "ours" instead if that's how they arrived on the battlefield?

Thats faulty logic logic. If he didn't know what Minato's hirashin was called he would have simply said "space time tech"
He wouldnt call it shunshin, which is a completely different technique.
Rin called FTG shunshin because she didnt know better. To the naked eye, shinobis like Minato are able to move so fast it seems like they disappear. Which is why Rin couldn't tell the difference. Tobirama on the other hand is another S/T user. He wouldnt make that mistake.

Maybe he prides his self on his Body flicker and he thought it was impressive that minato surpassed even his?.

Hiruzen was with tobirama, Yet he did not correct him neither did minato. If minato wasn't that far ahead they would've seen the kunai and hiruzen would immediately what was going on.
Even hiruzen said "Your as fast as ever minato", Saying nothing about FTG.

No, As i already stated shunshin can be interpreted as "teleporting" by other ninja. Tobirama was merely commenting on minato's teleportation, which far exceeded his own.

Rin called FTG shunshin because she didnt know better. To the naked eye, shinobis like Minato are able to move so fast it seems like they disappear. Why is why Rin couldn't tell the difference. Tobirama on the other hand is another S/T user. He wouldnt make that mistake.

Rin called minato's FTG shunshin because she had no other name for it, this proves that people can interpret shunshin & hiraishin both ways, regardless if they're the same technique or not.

@Bold: Pure assumption, just because tobi is a s/t user, doesnt mean that he knows what hiraishin is. Thats like saying minato knows what RS is just because he created the rasengan....
