Maybe he prides his self on his Body flicker and he thought it was impressive that minato surpassed even his?.

You cant seriously expect me to believe this...

Hiruzen was with tobirama, Yet he did not correct him neither did minato. If minato wasn't that far ahead they would've seen the kunai and hiruzen would immediately what was going on.

Why is there a need for a correction? What benefit would come from tobirama knowing what minato calls his jutsu? There's literally no point in correcting tobi & even if hiruzen did, i doubt he would give a rat's ass.

Even hiruzen said "Your as fast as ever minato", Saying nothing about FTG.

He could've simply been referring to FTG, why is that not a possibility....?

I dont see why its more believable that minato used regular foot speed to accomplish the feats that he did. To me it just seems like you're overhyping minato wayyy too much over a simple statement.

Dude he got there with pure speed.Body Flicker.Just accept it.

Lol dont quote me if you have no argument, just accept that you are at least 80% wrong.

He indeed called it the same thing.

wow.....

minato created rasengan, dows he know the name of naruto's RS??? Same damn concept, tobi created "hiraishingiri", so he automatically knows what minato calls his jutsu?? That makes no canonical sense....

No, As i already stated shunshin can be interpreted as "teleporting" by other ninja. Tobirama was merely commenting on minato's teleportation, which far exceeded his own.

Rin called minato's FTG shunshin because she had no other name for it, this proves that people can interpret shunshin & hiraishin both ways, regardless if they're the same technique or not.

@Bold: Pure assumption, just because tobi is a s/t user, doesnt mean that he knows what hiraishin is. Thats like saying minato knows what RS is just because he created the rasengan....
Thats where you're wrong. Like I said, to the untrained eye, shunshin can be as fast as teleporting. That is why when Itachi blitzed Bee, to Bee it looked like he had teleported to them. To illustrate the fault in your logic, let me use this illustration
2 horse riders are racing. Rider one wins the race. Rider 2 says to Rider 1 "Your donkey is faster than mine". Eventhough he knows its a horse, he doesnt know rider one's horses name so he calls it a donkey. Does that make any sense to you?

Everyone except you on this thread has agreed it's body flicker.I really don't see what you are arguing about.

Lol you fanboys

You cant prove me wrong, so whether you agree with the facts or not is up to you, but right now you are on the wrong side of this debate.

Oh & Btw

Yeah his FTG is faster than Tobirama's.

I didnt know that he counted as "only me"

Guys don't argue with draphsin. He's a 3rd grader. Your level of intellect will go down to his level if you continue to argue with him. You can see that he can't even use common sense. Pure stupid and dumb..

Pretty confident for someone who has no proof of his claims.

Well since tobirama seems to know the basics of FTG, What makes you think he wouldn't know the name also?.

As i said before, He never questioned these "markings" hiruzen mentioned or anything.

DRAPHSIN'S LOGIC:

1. Shunshin is the same as ST

Nope, shunshin can be interpreted as FTG. Tobirama doesnt know what minato's hiraishin is called, so it makes the most sense that tobirama associated hiraishin with shunshin. Rin did the same thing when she was unaware of minato's jutsu name, & also the fact that minato arrived via kunai should seal this theory shut U_U.

2. Tobirama doesn't know about Minato's ST

Shunshin was also associated as "teleporting" by multiple konoha ninja
I never said that tobirama didnt know that minato can teleport, im saying that tobirama has no knowledge of what minato calls his technique. Tobirama calling it "hiraishin" would make absolutely no sense canonically, because hiraishin is translated to "flying thunder god". There's no possible way that tobirama knew that, so he just called it the jutsu that most suited his movement.

3. Rin made a mistake before so is Tobirama

Rin called minato's FTG shunshin because she had no other name for it, this proves that people can interpret shunshin & hiraishin both ways, regardless if they're the same technique or not.

This guy does not realize that Tobirama is a hokage and has ST tech known as Hiraishin..Both Hiruzen and Tobirama cannot tell the difference between a shunshin and ST tech according to him..

Okay...I never once said that shunshin cant be as fast as teleporting. This actually supports my side because as i said, shunshin can be associated as teleporting, therefore if tobirama called minato's FTG "shunshin" then he could've easily been referring to the teleporting & not foot speed.

2 horse riders are racing. Rider one wins the race. Rider 2 says to Rider 1 "Your donkey is faster than mine". Eventhough he knows its a horse, he doesnt know rider one's horses name so he calls it a donkey. Does that make any sense to you?

Wow what a failed example...donkeys are not associated with horses in this example, shunshin is associated with teleporting, FTG is also associated with teleporting. Therefore if tobirama was talking about shunshin, then he can easily be talking about teleporting. Hence "your shunshin (teleporting) was faster than mine." Tobirama's statement makes perfect sense when I put it that way. However if tobi goes on to say "your shunshin (movemet speed) is faster than mine" then the obvious problem arises; Why didnt tobirama refer to "our" (the hokage's) movement speed instead of only his?

Already rebutted this, minato created rasengan, does he know the name of RS?

Guys above ^^^^ Shunshin is still a jutsu ;p

Yes, it is but it is different from a space time tech like FTG which can bend time and space. It's very clear that Tobirama called it shunshin.

DRAPHSIN'S LOGIC:

1. Shunshin is the same as ST

Shunshin can be interpreted as teleporting, which in turn can be interpreted as FTG. Its a homophone...

2. Tobirama doesn't know about Minato's ST

Tobirama has no idea how minato's S/T works, it could be a form of shunshin for all he knows.

3. Rin made a mistake before so is Tobirama

rin didnt make a mistake, she didnt know the name & so she called it shunshin. Tobirama doesnt know the name of minato's justu so he's generalizing......

This guy does not realize that Tobirama is a hokage and has ST tech known as Hiraishin..Both Hiruzen and Tobirama cannot tell the difference between a shunshin and ST tech according to him..

Give me proof that they can tell when minato is using his FTG. Just because they're hokage doesnt mean that they know every jutsu & how it works, minato's FTG causes him to disappear, just like shunshin.

This guy does not realize how absurd it is to think that minato's appearance in chapter 630 wasnt FTG. :sy:

Minato knows the basics of RS, does he know the name of it???

As i said before, He never questioned these "markings" hiruzen mentioned or anything.

Why does he need to? Thats like minato questioning the wind nature being added into an RS.

Minato pulling out a marked kunai is a pretty big indication on what minato was planning to do, Unless Hashirama/Tobirama/Hiruzen's eyes can't keep up with a simple kunai throw?.

Unless minato was so far ahead of the other hokages (because of his faster body flicker), They didn't know he had thrown a kunai or anything.

Also, tobi compared minato's FTG to his own, if tobi was simply referring to shunshin then why didnt he compare his speed to everyone's? Tobi said that his shunshin is faster than "mine", why didnt he say "ours" instead if that's how they arrived on the battlefield?

i get it...seems like they're having trouble tho

Ok boy. I'll reply this time. Better input this to your head.

1. FTG = Space time tech. It can bend time and space. It makes Minato the fastest man because he can go anywhere where his mark is INSTANTLY.

Space time technique DOES NOT INVOLVE TIME, therefore speed = ZERO!

2. By your logic, Sandaime's shunshin pales in comparison with FTG with only a small difference. We all know that sandaime, sasuke and the other's don't have FTG except for Tobirama

3. If Tobirama uses his ST tech on them, how come they did not arrive at the same time. I mean Sasuke came late.

4. We saw that Minato can teleport beings. Why would he go to the battlefield leaving his comrades behind? Why would Tobirama leaves Sasuke and his company behind. Is Sasuke's shunshin fast enough to compete with a space time technique in such a great distance?

With these info, you can use now your COMMON SENSE! Plain and simple!

Lastly, the evidence there is Tobirama saying they used SHUNSHIN. A Hokage level with a ST tech on his own surely knows the difference between the two.

My turn to ask and you better answer.

1. What evidence do you got that they did not use shunshin? Can you give one?

2. What made you say that Tobirama doesn't know the difference between Minato's FTG and Shunshin? Can you back it up?

Its completely possible that they didnt see him throw his kunai, but thats beside the point. Even if tobirama saw the kunai, that still doesnt disprove why he called his teleporting "shunshin".

Who is carrying Minato's marked kunai on the battlefield then? Can you atleast prove that the kunai was already there in the battlefield?
