"Sometimes......Forgetting is a type of happiness"

۞ Basic Information | 基本情報

Name | Zero Nezumi
Nick Names | The Rat Prince | Black Rose Swordsman
Age | 22
Gender | Male
Clan | N/A

Looks | 外見

Zero is a tall, lean-built young man with medium length silky silver hair and Indigo eyes. He wears five silver earrings; three on his left ear cartilage (top) and two on his right (bottom), and bears the Mark of the Hunter on his neck. The mark is fashioned after a fancy cross with an open X that is capped by four swords running through it. He is usually seen in black pants, and an indigo undershirt which he wears a black coat with embroidery patterns over. He wears a pair of boots in place of the opened-toed sandals common to Shinobi, and has a type of leather belt around his waist for when he carries his swords with him. When not in combat, he wears a simple indigo buttoned down shirt, black pants, and matching open toed sandals. In colder conditions he is usually seen wearing a indigo and white scarf. Most of his clothing are adorned by a black or indigo rose which makes him easily identifiable. After the death of his brother Zero grew out his hair and used Yoro's pink string with a broken bell attached at the end to tie his hair into a ponytail. He dons an indigo armband with a black crescent moon on his shoulder, a tribute to Kurogane.

Personality | 性格

Stoic, distant, cold, and calculating; ruthless beyond measure. These are the terms in which he is described by his enemies. While Zero is considered to be too serious by some of his friends, he is almost the opposite of how his adversaries describe him. He is extremely perceptive, able to quickly recognize the patterns and mistakes made by his opponents for him to exploit. He is compassionate to those he is close to, loyal to his village, and has a strong desire to protect those unable to do it themselves. He enjoys being sarcastic, especially so when giving advice. He doesn't lie, but he does keep secrets and tell half truths, and always openly speaks out against things he doesn't believe to be just. He recently realized that the current strength he possessed wouldn't be enough to survive the new age, and as such began anew his quest for power. After the memories of his childhood returned to him, Zero became somewhat odd, sometimes switching between his current self and the more kindhearted person he used to be.

All Things Fall Apart

Zero was born to Tōruzu and Heruga Nezumi in the village of Iwagakure. His mother was a captivating songstress, weaver of tales, an artist by nature. On the other hand, his father was high ranking shinobi whose phenomenal combat prowess earned him the epithet "The Troll of Iwagakure". During his time he had seen many horrors of war, even carried out some of those same horrors for the well being of his home. He was the foundation on which the other shinobi were built, they idolized him, believing themselves unbeatable in his presence. But Tōruzu had grown weary of battle after the birth Zero and Yoro. During the second great shinobi war Iwagakure had allied itself with Konoha and a third party, and set out to attack Sunagakure and Kumogakure from three fronts, and Tōruzu was right in the thick of it. It was then that he faked his own death, making it seem as if he had fallen in battle, and retreated homeward to retrieve his family. Zero and his family would flee Iwagakure that very night, travel through the land of Waterfall, and up through the Land of Iron, before settling on a small island now known as Kai in the Artemis Isles to become a simple farmer. Though his father was against it at first he eventually gave in and taught his sons the art of ninjutsu and weaponry skills, thinking they might need it to protect themselves if the situation ever arose. However, no such thing was on the twin's minds. Their goal was to become stronger, so strong that their names would be sung across the Ninja World, and as such they furthered their training on their own. They would also learn what they could from travelers passing through the island. One such traveler was a rather skilled individual know as Akiza, and unbeknownst to them, she was quite famous in the Ninja World. It was her, who for her own entertainment taught them to use the wind element, which Zero later discovered was his elemental affinity.

Zero enjoyed those blissful days of training with his brother and tending the fields alongside his father, but those times were nearing their end. The reason for this was that the Artemis Isles had survived by selling information to various lands. And as information tends to be a dirty business, the Artemis Isles - like others - had made enemies, and a war was on the way. One that would change the course of his life. War. The Land of Snow had tried to invade the Isles time and time again, but luck was never on their side though. And their victories never did last long. However, word had gotten to Iwagakure that Tōruzu was alive, and they immediately sent reinforcements to the northern shinobi forces with the sole purpose of hunting him down. These reinforcements were none other than the Blast corps themselves.

It happened while just after the seventeenth birthday of the twins. Zero and his brother were returning from their daily sparring match in the mountains - he heard large explosions in the direction of his home and rushed over, only to find his house ablaze and in shambles. His mother was limping away as his father stood gallantly, dispatching all who came to challenge him or dared to pursue his wife. The men had taken notice of the boys as they approached and one broke off and rushed towards them, but was knocked away by Tōruzu who came riding in on a small wave of earth. He stood back to back with his son as their enemies surround them and shouted for Zero and Yoro to draw their swords as he moved for for the opponent nearest to him. Zero;s movements were already dull from training all day, his arms were numb, and the cold was eating away at his bones. He knew his brother felt the same, but they had no choice but to fight on. He lunged at the closest one, who simply sidestepped to the right, causing him to stumble forward. The assailant used the opportunity to grab him from behind, but Zero simply utilized the momentum from stumbling forward to go into a roll. As soon as his feet hit the ground he jumped backwards, rotating his sword as he does so in order to impale the attacker. He turned to his next target as first man's lifeless body hit the ground and performed a downward vertical slash, but the Iwagakure shinobi had expected it. He concentrated explosive chakra into his palm and created a small explosive blast that broke his weapon, but as the broken piece flew Zero grabbed it and brought it down on the man's forehead. Another shinobi quickly took his place, leaving Zero no time to catch his breath; extending his arms in order to grab his face. He hand seen what they could do to his weapon, and knew that he would die if the man caught him, but he was unable to move. As the man was just inches from his face a katana appeared from nowhere to pierce him through the skull. Yoro had saved him.

The boys briefly glanced to their father who had already taken out a handful and was currently on his last one. Tōruzu performed his own vertical slash, but the assailant concentrated his explosive chakra into his palm and created a small explosive blast that broke his weapon. He then grabbed Tōruzu and released a small explosion as the twin's yelled in disbelief, but their voices voice were drowned out by the sound of the following explosion. To Zero's surprise it was the Iwagakure shinobi that fell and not his father. His upper body was pitch black, as if clad in steel. Before he could ask what had happened more men approached them, and the fighting continued. There was an occasional explosion as the two sides clashed, and each time Zero, Yoro, and their father were pushed back even further. He had noticed that his father seemed to be creating more and more weapons out of thin air, it was an ability he had never seen before, and would definitely ask him about once they made it through this ordeal. They had been driven so far back that all that lay behind them was a cliff, but the Blast corps's forces were waning. Both boys were utterly exhausted, Zero's arms were dead, one of his hands was bloodied and useless, and he was out of chakra, and Yoro wasn't doing any better than he was. Tōruzu father knew this of course, but encouraged them to stand firm, and they stood once more and tried to catch their breath. It was then that a kicked connected to Zero's chest. A kick from his father that sent him flying into Yoro and over the edge of the cliff and into the icy water below. Zero yelled as he fell, watching helplessly as a widespread explosion consumed the snow capped mountainside. The last he saw of his father was his back, as the shockwave slammed his head against an opposing earthen structure and separated him from Yoro's grasp. He went limp and fell into the freezing depths.
The Rat's King

Zero washed ashore on the land of frost and was picked up by a shinobi who happened to be passing by on his way through. After several days he woke to found himself cleaned and his hand and head wrapped in bandages. Across the room he saw an old man with gray hair and red lines that stretched from his eyes staring back at him. The man introduced himself as UzumakiJake, a sage who traveled throughout the ninja world for the sake of partying and getting wild. Zero attempted to introduce himself as well, only to find that he couldn't remember. It wasn't just his name he had forgotten, but everything else about himself. It was then that Jake handed him a broken sword he had found clenched in Zero's hand when he found him, and on it's hilt was engraved the name "Zero". With at least his name settled jake suggested that the two travel together until he regained his memories. In the eight months that passed as they traveled Zero had learned quite a few things about his companion. Despite Jake's laid back attitude, he was strong, undoubtedly so. He had witnessed that strength first hand when he watched Jake and The Pervy Sage go head to head in the Land of Honey. The damage they caused was phenomenal, but Zero never saw the outcome since he had to seek shelter from their destruction. He had also learned things about himself as well. He was adept in Kenjutsu, the sword moved to his every whim as if it was a part of him since birth. He also realized that he could easily control the wind element, it seemed to call out to him in hushed whispers. It felt comfortable and familiar.

It wasn't long after this that Jake took Zero as his apprentice, teaching him almost everything he knew. Zero absorbed everything he could, but out of everything he was taught he ended up taking a liking to the rat summoning contract and it's various techniques available to him, eventually forming a bond with the ninja rat known as Shu. Like Zero, Shu had an affinity for wind, but was also oriented towards kenjutsu. They won countless fight together as the traveled, and Zero had become so adept in utilizing the contract's techniques that he was given the moniker "The Rat Prince" . As they continued their travels they came across a traveling swordsman by the name of Keotsu. Zero had heard rumors about his skill with the blade, and challenged him in order to test his own abilities. The swordsman hand gladly accepted and they clashed - and as expected, the brown haired man was a talented beyond measure. He used a style he referred to as the Command arts that augmented his kenjutsu prowess, pressuring Zero during the entire duel. The only thing that allowed him to hold his ground was the fact that his two swords allowed him to attack and defend simultaneously, and even then he was only barely managing to keep up. The intense clash lasted for one full day, with neither side yielding an inch. Jake stepped in when no victor could be decided, and both agreed to a draw before collapsing from exhaustion. Zero awoke in a cave by a warm fire and looked around. keotsu sat at the opening watched the rain outside as it fell. Little did they know that this chance encounter would become the turning point in both their lives; the beginnings of a lifelong friendship, and an unmatched rivalry.

The three would travel together for the next four months before going their separate ways, Keotsu would head for Kirigakure, while Zero and Jake headed for Nagi Island. It was here that Zero me Gobi Gobletsson, the Sage of Strength and Endurance. After relentless persuasion he would train Zero in the earth element. It was slow going since Gobi had other things to attend to, but he eventually mastered the element under the tutelage of one of it's most renowned practitioners. Zero and Jake would then travel onwards to the Land of Noodles with Gobi accompanying them part of the way, as he headed for an Archipelago that he would later claim as Ancrath. On their Journey Zero had noticed that Jake had been acting strange. He had become overly cautious and less talkative, but he would find out why soon enough. Several days after they arrived at their destination they were approached by a group of men clad in armor. As they surrounded them Zero's hand instinctively reached for his swords, but Jake stopped him and shook his head. It seemed as if he had some kind of history with the men, but he had never spoken of them in all their time together. Jake lead the group to a small clearing near the coast and inquired as to why they insisted on chasing him. Of the men in armor, one who appeared to be the leader recited what seemed to be a poem."Education and armor, Self-defense, our tribe. Our language, our leader. All help us survive". Zero could see the pain on his master's face upon hearing these words, but Jake assured them he could no longer go back. They all attacked at once, but Jake was dealing with them easily while Zero struggled again two that broke from the group. The fighting was intense and unrelenting, as the men who called themselves 'Mandalorians' continued their onslaught.

Blood dripped in a crimson streamed down his face as the battle cries and resounding wails of agony tore through the air. Jake was giving his all and Zero was determined not to be outdone and he cut down one of the armored men with his electrified swords. He couldn't help but feel as if he had been in a situation like this before, but he couldn't recall when it was since his memories was gone. One of the Mandalorians performed a spinning kick towards him, but being lost in thought he was unable to dodge and was sent flying backwards into a formation of jagged rocks. He went to stand only to discover that a broken chunk of earth had lodge itself into his side, and fell to one knee. He was losing blood at an alarming rate, but his enemies continue towards him. He leaned back on his right leg and jumped forward wrapped in a vortex on lightning that shocked the incoming men. He landed face first on the ground and attempted to stand again, only to feel a shaped pain in his back. With his last breath one of the Mandalorian had thrown four kunai that impaled from behind. He pulled them free and tossed them aside before falling back to the ground. He could literally feel as the life flowed from his body, and as his consciousness began to fade a familiar face appeared before him. He felt himself being rolled onto his back as he heard Jake jokingly say that it was a sin for the student to pass on before his master. He felt the warmth return to his body and fell unconscious. He awoke to find the coastline devastated. Gigantic earthen pillars littered the rocky terrain and the broken pieces of armor from the Mandalorians law scattered about. Near the beach was a crater fifty meters deep and thirty meters wide, being filled with water from the sea. Zero got up and looked around. His wounds were healed, but Jake was nowhere to be seen.
Red String Of Fate

After the Rat's King disappeared Zero continued to travel around the Ninja World, and his name had spread to lands he had never even been. Throughout his travels he had met and fought numerous people who possessed tremendous strength, and mastered the elements of fire and water. He would also discover that lightning, which was taught to him by a strange man by the name of Gats, was his secondary affinity. He eventually found himself in Amegakure, and resided there for a period of time as he recovered from the weariness of constat battles. it was during this time that he was given the opportunity to study rain release, a hidden ability that allowed the member's of the village to control the rain itself. Since he had already mastered water release and had wind as his primary affinity, Zero attempted to train himself to mix the two in order to recreate the rain release himself. It was slow going, and he didn't make much progress on his own, but just knowing that he could also manipulate this element to a certain extent rekindled the fire in his heart. He packed his belonging and once again continued his journey, but this time he had a destination in mind. It was one of the first places he had passed when he first lost his memory, and had recently received a letter to that instructed him to return there from the kage himself. It was a place that he would come to call home an even risk his life to protect. Kumogakure. He decided to stick to Konoha's borderlands on his journey, and passed by the Land of Grass, and the Land or Waterfall before briefly stopping in the the Land of Iron. It was here that he once again met Keotsu, but this time he was travelling with a blond haired samurai who had a child by his side, who introduced himself as Mifune. They found a place to settle and exchanged stories of what had happened since they last parted ways. Zero told him about how he learned of the rain element, the Rat King's disappearance, and his attainment of the Kenshin title. Keotsu about how much things had changed, and yet his friend remained the same - true to himself, and to Keotsu. He told Zero about how he had left the I've left this Ninja World for lands beyond the horizon. Lands where not only is chakra not taught or known of, but to places where it didn't seem to even exist. Unsurprisingly, Keotsu had also earned himself the title of Kenshin.

They talked well into the night, discussing a great deal of things before sparring with each other once more. Zero had gotten a lot stronger than before, but so had his friend, and they once again end up with a draw. Over the days that passed Keotsu decided to teach Zero the kenjutsu techniques he referred to as Command Art, and these same techniques would bring him victory over some of his greatest adversaries. The two again parted ways, and they wouldn't meet again until Keotsu rose to the position of Mizukage, and again at Akiza's 'Ascending'. Zero would arrive in Kumogakure two weeks after leaving the Land of Iron, and was shown to the Parthenon where the Raikage resided. The current head of the village hidden in the clouds was none other than Gin Ichimaru, a mysterious man who always seemed to be scheming something, but he felt comfortable in the presence of his old friend. Gin's time as Raikage was coming to an end, but before it did he wanted to make Zero an offer. He placed a medium sized box on his desk and slid it across to him, who then opened the box that contained a headband that the cloud symbol was engraved in. Gin knew of the issue with his memories and also the fact that Jake was missing. He was giving him a place to belong. Zero rubbed his fingers across the cloud symbol and asked for some time to think it over. He left the Parthenon and explored the village and it's people, and was surprised to find how energetic they were when he was finding it so hard to breathe. He couldn't remember his own family, so he didn't know what it felt like the have a place to return to, But as he watched the smiles of the villagers as they shuffled about he decided that he should give it a shot. He returned to the Raikage's office, picked up the headband from the desk, and tied it around his forehead. He was now a shinobi of Kumogakure. In the months that followed, Gin retired as the Sandaime Raikage, leaving Ciberr to run things as the Yondaime Raikage. Ciberr's rule was a short, and Daemon soon succeeded him as the Godaime Raikage. Zero had only been in the village for quite some time, but he felt as if he'd been there his entire life, and it grew close to his heart. It could even be argued that none showed a greater love for Kumogakure than he. Zero would eventually become a member of the Kinkaku Force alongside Seblax and Wakizashi, and theses three would eventually spearhead the attack on Sunagakure in the last Ninja World war. They had infiltrated deep with the village, and Zero had instructed them to move forward while he protected them from the rear. A Kunoichi know as Yoruichi then appeared in a burst of speed and leap towards him. He had tried to counter-surprise her with a Field of lightning, which she had no problem countering and before he could try to attack her again - Zero fell to Yoruichi's great speed and Wind Taijutsu. She had continued onward, leaving him seriously injured. He didn't remember what happened after that, but was brought back to Kumogakure by Seblax as the war eventually died out.

It was as he laid in bed, recovering from his injuries that the most peculiar thing took place. The Sovereign Sages descended up the world and terminated all wars and conflicts, started the world anew. Though the past wasn't forgotten, the lands had been returned to their original state and a period of peace began between all nations. But Zero could not forget his defeat at the hands of Yoruichi, it had left him unsure of his own abilities. He needed even more strength in order to survive in the New Age he found himself in, and briefly left Kumogakure in search for for power. He would find a man by the name of Nathan who would teach him the illusionary arts, a skill Zero had despised but would need to know in order to protect himself from it's effects. Their training was long, but Zero did well to endure it. Nathan would later become the Hokage, and with nothing more to teach, the two parted ways. He would travel northwest to the island of Ancrath to find one by the name of Edward. The two trained in the art of taijutsu for a time, but since both had matters to attend to the training was cut short. Zero had been informed that a package addressed to him had been delivered to the Raikage. As he headed back to his village he came across two Kunoichi, the first was called Nanazai, and the second was Yuki. They were also heading to Kumogakure, so the three decided to travel together. Nanazi carried a rapier, and more skill than he expected of her. It was surprising to say the least when Zero learned that like himself and Keotsu, she had earned the title of Kenshin. Yuki was strong in her own right, being able to absorb, manipulate, and release chakra taken from an opponent or technique his techniques thanks to the overlapping diamond tattoos on her palms. it took them three weeks to reach the land of lightning, they faced numerous obstacles, growing ever closer as they overcame them.

Zero introduced the two to Daemon, and the became member of Kumogakure from that moment on. After they had left the room the Raikage handed Zero a package with his name written in fancy letters, and he opened it. Neatly cushioned on the silky lavender cloth lay a broken sword with the name Yoro engraved in it's hilt. A wave of dizziness washed over him as he read the name, and had to lean against the desk for support. He knew that name, should have known it, but he the more he tried to remember, the worse the pain in his head became. Beneath the broken sword lay a letter which specified a date and a place, October sixteenth in The Land of Snow. As Zero turned to leave Daemon stopped him and told him of how the islands to the west had requested aid. He tasked him with resolving the situation there and bring the area under the control of Kumogakure. Zero accepted and picked a team consisting of Serpent, Wakizashi, Best, and Marco to accompany him. The five of them broke the islands into three sectors and split up into team. Zero and Best had taken the northern islands, Wakizashi and Marco the center, Serpent the south. After a month of fighting on and off, the group succeeded in driving off the invaders from the land of snow and renamed the area the Isles of Artemis. It would be under Kumogakure's protection, now and forever.
Two Swords, Two Edges

It had been two months since he left the Isles, and Zero now found himself fighting against a multitude of pursuers. He had been chased by the strange men ever since he stepped foot on the Land of snow, and they continued to come after him no matter how many of them were cut down. Their numbers seemed endless, but he refused to fall here. Night had long since fallen and Zero was fighting through a snow capped forest as he made him way to the place specified in the letter. The date was October fifteenth, he was a bit early, but was sure that the sender wouldn't have minded either way. His movements were becoming dull, his arms were numb, and the cold was eating away at his bones. A heap of bodies lay strung out on the path behind him, and only two men remained before. He lunged at the closest one who simply sidestepped to the right, causing zero to stumble forward and used the opportunity to perform a diagonal downward slash to his back, but Zero simply utilized the momentum from stumbling forward to go into a roll, and as soon as his feet touched the ground he jumped backwards, rotating his left katana as he did so in order to impale the attacker. Before the man's body had touched to ground, Zero maneuvered around him and aimed a horizontal slash at the second attacker's chest, but the man saw it coming. He swung his upwards, redirecting Zero's blade upwards before following up with a spinning back kick to his chest. As the man's leg came up for the kick, Zero thrust his second blade into his opponents foot and brought down his first blade vertically on his leg, cutting it clean off. He walked over to the assailant as he screamed in pain and tried to crawl away, and raised his left katana before stabbed the man through the heart. He pulled his weapon free of the body and flicked it so that the blood dislodged itself from the blade. He sheathed the swords on his hips and walked a few meters before collapsing against a nearby tree, and let out a long sigh as he pulled his coat tighter and adjusted the Indigo and white scarf around his neck.

After resting for a bit he peeled himself from the snow covered ground and threw on his gloves. Up ahead was the clearing where he was supposed to meet the one who sent him the letter. Once in the clearing he was able to distinguish an armed man, who he kept walking towards, but stopped a good distance from him. The night sky was rich with color as an aurora weaved its mystical trail across the it, illuminating the clearing in brilliant shades of green and purple. A frigid wind blew, it's cold bite stung Zero's skin as his coat flourished behind him like a cape. There was an eerie quiet around them, a calm before the storm. The man turned slowly, revealing a face covered by a mask and rested his hands on the two swords on his hips. He simply nodded in response when Zero asked if he was the one who sent the letter. He drew his swords and settled into a strange stance, letting Zero know that he had no intention of talking just yet. Zero drew his swords from their Sheaths and the two men charged towards each other. The two swordsmen moved by in a flash! Zero matched each blow, strike for strike, as they blitzed across the clearing, kicking up patches of snow, each man moved in a blinding flourish; Zero bounded over a snow capped boulder and twisted in the air, then took two quick steps around it before pushing off the ground so that he dove at the masked man with a quick spinning strike. The man rolled sideways and leapt backwards in order to dodge the blow, but Zero pushed of the ground in a great bound, catching back up to him. The man performed a high horizontal strike from the left – parried for a stab to the chest; a quick movement to his right allowed Zero to dodge the strike. The man waved his hands through the air and released a barrage of lightning needles, but Zero swung one of his swords and released a gust of wind that blew them away. He decided to keep pressing on and performed a quick horizontal slash to the mans face as he stepped forward, and to his surprise it almost connected. The man barely dodged to attack at the last second, causing the lower half of his mask to fall off.

The man recovered immediately and sweep Zero's legs from under him, then performed a downwards slash. He was rolled out of the way, but the man's second blade was already coming towards his right shoulder. He rose his left sword in an attempt to deflect the blade, but it connected with his shoulder first. To both their surprise the ma's sword bounced back and flew from his hands, Zero's shoulder had turned to steel. He had no idea how this happened, wasn't about going to wait to find out and got to his feet. He decided then to neglect all defense and took any attempt he could to strike. His offensive assault gave him the upper-hand, any movement that Zero made that exposed himself was accompanied by a fatal attack that the masked man was forced to block. Their duel raged on, both heavily injured but refusing to give an inch. Zero finally performed a moved he had needed - feinting a cross slash, he dropped to his knees and swung his blades around, catching the man across the knee across his knee. As the man stumbles Zero pushed off the ground with his blades clad in lightning, and plunged both blades into his chest. The man made a sudden move in attempt to escape, but he was too late. The swords ran through his right side and fell to the ground as his mask flittered away. Zero rose to his knees and looked down at the man, only to see a face just like his own staring back at him. The man whispered to him with a shaky breath as he struggle to breath,"Welcome back, little brother of mine". A wave of Dizziness overcame him and his head felt as if it was being being split open from the pain, and he cried out in agony. The memories of his past flowed back all at once. He remembered everything now. His father being attacked, fighting against the blast corps, falling from the cliff and being separated from Yoro. He picked up his brother as the tears streamed from his face, but it was the dying man who tried to comfort him. Yoro told Zero of how he had been captured and experimented on, used as a killing machine to take the lives of countless others, but now that he was reaching the end of his life, he wanted his brother to be the one to finish him. Yoro pointed to his swords and told Zero they were for him. It was call Izanagi: "He Who Invites". As the sun rose and brightened the field around them, Yoro wished Zero a happy birthday, and passed away quietly.
The Will And Legacy Of The Roses

Zero had buried his brother in the clearing, using his own two swords as a marker. He picked up Izanagi and mumbled a prayer for Yoro before heading back to the Isles. Once reunited with the other five who caught him up to speed with the current events of the Ninja World, he was presented with a sealed scroll that he read. He paced around in thought after reading it's contents. He knew something like this would happen since he had gotten his memories back, but he didn't expect it to be so soon. He had just lost his brother, and now that he was about to lose his very first teacher as well, the pain in his heart was too much to bear. He once again departed the Isles and headed to the mountain where she would 'Ascend'. He climbed it slowly, recalling how much he thought he had hated training under her back then. She was forever telling him how wrong his handseals were, and would even have him practice them for hours on end. She became lazy at times and could be a handful too. He stopped as he came across groups of people having tea and composes himself. After thinking himself ready, he walked over to the Sage of the Sharingan, who had keotsu sitting to her left, and an open seat to her right. It had been so long since they had met, but she hadn't aged a day, and Keotsu was no worse for wear. He spoke of his gratitude towards her, and recalled the days she had trained him on the Island of Kai; even chastised her for being lazy sometimes. He told her of how strong he had become because of her, and clenched his fist as his voice began to falter. He took a deep breath before continued, and promised her that the legacy of roses would would never die. Keotsu smiled at this, and Akiza burst out laughing and hugged them both. The spoke of their adventures and drank and danced late into the night. After Akiza ascended, Keotsu and Zero left together. She had given them the title to Roses. Keotsu was dubbed the White Rose Swordsman, while Zero received the title of the Black Rose Swordsman. They traveled together for a time, and Keotsu invited Zero to accompany him to the lands beyond the horizon, but Zero politely declined. He would have loved to go, but he had a home to protect. He told Keotsu that he would alway be awaiting his return, and that one day they would settle their old score, and the two once again went their separate ways.

Zero returned to Kumogakure to find that a lot of things had changed. The village's most powerful members had returned once again. There was no doubt in his mind that the Golden age would come again as they made plans for conquest. Zero himself still yearned for power, but this time the reason he sought power was to bring his brother's captors to justice, and for the protection of his village. He threw on his coat that had a black rose adorned on it's back, strapped his swords to the leather belt around his waist, and set off for the Isles of Artemis. He needed answers regarding the ability he had that enable him to turn his body to steal, and no one would know more than his father did if he was still alive. As the Sovereign Sages had suggested when they descended upon the world, he would take the limitless freedom granted to him, and Become a Legend.

To be continued.....

Chakra Control & Fūton Primary Affinity
Zero has exceptionally high chakra control, capable of chaining techniques with great speed and switching between elemental techniques with ease. Akiza had trained him thoroughly in the use of the Fūton element and had him go over it's numerous handseals for days on end. As befitting for a majority of her students Fūton became his primary affinity, and he mastered it in it's entirety, needing no more than one handseal for any Fūton type Technique.

Raiton Secondary Affinity
As a resident of the Land of Lightning, it was only natural that Zero took interest in the Raiton and it's inner workings. He trained himself vigorously in it's use and quickly took a liking to the element. It was during this time that he began visiting Storm Island in order to train himself in it's harsh conditions. The results of his training had paid off, he was able to perform handseals for Raiton techniques faster than the average shinobi, but he had paid a price for this. A lightning bolt shaped scar ran down his left arm, evidence of how much he had been stuck on his path to master the element.

Kenjutsu Mastery
Zero had long since taken an interest in the way of the sword, and was eventually trained in it's use by his father. He had shown tremendous talent as a dual wielder, so much so that not even his father could match him. The physical training he undertook to supplement his sword skills ultimately allowed him to swing his sword faster than the average shinobi, and he studien kendo relentlessly in order to become proficient it it's stances. After mastering the sword arts in their entirety Zero eventually received the title of "Kenshin", meaning Sword God. Even though he was given this title he still felt that he had more to learn, and would continue to do so once the opportunity presented itself.

Summoning Techniques, Rats & Vultures
Zero is the holder of the Rat Summoning Contract, which includes all rodents under the Rattus Genus that reside within the Underland of the Ninja World. He also has access to the Nezumi Techniques, the supporting ninjutsu of the Nezumi Contract. He possesses the tattoo of this summoning contract on his right side, spanning from just below his armpit and down to his waist.

He is also a signer of the Vulture Summoning Contract, which includes all Vultures belonging to the Aegypiinae and Cathartidae families which dwell in the mountainous regions of the Ninja World. He has access to the Royal Vulture Art, the supporting ninjutsu of the Vulture Contract. He possesses the tattoo of their summoning contract on his left arm, spanning from his shoulder down to his elbow.

The Cloud Heritage: The Will Of Lightning & Hazy Minds
Zero possesses a tremendously strong determination not only to live, but for victory and the protection of his homeland. This stems from the will of Lightning he inherited as a shinobi of Kumogakure. Having such determination means that in a fight, small injuries are not enough to stop him in his pursuit for glory.

As a shinobi of Kumogakure, Zero had a natural ability to see one range further than average in fog. This allowed him to see into long-range in thin fog, and into mid-range in thick fog because he was accustomed to the fog in the Land of Lightning, and his eyes had adjusted.

Weaponry & ninja Tool Assortment
Izanagi: "He who Invites": Originally belonging to Yoro, these dual katana are three feet in length and made of the purest chakra steel, with the metals themselves tinged black; the cutting edge of the blades hold a mirror finish that reflects despair into the eyes of all who gaze upon them. The blade's hilts are black in color and wrapped in indigo cloth. The tsuba are circular with the design of curling twin dragons enclosed on each and are black in color, while the lanyard loops housed intertwined tassels of indigo and black. The end cap of both katana holds a docking contraption that locks them together, which turns it into a double edged spear.

Zero has a wide assortment of kunai, shuriken and other various ninja tools stored in his pouch, which is kept tied on his left thigh for easy access. He carries smoke bombs, flash bombs, wires, paper tags, scrolls, Kunai, shuriken, and other tools.

Geez, where to start. The history is great, delving into the history of your family, especially your brother.

And then your tutelage of Akiza (...I miss our teacher..)...

Lots of emotion from this. It's good to see how far we've -you've - come since we started so long ago. Makes me want to get back in the game; I was leading the way for a while, and now you've over taken me.

Great bio, my friend. ^_^ Magnificent.

Sorry for the wait with this bud, had to finish Gen and Yesterday was pretty hectic. And I miss Akiza myself sometimes, though she makes fun of me when I tell her so. I still feel that I'm behind you, but maybe that's just from my perspective. I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you

Been well, been watching Kiri go to shit after the important people left/mia, myself included. But you know revamp is doing well.
Oh the blessed Revamp
