Well, there are many wonderful quotes in Naruto and some of them really have some great philosophy in it.
~
Well, throughout Naruto, Kishi tried to pass on many messages to people unlike some manga writers who just seek for blood and gore in their story. In fact, it will not be wrong to say that the story revolves mostly around those beliefs.
I'd like to excuse myself if I wrongly described some (please, tell me if I need to correct something) and I also added an "Other" option in the poll if I did miss some important ones.
Jiraiya first wrote this for His Tale of Gutsy Ninja book and Minato says that the character from the book has all the characteristics of Jiraiya, characteristics which will later be attributed to Naruto. This is one of the most emphasized line from Kishi in the whole manga. It can be a good principle in life signifying mostly that to never surrender and fight back, and you'll succeed one day. Falling into despair is futile. It's a direct message against suicide also.Jiraiya to Oro said:"All you do need, is the guts to never give up."
This is Naruto's nindo. Kishi put some emphasis on it during Neji-Naruto fight but it later became an important factor in the series when Sakura asked Naruto to bring back Sasuke. Apart on Naruto, Gaara and Hinata also seemed to have adapted part of this principle. Well, I won't elaborate much on this one as it's pretty clear what it means. Respecting your word! It is a message against against many things notably betrayal and other stuffs.Naruto said:"I never go back on my word!"
The 'Will of Fire' states that every true Konoha shinobi must love, believe, cherish and fight for the village's sake, as many previous generations had done before them. It retains a great flavor of love and patriotism.Shikamaru said:"I believe in the Will of Fire."
This recurrant fact is repeated throughout the story. I won't elaborate much on this one too since you all get my point.Kakashi said:"The next generation will always surpass the previous one."
This phrase is enriching in all aspects as it really shows that how faithfullness and loyalty is important in life. Kishi clearly gives an anti-betrayal message towards this; in a world where it's being more common.Obito said:"In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than scum."
This one shows how people are no more loyal and co-existing with each other. Kishi hints to many things with this - mostly on marriage, divorce and greed.Madara said:"The moment people come to know love, they run the risk of carrying hate."
Emphasized a lot in the Third Tails Filler Arc, the message form Jiraiya to Naruto leaves a powerful message that love prevails. If you truly love someone, it means that that person will always come back to you.Jiraiya to Naruto said:"Wherever someone thinks of you, that's where home is."
This quote of Sasuke to Gaara states that being in the darkness amplifies his power. Just like murderers and all kind of criminals who seek dark and bloody methods, Kishi perhaps wants to show us how their fate could unfortunately turn out if they don't make amends...Sasuke said:"I have long since closed my eyes... My only goal is in the darkness."
This one shows in the manga how believing in yourself and your self-improvement will lead you to victory against a person who no more has objectives and faith in life. Kishi directs a message to keep working, improving and strive for your motives to gain success. Stop surrending yourself to depression...Mifune said:"People who continue to put their lives on the line to defend their faith become heroes and will continue to exist on in legends!"
