These are definitely great quotes (in fact, Itachi had among the best quotes in the whole manga). I didn't put any though as these are mostly related to the manga only unlike the other ones except that I regret that I forgot the 6th one. Sorry to have forgotten the 6th one...

My favorite quote comes from Haku and I truly believe it with all my heart. "When someone has someone precious to protect, that is when they become truly strong."

Asuma's lesson is related to the Will of Fire though...

Well I dunno the exact words but I like it when Sakura says

"Next time, when you go to get Sasuke I'm coming too"

It shows that she knows that she was a burden to everyone and that she is going to make an effort to train her best. And then she came back much stronger so I really like that quote.

I could not agree more, KC. Kishi's work on Naruto does seem to be more inclined to getting lessons in life rather than bloody battles. This is in fact the very thing that makes Naruto exceptionally unique.

Naruto's "I never go back on my word" wields a lot of things other than determination.

Madara's quote though is something I think I've missed. "The moment people come to know love, they run the risk of carrying hate." So, this one caught my attention most as of this very moment.

There was something about love and hate that I forgot. I think its the thought of hate not being the opposite of love. I remember clearly though that a person would never really know of hate if he haven't felt love. Thus, Madara's words.

I prefer Jiraiya's but still I must agree that Madara's is awesome...

Nagato:

"We are but men, drawn to act in the name of revenge we deem to be justice. But when we call our vengeance justice, it only breeds more revenge... forging the first link in the chains of hatred."

How can you forget all of the memorable quotes Nagato (Pain) Preached to Naruto about pain,justice, and peace. Those have to be my all time favorite.

One error, the Jiraiya to Naruto one is actually Naruto to 3tails control filler kid. (I forgot his name >.>)

I liked my lessons more centered around something specific. Hence I prefer Asuma's protect the next generation over the entire spectrum of what the will of fire covers.

Another reason why I liked Kankuro, Sasori and Deidara's all differing art philosophy.

Well, it's a mix of both Madara's and Sasuke's. Through Madara, Kishi tries to explain how love and hatred are related and triggered everything (the storyline...) and through Sasuke, how darkness and hatred make you do devious deeds...

Nagato explains almost the same thing. Still, I should have posted 1 or 2 from him but not all. This isn't an all-favorite quote poll but rather the quotes that deliver the same. Some quote may be better than other (especially I'm Nagato fan) but if it delivers almost the same message, it doesn't really matter xd

Its not even so much what is said as what happens, at the end of the Negato/Invasion of Pain arc. Naruto, wants to kill Negato for what he did to his master. But insteaad of acting and being impulsive like Sauske, he asks Negato to tell his story/histrory. And Naruto and Negato came to a common understanding.

id have to go with naruto's quote " i never go back on my word"
i believe this quote is very important and a powerful influence because it gives you the drive you need to achieve the goals you probably couldn't achieve if you didn't have this mindset. Also i think everybody should never go back on their word, if people followed through with half the things they promise to somebody else, or even their selves i think it would make this world a better place for everybody.

Yeah, but she was not being a hypocrite in that instance as she went with naruto to retrieve sakura like she said she would. And, she actually tried to use force to bring him back unlike naruto who did nothing.

Actually...I hate Danzo...a lot. But he had a good quote.
"You are the leaves that bathe in the sun, and I am the roots that grow in the dark"
Sounds nice, and has many good meanings.
Here he admits he's not as charismatic and amazing as Hiruzen, but he says he will still strive to make a change in the shinobi world (in the background).
Or he could also be saying, that he'll make himself do the 'ugly' (dark) work, for the sake of his society. (konoha/shinobi world).
So you can get the lessons of perseverance + understanding your not perfect.
