Even before the war how in the hell did Naruto outsmart Kakuzu. He survived against Hashirama. HASHIRAMA the man that defeated MADARA. And Naruto just beats him?

Kekkai genkais, haxed abilities, extraordinary teamwork and incredible disabilities make them seem like they are unsurpassable.

The only exceptions are Naruto, Sasuke, Choji, Neji, Lee, Gaara and Shikamaru.

It doesn't mean gaara would > tobirama because he's from a younger gen..

I think its more like ninjas will surpass the people of close relation from the past generation.. allow me to explain..

Chouji will surpass his father
Shikimaru will surpass his father
Naruto will surpass Minato
Sasuke will surpass itachi and his father
Neji will surpass his father and uncle
kankuru will surpass sasori (HAH no)
tenten will sur....nvm
Kakashi will surpass his father

You get the point, this however obviously does not always apply and shouldn't be taken as a surety..just a fun thing to say

At that point in time Naruto shouldn't have been able to do anything to Kakuzu . Rasenshuriken is powerful but for somebody that is able to keep up with Kakashi, It shouldn't have connected.

Kakuzu had more intelligence,speed and durability at that point.

Current Naruto has surpassed the majority of the past generation. Thats because he is augmented with Bijuu chakra and sage mode. Current naruto>older generation>hidan and kakazu arc Naruto
