Hello guys, I am just a little bored so I would like to create anothr thread to discuss some other stuff. Recently people began to complain how Kishi disregarded or forgot the hype he gave to shinobi/items etc., Indeed even when Itachi was brought Kishi proved that empty hype is empty.

Conclusion: Itachi lost Yata Mirror/Someone stole Yata Mirror from Poor Itachi or Kishi wanted to show that Yata Mirror was useless at this point of manga. Itachi has enough stamina as he was Edo, also he unleashed Totsuka blade to seal Nagato, while no Yata ? Answer it yourself.

He didn't use it , so that means he didn't use it. He also didn't comment or think to himself anything regarding Yata at all as an Edo. So its unknown what would've happened if he used it.

Masashi Kishimoto tends to reserve a characters potential in instances where he wants another character or scenario to shine. For example: Kakashi didn't use Kamui against Deva path when he had numerous instances to do so.

Does this mean he couldn't have used Kamui while fighting Deva path? No.

Though hyperbole, you haven't discredited Yata's abilities as it was designed to be an unreachable defense by negating any offences performed against it in the realms of the Narutoverse. ​

Maybe Itachi didn't use it because in case he was put back under Kabuto's control, he wouldn't want Kabuto to know about Yata and use it to his advantage/
