And Itachi used Susanoo to discharge the lightning into the ground beside him. Susanoo is not in direct contact with users body, so no electricity could be lead into Itachi. The lightning cannot strike more targets on its way to the ground, unless they aren't in contact with the ground. Thus it only stroke Susanoo, and didn't harm Itachi.

There's not a single proof that Susano'o allows electricity to pass through them and can help discharging the electricity.
Sasuke focussed the Kirin on Itachi and not on Susano'o. Itachi used Susano'o to protect himself from Kirin. But I know Yata Mirror protected him from the lightning.
What you said in the quoted part is utterly senseless. Just wait, KCMNaruto will prove you wrong on this.
According to him, Itachi got laid on the ground because of Kirin.
And what you said is that Kirin passed through Susano'o which is not in contact with Itachi's body and thus discharged into the ground completely
According to me, Itachi shielded himself using Yata Mirror to avoid a powerful jutsu like Kirin.

After reading this on weapon techniques: , you might understand, why I see a weapon as part of users total power, since for instance puppets are just a weapon, but the user develops certain techniques to use his puppets. So how would you classify Sasori? =D

Well I agree completly with you on this part, but this logic doesn't apply to Yata Mirror and Totsuka Blade and will explain why below =D

Sasori created his weapons himself, especially puppets which were equipped with different types of weapons. That is true and In Sasori case I see puppets as extension of Sasori's power..., but only because he created them or just because they were his to begin with

Same with Tenten who uses normal shinobi weapons etc...

Also without the weapon, surely, you would have to measure any weapon specialist as being weaker, than when he has his weapon. What can Temari do without her fan? What can aburame clan do without their bugs (they too are labeled a tool), and of course TenTen =D and these are just a few examples. So either tot/yata are the only exception in measuring wielders own power, but it still has to measure the enemies power including their weapons, and skills with it

Not especially because as I said already. If weapon specialist posses normal weapons or is creator of these weapons himself, moreover weapon specialist has direct connection with weapon which would allows for example for weapon to be enhanced with chakra which could change properties of weapon, then Yes I agree that these weapons are extension of their power and they can't be meassured without them because weapons are part of them power.

For example:

Temari - She uses her fan and control with her barehands(has direct connection to it), better yet she could use her techniques with her fan and she could enhance her fan with wind chakra in direct combat...

Aburame clans - They use bugs as part of their power, because they cooperate with these bugs, giving themselves as bugs' home where they can live. Aburama clans have direct interaction with bugs, being able to control them and being able to influence these bugs chaning their properties If needed.

Ten Ten - She is weapon specialist, that why she can't be meassured without her weapons. All shurikens, swords and all other kinds of weapons she is able to summon and throw at enemy I could consider as part of her power.

However random shinobi with shuriken can't be meassured that shuriken is part of his power, because opponent can use his/her shuriken against that normal shinobi. In other words random Shinobi didn't summon or create these weapons, better he doesn't even control this weapon flying trajectory, just only throw it or protect himself/herself with it.

"So either tot/yata are the only exception in measuring wielders own power" - That exaclty my point, but this could more legendary weapons's case, If they existed... Now let's me explain why =D

Why Yata Mirror or Totsuka Blade(or any other legendary weapons. Sage of six paths treassured tools as well) can't be considered as part of wielder(Itachi) power:
  • Yata Mirror and Totsuka Blade aren't Itachi to begin with , nor they are connected to Uchiha clan or Itachi's heritage
  • Itachi didn't have direct contact with these sacred weapons, that why he can't summon these weapons whenever he wants. They can only be equipped with Sussano
  • Itachi can't change or set new properties ot these sacred weapons with inserting his chakra into them or modyfing them as Sasori could do with his weapons for example
  • These are legendary weapons which were found and equipped to Sussano, weren't part of Sussano to begin with
  • Yata Mirror and Totsuka blade could be used against Itachi because they are not his to begin with
  • Yata Mirror and Totsuka blade have constant abilities which can't be changed in any way
For me to consider weapons as part of wielder's power, they have to accomplish these rules:
  • Weapons have to be created or used by wielder with his direct contact and direct control where to attack and what
  • Wielder can alter, changes or set new attributes to weapons
  • Wielder can enhance his weapon with his chakra to change it properties
  • Weapon has to be part of their fighting style or his own abilities, not outside power as Yata and Totsuka
  • Legendary weapons which attributes can't be changed as well as can be handled by your own power doesn't use same logic of working as normal weapons
"but it still has to measure the enemies power including their weapons, and skills with it" - I agree with, but only at conditions listed by me above... =D

I hope you now get my point ;)

feel free to prove me being wrong. It was really nice and good debate

Why are you guys making a big deal of it?

Yata = Blocks any attack. (A guy here once made a thread showing with manga pic´s that the Yata Mirror can increase its size and provide all around protection)
Totsuka = Seals everything it hits.

Itachi saying that every technique has a weakness is true but Yata and Totsuka are legendary items, not technique´s.

These items dont have a weakness, just a limit =
Yata = Itachi cant maintain it forever because Susano´o is very chakra draining. And he lacks the EMS, he would get blind after a while.
Totsuka = Sealing anything it touches is only 50% of the job. The target first needs to be hit at all, people like Obito and Minato will be impossible to hit unless they are caught off guard. And people like Naruto, A or Gai in Gates will be very difficult to hit.

Because that is fun and the main reason why people are creating theory based on manga facts and backed up with logical reasons is high possibility of Kishi(himself) confirming, using it in his manga in future on new databook.

My theory still wasn't disproved completly so it still can work and be correct, that it

And what you said is that Kirin passed through Susano'o which is not in contact with Itachi's body and thus discharged into the ground completely
According to me, Itachi shielded himself using Yata Mirror to avoid a powerful jutsu like Kirin.

I answer to only bolded part of you post =D Sorry but no, you misunderstood what I tried to say.

What I tried to say I will try to explain below. I believe there are two cases possible:
  • #1th - Let's say Itachi protected himself with just Sussano, it doesn't matter which form. If this is true, then you argument "Itachi faced technique stronger then Itachi himself while wielding Yata Mirror" fall aparts, because that could mean Itachi didn't use Yata Mirror to protect himself against technique stronger then himself. In other words my Opponent > wielder, then Yata and Totsuka don't work on opponent logic still aplies here.
  • #2th - Let's say Itachi protected himself with Yata Mirror, it doesn't matter if it was in last moment or earlier.
If this is true, then Itachi was shown laying on ground after Kirin, which could only mean that Yata Mirror didn't protected him at all. Obviously there is possibilty that Yata Mirror protected Itachi somehow, but was shattered in result. However I believe Itachi's Sussano itself tanked Kirin and protected Itachi, there is even more reasons to believe that Yata Mirror didn't work If it was used at all:

    - Yata Mirror was said in Databook to change attributes of attack itself as well as Shield itself. It was said that Yata can turn back/repel or nulify any attack. If we go according with databook, then explosion of Kirin hitting ground couldn't occur because Yata could:

    A. nuliffy Kirin power, which couldn't cause any explosion at all

    B. repel/turn back Kirin, which could sent Kirin back into Sky, instead of hiting ground.
In short, This could be case Wielder(itachi) < Opponent(Kirin), where I said Yata Mirror or Totsuka Blade couldn't work at all, and you see from manga panels we could go to this conclusion that Yata Mirror didn't work, which further proves my theory being correct

Sorry but until now you didn't prove me wrong, I am waiting for next interesting arguments which could prove me being wrong =D

It is really nice and great debate  and I hope you get my point correctly this time =D

I'll stick to my point that Itachi shielded himself with Yata Mirror.

According to Databook, Yata mirror could reflect or at least nulify completly Kirin, but instead mountain was destroyed and in addition Itachi was found laying on ground and coughing blood.

Even If this was true somehow then that could only proves my theory being correct, because Kirin > Itachi's power of techniques which could lead to my point opponent > wielder being right, because Yata didn't work at all...
I'll be going with the bold part here. Yata Mirror reflect the incoming attack. What you said here below also proves to be wrong by the image I posted below

This comment B is what I will say a hyperbolic sentence.
Even here Yata Mirror reflected them:

The snakes were heading straight towards Itachi's Susano'o but the Mirror blocked them and led them to different directions. That means the Mirror reflected the attack back.
Similarly, Sasuke forced Kirin straight towards Itachi. Itachi at the last moment blocked it by the Mirror and the Kirin reflected on the mountain on which the battle was going on thus destroying the mountain. It's not that Itachi was still standing at his place during the impact, he must have pushed back while reflecting/deflecting the Kirin.

About Itachi laying on the ground you said.
Both the fighters were standing on top the mountain/battlefield. Only the difference was Sasuke was standing on top the long wall located on top of the mountain.
As Yata mirror deflected/reflected the Kirin on to the mountain, the mountain destroyed and they fall on the ground. The height of the ground from the roof was long enough for Itachi to land while having pain in his chest and the surrounding covered with rubble of rocks
If Itachi wasn't ill then he could have stood on the ground. But he was suffering at that moment and was lying on the ground. The blood was dripping out from his mouth. That can't be an effect because of Kirin

Also the other guy "thegame" was trying to explain that the Kirin got passed through Susano'o and was grounded.
Doesn't that proof everything shown in the manga wrong?
If what thegame explained is true, then the mountain must be stood still
Itachi must be standing on his feet and not lying on the ground.
But the manga shows completely different view
Now who's overlooking at the points.

Ok, Let's say that Itachi shilded himself with Yata Mirror, so you chose my second case =D

I'll be going with the bold part here. Yata Mirror reflect the incoming attack. What you said here below also proves to be wrong by the image I posted belowThis comment B is what I will say a hyperbolic sentence.

Sorry but I don't understand too well what you tried to say/prove. If you mean that Yata Mirror reflected the incoming attack(Kirin), then it is very high possibility that Yata Mirror didn't reflect Kirin, because;

#1th Entire Mountain shouldn't be destroyed
#2th There wasn't shown any lightining being reflected or flying back into sky, instead explosion which suggests that Yata Mirror didn't worked att, at least in my opinion

However I will read further

Even here Yata Mirror reflected them:
You must be registered for see images
The snakes were heading straight towards Itachi's Susano'o but the Mirror blocked them and led them to different directions. That means the Mirror reflected the attack back.

I completly agree with this part =D

Similarly, Sasuke forced Kirin straight towards Itachi. Itachi at the last moment blocked it by the Mirror and the Kirin reflected on the mountain on which the battle was going on thus destroying the mountain. It's not that Itachi was still standing at his place during the impact, he must have pushed back while reflecting/deflecting the Kirin.

Well, I disagree completly with this part, because:

#1th Even If Yata Mirror reflected Kirin, then Kirin would be shown flying back and destroy only top part of mountain instead of Entire mountain
#2th Itachi couldn't be affected by impact of Kirin/explosion because Yata Mirror is said to nulify/turn back any attack. In this case powerfull schockwave, wind could be came with Yata in contact so Yata could treat it as attack and nulify it or turn it back, so this is wrong statement imo.

About Itachi laying on the ground you said.
Both the fighters were standing on top the mountain/battlefield. Only the difference was Sasuke was standing on top the long wall located on top of the mountain.

Ok, You borught very good points here again. However I disagree from two reasons:

#1th As I said If Yata Mirror nulify or reflect Kirin, then Kirin would be shown flying back into sky and destroy only top part of Entire Mountain instead of destorying Entire mountain.
#2th Even If Itachi as ill and feel weak and while landing on ground from high height he could feel great pain and cough blood, I am sure that he could still keep Yata Mirror active after smoke clearing up and shown as Itachi got laid down on ground. Which could mean that Yata Mirror was shattered in reflecting/deflecting process...

Why I believe Itachi could keep his Yata Mirror active even with Full skeleton form of Sussano:
You must be registered for see images
^^ Here we see Itachi getting heart attack or pain from illness... and Itachi fall on his knees

You must be registered for see images
^^ Here Itachi's Sussano descend to lower form and seems like dissolving...

You must be registered for see images
^^ However Here Itachi was still shown with his Yata Mirror being active although all pain he expieriences at the moment.

That why I can't agree with you Itachi using Yata Mirror , because no matter how you look at it, you didn't disprove my main point until now. =D

Reasons:
  • #1th - Let's say Itachi protected himself with just Sussano, it doesn't matter which form. If this is true, then you argument "Itachi faced technique stronger then Itachi himself while wielding Yata Mirror" fall aparts, because that could mean Itachi didn't use Yata Mirror to protect himself against technique stronger then himself. In other words my Opponent > wielder, then Yata and Totsuka don't work on opponent logic still aplies here.

If this is true, then Itachi was shown laying on ground after Kirin, which could only mean that Yata Mirror didn't protected him at all. Obviously there is possibilty that Yata Mirror protected Itachi somehow, but was shattered in result. However i agree that healthy Itachi could land on ground on his feet, instead of laying down on ground.

Sorry if I sounded harsh or selfish but I am still supporting my theory, until all my reasons will be countered...

Also the other guy "thegame" was trying to explain that the Kirin got passed through Susano'o and was grounded.

Well, that's true. It looks like I overlooked these points so sorry I admit your right here =D

I'm done with this thread bro.
You're still not accepting your "facts" are wrong at some limit which you made on the basis of a prediction.
The main fact which you are still holding tight.....
This is your conclusion of the theory
Yata Mirror and Sword of The Totsuka are really invincible weapons which keep Databook and manga's scans true
Yata Mirror and Sword of The Totsuka level of durability, effectivnes is direct proportinal to Strength/power of user.
Yata Mirror and Sworld of The Totsuka works properly on enemy until user of these sacred weapons > enemy or at least gap between them is not that big in favour of enemy of course
When Strength/power of enemy surprass user of these sacred weapons's strength/power, then enemy can fight back against these weapons. Fighting to be not pulled back by Sword of The Totsuka and make damage to Yata mirror
When Strength/power of enemy <= user of sacred weapons, then Enemy is powerless and can't stop or damage sacred weapons.
Rinnengan[/B]
Sage of six paths wielding Sword of The Totsuka and Yata Mirror could handle of Narutoverse except Juubi, but then why Itachi can't ?, because Sage of six paths >>> Itachi.
Apart from the first point everything you put into the conclusion is solely based on the theoretical prediction you predicted which is not proved to be right by you with a strong proof based on the manga scans or the databook
A theory made must be backed up by a proof from the manga itself and not based on any prediction bro.
Most of the proofs provided by me are backed up by a manga page.
But to prove me wrong, you are depending on the prediction you made. That is
KCMNaruto said:
Yes, you are basically right except main point you skipped: Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror work on opponent if wielder>=opponent. If Opponent > wielder then opponent can break through Yata and fight back against Totsuka...
You don't have a strong valid manga proof for this quote even if you've defended some points but those were not related to above quote.
I want you to read the theoretical prediction you made once again. SO that you'll understand that till this time you were proving me wrong on the basis of your prediction without providing a single proof that proves Totsuka sword and Yata Mirror has any weakness.

This doesn't mean I'm giving up on this thread but I just learned what was written in your signature
"You can't never give up, before you try"
"Instead of insulting someone, focus on defending your opinion with proofs"
"Never doubt in yourself, one doubt can be your last "
I'm not forcing you to give up on what you predicted/said etc but do prove me wrong with a valid proof from manga point of view and not from prediction point of view.
And as I said before, this debate stays in this thread only =D
Do make theories, but backing up with a manga proof and not prediction.

Okay, so explosive tags are the same I assume, since any shinobi can use it, and it's not part of special attributes.. What about the way Hanzo destroyed Nagato's legs? Or the way Konan "beat" Obito? Not part of their power? I know they made preparations to do it, yet it was combined with their jutsu.

My point is, that even if any shinobi can use it, say a random shinobi with shurinken, you wont measure that as part of his power, but fact is, if he didn't have the shurinken, he would be weaker than if he had it!

Then comes examples like Kisame, who used shamehada, and even fused with it, but we clearly saw in the manga, that he took it from the big one (fugasaka or something like that =D).
So that ins't part of his power?

"So either tot/yata are the only exception in measuring wielders own power" - That exaclty my point, but this could more legendary weapons's case, If they existed... Now let's me explain why =D

Why Yata Mirror or Totsuka Blade(or any other legendary weapons. Sage of six paths treassured tools as well) can't be considered as part of wielder(Itachi) power:

[*] Yata Mirror and Totsuka Blade aren't Itachi to begin with , nor they are connected to Uchiha clan or Itachi's heritage
My example with Kisame still holds. Shamehada wasn't his to begin with, but he still found a way to combine it with his jutsu in a manner, that made him so much more powerful, it has to be counted as part of his power! Itachi did the same, by combining tot/yata with Susanoo!
[*] Itachi didn't have direct contact with these sacred weapons, that why he can't summon these weapons whenever he wants. They can only be equipped with Sussano
This must just be an assumption? We really don't know enough about them, and in which manner, they are connected to his Susanoo, however, Japanese myth does indeed connect them to Susanoo! Susanoo used the sword of totsuka to slay some kind of 8 headed dragon, similar to when he killed Orochimaru. So the analogy is fairly clear in my eyes.
[*] Itachi can't change or set new properties ot these sacred weapons with inserting his chakra into them or modyfing them as Sasori could do with his weapons for example
Well this argument is hard to prove/disprove, but there is really no proof, whether he can or can't!
[*] These are legendary weapons which were found and equipped to Sussano, weren't part of Sussano to begin with
Yeah probably, but this should not matter in my eyes, because the fact that they can be combined with Susanoo, and their size are made to fit Susanoo, along with the Jap myths and legends, I would not be suprised, if they were made for Susanoo!
[*] Yata Mirror and Totsuka blade could be used against Itachi because they are not his to begin with
I don't understand this argument? If Kankurou takes control of one of Sasori's puppets (despite modifying it), he could still use it against Sasori. The only difference is, that the creator would know the abilities of the weapons, but I can't see, how that should be relevant for this debate.
[*] Yata Mirror and Totsuka blade have constant abilities which can't be changed in any way
This as well, we don't know, because so far, we have only seen one person using them. If Sasuke obtains them, we might get to see more, but I doubt Itachi gave them to him. They are too dangerous for that.

For me to consider weapons as part of wielder's power, they have to accomplish these rules:
[*] Weapons have to be created or used by wielder with his direct contact and direct control where to attack and what
I really dislike the first argument, because in my eyes, tot/yata are completely in direct control with Itachi, just through a different medium (susanoo), which is still controlled by Itachi. Also that they must be created with user, is kinda lame, as I stated much above. But of course the weapons need to function according the users will! That is indeed a major factor, and I agree on that. That is also why I said, I don't think Yata mirror will stop attacks, that Itachi can't see, or is unaware of.
[*] Wielder can alter, changes or set new attributes to weapons
[*] Wielder can enhance his weapon with his chakra to change it properties
I agree, if we can compliment it to more than chakra. Shinobi is not only chakra. Stamina, strength, tactics, etc. are also extremely important, when measuring ones power. Thus the way you use the weapon, can also be tactical. Like shurinken or explosive tags. Take Samurai for instance, clearly a Samurai is worthless without his sword, but with his sword, a guy like Mifune can match most top 20 - top 10 shinobi, if they fight close combat, since they wont be able to use hand seals.
[*] Weapon has to be part of their fighting style or his own abilities, not outside power as Yata and Totsuka
I disagree, that it's an outside power, because Itachi did indeed combine it with Susanoo? So I don't understand your point =D
[*] Legendary weapons which attributes can't be changed as well as can be handled by your own power doesn't use same logic of working as normal weapons
Well, we don't know this either. Surely they have some special effects given by them by so6p, cause he could create anything, and he probably created them for some special purpose.. If Sasuke got tot, it's clear that Madara is gonna be sealed by it. Then your theory is disproved =D but I doubt he got it :/
"but it still has to measure the enemies power including their weapons, and skills with it" - I agree with, but only at conditions listed by me above... =D

I hope you now get my point ;)

feel free to prove me being wrong. It was really nice and good debate
Got some of the points, some a bit unclear =D yet I think you are forgetting other important features, which measures shinobi strength, especially tactics. Weapons are important for tactics, and the better you are at using them, even if it's simple weapons, we have seen shikamaru using simply kunais to determine many fights, if he didn't have them, his overall strength had also been lowered (he probably had found another way, but the point is still valid =D).

btw, quoting those list like I did is rather problematic xD

There's not a single proof that Susano'o allows electricity to pass through them and can help discharging the electricity.
Uhm, anything, will allow electricity of so many volts to pass through it! Of course the degree to when the electricity "stops" depends on the material, however, this we can't really predict. But lightning easily pass through entire trees, which are quite bad conductors...
Sasuke focussed the Kirin on Itachi and not on Susano'o. Itachi used Susano'o to protect himself from Kirin. But I know Yata Mirror protected him from the lightning.
So what? I already explained this, it's just a stupid argument. If you aim a rifle at someone behind a thick wall, will you hit him? No. Susanoo was conected to the ground, but not to Itachi, so it discharge all the current to the ground, and not to Itachi, it doesn't matter, who Sasuke aimed at, if someone placed an obstacle in front of his aim, he would hit the obstacle instead. That is what Itachi did.
And you can't know, since Manga shows Susanoo protecting him from Kirin, not Yata mirror. It's a stupid debate :|

What you said in the quoted part is utterly senseless. Just wait, KCMNaruto will prove you wrong on this.
According to him, Itachi got laid on the ground because of Kirin.
Yes, because Kirin was discharged into the ground through Susanoo. It is a sick powerful technique, so it would still create a huge pressure wave in the ground, just like a lightning does, when it hits the ground. This would be enough to make him lose balance.
And what you said is that Kirin passed through Susano'o which is not in contact with Itachi's body and thus discharged into the ground completely
According to me, Itachi shielded himself using Yata Mirror to avoid a powerful jutsu like Kirin.
Yeah, but manga proof is on my side, as well as normal science. I have taken a lot of physics classes in electromagnetism, and am studying a scientific area, so I am pretty sure in my case. If you don't trust me, you can always google it. I am sure, you will come to better senses then, though some of it, may be hard to understand at first sight =D

Nope, I never said anything, about what happens, when so much current is discharged into the ground. Kinda thought that was obvious from the manga xD well it is. Exactly what happened in the manga is just in favor for my theory, since it proves the lightning actually hit the ground, and not Yata mirror. And since Itachi was unharmed, it had to go through Susanoo and into the ground.

Ok, I got it. However then please explain me If Itachi was kept being pulled into Chibaku Tensei, then he has to finally came in contact with this black sphere in center which is pulling everything. If Itachi know that he would come in contact with Chibaku Tensei then Why didn't he used Yata Mirror to protect himself along with Killer Bee and Naruto against Chibaku Tensei instead took risk of failing if His, Killer bee and Naruto most powerfull techniques didn't destroy black sphere then Itachi, Nagato and Killer Bee would be doomed...

Why could he take a risk If he has Yata Mirror which could nulify(according to Databook) Chibaku Tensei when he would be pulled to center and come in contact with it. Yata Mirror should nulify Chibaku Tensei so Itachi, Naruto and Killer bee would be safe why didn't he use Yata Mirror ?, please answer me...

Itachi in co. would have never touched the black sphere center because it was already covered with rocks by then.

Also you seem to be misunderstanding a very important point. The yata mirror is the ultimate defense and does not attack in any way. If Itachi were to have used the mirror to protect him and co., then the would've just been protected by the rocks they would've encountered when pulled in. But they also would've never been able to end CT because they would still need to eventually attack the center to end it. The yata mirror can't do that. So instead of just endlessly defending against CT, Itachi decided it would have been better to try and attack the center with all of their force in order to try and destroy and end CT.
