Well to be honest it's a bit split as guns aren't really to blame it's the people firing them that are the ones who are to blame but yeah I think it'd be safer without guns.

hmmm well this isnt true... there will always be 'bad' people in the world.. these people will use watever skills they have... if its not a gun, its a knife, if its not a knife then its a blunt objet and so on ... yes it is bad to generalise everyone for doings of only a few people .. i suppose if anything then its like wat sabuto said.. without guns people will have more of a chance to protect themselves... i for one would rather protect myself from a knife where i know i have a good chance then a gun that can take me out from a distance...

The purpose of guns is so people can protect themselves and everyone else who's lives are at risk and reducing it as much as possible won't keep everyone safe. If anything your only crippling everyone's rights to completely defend themselves.This new law will only Enhance the criminals capabilities at committing murder. You either solve the problem completely or you don't. There are no inbetweens such as maybe.

I'd disagree, I think that using a gun makes it easier to kill people. It's incredible detached when you compare it to knifing someone or strangulation.

The thing is the majority of people are shits. If you break down most peoples' emotions and actions, eventually you will reach a selfish motive. You shouldn't be so trusting in humanity, you'll only be disappointed. Anyways, even without guns, people will still hurt each other simply because it's in our nature (to varying degrees). Although I think the amount of deaths would go down, simply because of how easy it is to kill with a gun (physically and psychologically).
