Scenario 1: I’m facing a single opponent, once more with a river running along my right side and his left. We’re only several feet away from each other, so definitely short range. I charge toward my opponent, gathering chakra into my hands and preparing to use water from the river. Using my chakra, I summon an amount of water and start to pressurize it. I also add a spinning motion, and the water becomes a drill. I send it toward my opponent quickly, which doesn’t hit him but distracts him.
Then, I use my chakra to soften the dirt beneath me and create sand. I begin to dig underground and move my way to the ground underneath my opponent.
Finally, I come up from under my opponent, grabbing him with my arms. I pull him down and force him into the ground as I pop up to the surface. My opponent is now underground, save for his head.

Suiton: Suigandan- Water Release: Water Fang Bullet

Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Offense
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A technique that deals physical damage to the enemy with a liquid mass brought forth from underwater. Its power to kill and maim is augmented by adding a spinning motion to the compactly pressured water. It’s a quick jutsu and is performed quick. Right when the user summons it, they can go onto the next technique, making it great for combos.

Note: Requires a water source.

Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu- Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can’t reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth. While inside the earth, the user cannot make handseals and can only use Earth techniques below C-Rank. If he tries to do a higher ranked technique, he'll disrupt the Hiding like a mole technique and be left crushed. Very useful though simple, it can win you the match if you use it well. You channel you earth chakra underneath you then you loosen the soil which allow you to burrow and move through it.

Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu- Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the
opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can
easily be decapitated or tortured.

Note: user must already be underground through the use of (Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique.

Scenario 2: I have an opponent who’s standing at mid-range away from me. He runs toward me, and as he does, I channel chakra into my hands and perform the Dragon and Tiger handseals. I gather water from out of the air surrounding me, and it comes together and forms a dragon. I send the water dragon toward my opponent, and the dragon makes contact.
Once I’ve released that technique, I channel chakra into my feet, making the ground beneath me fine like sand. I disappear underground and go to where my opponent is standing. I position myself right underneath him.
Then, I emerge from right under my opponent, taking him into my arms. I pull him down, replacing my position in the ground for his. I stand on the surface as he is trapped in the ground, his entire body covered except for his head.

Suiton: Suishu Gorugon- Water Release: Powerful Blasting Rain Trench

Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user after performing Dragon → Tiger will summon a large amount of water that will then be used to strike at the opponent in several versatile ways. It has been known to transform it into a dragon with a gaping mouth to attack. The water used will be stationary till it is sent offensively toward the opponent.

Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu- Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A

Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu- Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the
opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can
easily be decapitated or tortured.

Note: user must already be underground through the use of (Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique.

Pros:- This jutsu is good for a sneak attack because an opponent wouldn’t expect the user to come up from underground.
- This jutsu immobilizes an opponent, giving the user total control of the battle, because this jutsu traps the opponent’s body underground except for his/her head.
- This jutsu requires no handseals, so it would be very quick and easy to perform.

Cons:- This jutsu cannot be used unless the user is already underground because of the Hiding Like a Mole Technique.
- This jutsu is only short-ranged, meaning that it won’t affect an opponent that’s mid or long-ranged because the jutsu cannot reach that far.
- This jutsu cannot be used in earth that’s already been disturbed in ways such as being broken apart or cracked. The opponent would be able to see the user before the user has attacked because the broken earth exposes them.

Counter: I would start by not allowing the user to perform the Hiding Like a Mole Technique. If I could stop them before they even go underground, then I would prevent the use of the Double Suicide Decapitation Technique and not be trapped.

Question(s): None.

What if you got caught and trapped up to your neck, what will you do in that helpless situation? Surrender? Spit till you dry up? Or curse you opponent before he beheads you.

*furrows eyebrow* Well... perhaps I could use Moguragakure no Jutsu once again to make my escape? If I could channel my chakra through my body and have the earth around me turn into sand?

Nice nice, but you are prone to your opponent's attack as he can see quite right that you escaped underground. You can create a d-rank pillar of earth you rise you from within the ground. Or using lightning to free yourself creating a crater and attacking the opponent at the same time.

(Doton: Gansetsukon) - Earth Release:
Rock Section Cane
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Offense
Range: Short (Mid on throw)
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into
the shape of a staff. The user can then use it
as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint
accuracy at their opponent. A variation of
this technique allows the user to create
several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

Ahh, indeed. I didn’t think about that. *laughs nervously* I see. I should’ve thought of the lightning. That could’ve gotten me out right away!

Alright, sensei.

Scenario 1: I’m faced with three opponents, all at long range from me. They begin to run towards me. I pick up a small handful of rocks, channel my chakra into them and molding my earth chakra. The rocks then morph and take the shape of staffs. There end up being five staffs in total. By now, my enemies have reached mid range. I launch the staffs towards them, and only one of them is struck down by two staffs to the chest.
Then, I’m left with two more enemies. I now channel chakra to my mouth and mold it into water chakra. Once enough water has gathered there, I compress it and spit it rapidly at one of the enemies. The powerful shot sends him back and knocks the wind out of him.
I face my final enemy, who has made it to a short-ranged distance from me. We engage in close combat, exchanging punches and kicks. My strikes become faster and stronger, gaining enough power to lift my opponent into the air. I channel my chakra to my right hand and change it into water chakra. I swing my arm as hard as I can, creating a blade of water. The water makes contact with my enemy, and he flies straight down and crashes into the ground.

Doton: Gansetsukon- Earth Release: Rock Section Cane

Rank: D

Range: Short (Mid on throw)

Suiton: Taihoudan- Water Release: Water Gun

Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Descripton: A strong water wave spit from the mouth that is more compressed than Chaos Water Wave and can carve the earth if used on the same area multiply times.

Suiton: Mizu Yashiken no Jutsu- Water Release: Water Palm Blade Technique

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will first strike their target with couple of punches and kicks them lifting the target into the air and the user will then concentrate their chakra into their palm and then swinging their arm in a arc they release chakra creating a cresent blade of water that strike the target.

Scenario 2: I’m fighting an opponent who’s at mid range from me. I decide to attack first, picking up a single rock from near my feet and moving my chakra into it. I mold my chakra into earth chakra, and the rock begins to take the shape of a staff. With great strength, I throw the staff toward my enemy, who dodges it and begins to run towards me.
As he’s taking the time to close the distance between us, I weave a few handseals, Boar – Dog – Ram, very quickly. A strong, swirling amount of water forms in the palm of my left hand. The vortex of water blasts toward my opponent and creates a wall of water. He’s taken off of his feet and lands hard on the ground.
Once my enemy is down, I gather my chakra and mold it into water chakra. I expel a great amount of water out of my mouth. The water sloshes around my opponent while he’s still down. I weave a pretty long list of handseals, Snake – Ram – Horse – Hare – Ram – Horse – Hare, and force my palms in front of myself. The water comes together, gets weighed down in density, and surrounds my enemy. One of my arms is inside my newly-created orb, and I keep my opponent trapped in the water until he runs out of air.

Doton: Gansetsukon- Earth Release: Rock Section Cane

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Offense

Suiton: Hahonryuu- Water Release: Destruction Torrent

Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After waving the Boar ? Dog ? Ram hand seals, a water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.

Note: No water source required

Suiton: Suirou no Jutsu- Water Release: Water Prison

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water by waving the Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Hands spread in front palms out. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

Pros:- This jutsu is very flexible to use because you can either create a staff for melee, create a staff to throw, or create multiple staffs to throw.
- Because either one or multiple staffs can be created, this jutsu is short to mid-ranged, making it very good to attack an opponent who’s in close or further combat.
- This jutsu requires no handseals, making it a very quick jutsu to perform.

Cons:- If the user chooses to send multiple staffs toward their opponent, then they risk the staffs being inaccurate, and they could miss the opponent.
- This jutsu is only short to mid-ranged, so an opponent who’s at long range from the user won’t be affected by this jutsu.
- A lightning technique (such as Chidori) could easily break any number of staffs because earth is weak against lightning.

Counter: I’d try and force the user to throw multiple staffs, since they can be less accurate. I would create any type of clone so that the user uses multiple staffs and misses their chance of really utilizing the jutsu.

*blushes a little and laughs* Thanks, sensei.

Yes, sir!

Scenario 1: I’m long-ranged from an opponent, and we’re at the edge of a pretty sizable lake. I begin by weaving the Tiger handseal and summon an amount of water from the lake. The water forms an identical copy of me, and right as it takes shape, we sprint toward the opponent.
As my clone and I approach mid-range, I use my chakra—specifically my water chakra—to change my clone back into water. I then create four, sharp projectiles and shoot them at my opponent. He dodges those, so I decide to try hitting him again.
I focus building chakra into my right arm, this time as earth chakra. I release my chakra quickly, making the ground before me break up and bring up several rocks. They start to circle me rapidly and, one at a time, I fling them toward my opponent. He gets hit with a few.

Mizu Bunshin- Water Clone

Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Supplementary
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a clone of themselves made of water. These water clones have 1/10th of the users chakra. These clones are also limited in that they can only travel short range from the user without losing control. When a water clone take enough damage they revert back to normal water.

Note: Can only perform up to C rank Water techniques and requires a water source.

Suiton: Mizu Tsurudan- Water Release: Water Tendril Bullets

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate one of their water clones to dissolve back to water and turn into four pointed projectiles that shoot at the target.

Note: Must create a water clone before hand.

Doton: Iwa Rendan- Earth Release: Rock Barrage

Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will concentrate their chakra into their arm and then release their chakra, creating a ring of rocks that are then flung at the opponent.

Scenario 2: I’m in the clearing of a forest with an opponent. We’re at mid range away from each other. Before he even knows it, I’m gathering my chakra and changing it into water chakra. I create a pool of water in the ground beneath my opponent’s feet. When I release my chakra, the water forcefully pushes my opponent up into the air.
Once the water disperses, and my opponent is in midair, I collect chakra in my left hand, and I make it earth chakra. Then, I release my chakra to bring up several chunks of earth from in front of me. They create a ring around me, and I launch the chunks at my opponent. He gets struck by all of them.
Finally, to finish him off, I weave the handseals Dragon – Tiger – Rabbit, and I let chakra flood my mouth. I mold it into water chakra, and I shoot a jet of water at my opponent while he’s falling. The impact is so great that it sends him slamming into the ground.

Suiton: Mizu Hashira Suiryoku no Jutsu- Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then they create water to rise up from the ground beneath the target lifting them into the air.

Doton: Iwa Rendan- Earth Release: Rock Barrage

Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will concentrate their chakra into their arm and then release their chakra, creating a ring of rocks that are then flung at the opponent.

Suiton: Mizurappa- Water Release: Water Horn

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After waving the Dragon → Tiger → Rabbit hand seals, the user creates a big jet of water that is launched from their mouth. This technique works exceptionally well with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to help it become like cement.

Pros:- This jutsu requires no handseals, making it very easy and quick to perform.
- This jutsu is short to mid-ranged, so it can be useful to get the upper hand in closer combat than long-ranged combat.
- If an opponent uses a water jutsu of the same rank, this jutsu would prevail because earth naturally contains water and would absorb it.

Cons:- This jutsu is only short to mid-ranged, so an opponent who is outside of the jutu’s reach won’t be affected by it.
- If an opponent uses a lightning jutsu of the same rank, this jutsu would be disrupted because lightning cuts through earth.
- While this jutsu creates a ring of rocks around the user, the ring cannot be used defensively probably because the jutsu is only D-rank and couldn’t take a very big hit.

Counter: Well, if I had a strong enough shield, I feel like I could defend myself from this technique. But, if I didn’t, I would resort to moving out of range of this jutsu or besting it with a lightning technique.

Question(s): I’m wondering if my scenarios can kind of tie together. In this case, my second scenario could have been a continuation of my first, since I didn’t exactly finish my enemy off. Could I do that?

Picture: Sorry, not this time. *frowns*

Okay. Good to know!

Yes, sensei!

Scenario 1: I’m engaged in battle with one opponent, and we begin in close combat. I control my chakra and focus it into my mouth, allowing it to pool there. I mold my chakra into water chakra, and sure enough, my mouth fills with water. I put one hand over my mouth and spit the water out very rapidly. The water takes the shape of a whip. I take the whip in my hand and attack my opponent, pushing them a long ways away from me.
Then, I perform the handseals Ram and Tiger, once more channeling water chakra into my mouth. This time, I also focus chakra into my feet. I make the water in my mouth very sticky before I shoot it at the ground beneath my opponent’s feet and the ground around him. The amount of water covers a vast amount of our battlefield but, while my opponent is stuck, I’m not.
I finally gather earth chakra into my hands and the earth around my opponent. I perform the Rat handseal, and several pieces of rock come up from the ground near my opponent. I concentrate on using my earth chakra to bring the pieces of rock together into two, huge sections of rock. With my opponent unable to move, I close the sections of rock around him, crushing him.

Suiton: Nagareru no Muchi- Water Release: Flowing Whip

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user first kneads chakra in their mouth and then, placing their hand on their mouth expels water in the form of a whip which they use to lash their opponent, sending them flying backwards.

Suiton: Mizuame Nababara- Water Style: Starch Syrup Capture Field

Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channeling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

Doton: Ganban Kyu- Earth Release: Bedrock Coffin

Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Mid/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the Rat hand seal, the user to control multiple sections of rock and move them around their opponent. The user then forms two gigantic sections that crush the opponent.

Scenario 2: I’m at a long distance away from a single opponent. As my opponent starts to charge at me, I gather a great amount of chakra and mold it into water chakra. It exudes from my hands before I clap them together, summoning a spiraling vortex of water. It circles me at great speeds. Then, controlling my chakra, I turn the vortex into a wave that heads toward my opponent. He’s greatly affected by the jutsu, as is the terrain around us.
Since he’s closed the distance between us quite a bit, I weave the handseals Boar, Dog, Horse, and Tiger to gather a large amount of water from the water I’ve deposited in front of me. The water becomes a spiraling stream of water that I use my chakra to direct at my opponent. He’s struck by the jutsu.
To finish him, I gather my chakra, this time molding it into earth chakra. I perform the Rat handseal and gather several pieces of rock from the earth around my opponent. The pieces encircle him until I use my chakra to bring them together into two, large sections of rock. I close the sections onto my opponent, ending him and the battle.

Suiton: Suishoha- Water Release: Water Shock Wave

Rank: C-B-Rank
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 15-20
Damage Points: 30-40
Description: This technique allows the user after clapping their hands together to make a spiraling vortex of water to form around them out of nowhere in a vortex like manner. The vortex then proceeds to cascade into a wave of water that rampages towards the intended target or all around. The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank

Suiton: Suishi no Jutsu- Water Release: Water Drowning Technique

Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After waving the Boar → Dog → Horse → Tiger hand seals, the user will gather a large amount of water to form a large spiraling stream of water. It can be guided to strike a target in a number of angles.

Note: Requires a nearby water source.

Doton: Ganban Kyu- Earth Release: Bedrock Coffin

Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Mid/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the Rat hand seal, the user to control multiple sections of rock and move them around their opponent. The user then forms two gigantic sections that crush the opponent.

Pros:- This jutsu is mid to long-ranged, making it very useful for distance combat.
- This jutsu only requires one handseal, so it becomes very easy and quick to perform.
- This jutsu makes for an effective finishing technique because once the two sections are brought down on the opponent, they would have a hard time not taking damage from the sections.

Cons:- This jutsu cannot be used in close combat because it isn’t intended for short-ranged fighting.
- This jutsu can be stopped while it’s still in the beginning stages because the sections of rock moving around the opponent could be very easy to hit with a different technique before the pieces come together.
- An opponent could use a same or higher-ranked lightning technique to crumble the two sections of rock before he is crushed.

Counter: I would definitely use a lightning jutsu to break up the rock before the user has a chance to crush me with the sections.

Good!

(Doton: Ganchūsō) - Earth Release: Stone
Spikes
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude
from the ground to skew the target. The
rock pillars will even pass through obstacles
to reach their target if these are less dense.
The pillars/spikes can be done in any earthen
surface, including other earth techniques of the user.
This one is simple. Channel your earth chakra underneath your opponent and manipulate the earth beneath him so that they protrude upward in form of spikes to impale them.

*smiles brightly* Thank you, sensei!

Alright!

Scenario 1: I’m engaged in battle with an opponent at short range away from me. He throws a trio of kunai at me, to which I quickly gather my chakra (specifically my water chakra) and thrust my left arm in front of me. Water is released from my arm, and I mold my chakra to create a shield out of the water. I use it to deflect the kunai.
With my water chakra still flowing, I weave the Tiger handseal and focus my chakra into the ground. A torrent of water rips through the earth in between myself and my opponent, pushing him back to mid range.
While my opponent is knocked over, I channel my chakra and turn it into earth chakra. I concentrate my earth chakra into the ground beneath my opponent. I create sharp spikes that rise from the ground in a fast and powerful way. The spikes impale my opponent and lift his body a few feet off of the ground.

Description: This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to skew the target. The rock pillars will even pass through obstacles to reach their target if these are less dense. The pillars/spikes can be done in any earthen surface, including other earth techniques of the user.

Scenario 2: I’m at long range from my opponent, so I’m given enough time to gather my chakra and mold it into water chakra. I weave the handseals Monkey, Rat, Tiger, Dragon, Horse, and Dragon. I create a spinning pillar of water that eventually takes the shape of a snake. I send the snake forward as a projectile so that I can close the distance between us. My opponent is now in close combat range.
While he is preoccupied with avoiding my last technique, I unsheathe my sword. Collecting my water chakra once more, I jump up and land on the ground, stabbing my sword into the earth. My chakra flows into the ground, and this causes water to shoot up around my opponent. It then pools underneath him and becomes a pillar of water that raises him into the air.
With no chance of avoiding my next technique, my opponent is defenseless in the air. I mold my chakra into earth chakra and let it flow into the ground that’s beneath my opponent. I make rock pillars that come up from the earth and form into spikes. As my opponent falls from the air, he comes down right on top of the spikes.

Suiton: Ja No Kuchi- Water Release: Water Snakes Mouth

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Monkey → Rat → Tiger → Dragon → Horse → Dragon it then allows the user to generate a spinning column of water which will take the form of a snake with a gaping jaw. This snake can twist and follow its targets and swallow them. After it has swallowed them, it turns into a river that carries the enemy away.

Suiton: Suishinshu- Water Release: Water Quaking Pillar

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user jumps into the air and then stabs his sword into the ground, where he causes water to burst up around him and creating a pillar of water to rise up in the air repelling the enemy.

Doton: Ganchūsō- Earth Release: Stone Spikes

Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to skew the target. The rock pillars will even pass through obstacles to reach their target if these are less dense. The pillars/spikes can be done in any earthen surface, including other earth techniques of the user.

Pros:- This jutsu doesn’t need any handseals to be performed, so it would be a very fast and easy jutsu to use.
- The spikes can be created from any earthen surface, even one that the user is already using, making the jutsu very flexible to use.
- If there are obstacles that are lighter in density than the spikes, the spikes will go through them, which can make this jutsu useful against an opponent.

Cons:- This jutsu is only short to mid-ranged, so an opponent who is at long range away from the user won’t be affected by the jutsu.
- If an opponent uses any technique to crush or stop the pillars in any way, then the spikes cannot be created, meaning that the jutsu is stopped.
- If a same or higher-ranked lightning technique is used against this jutsu, then it would be broken apart because lightning cuts through earth.

Counter: I would definitely go with a lightning technique with this jutsu. It could help me destroy the spikes before I’m injured by them.

Question(s): No, sir!

Picture: Sorry, not for this one.

what kind of lightning tech and how will you use it to counter. Please always be specific as some lightning tech won't be suitable. I would want to know if you won't do a mistake using the wrong thing to counter.

I see. I've mainly been saying lightning techniques just because they're stronger than earth ones, but do my counters have to be jutsus I've learned? Because I've yet to learn Raiton. If so, from now on, I'll only use jutsus I've learned as counters.

If not, Chidori or Raikiri would probably be the fastest lightning techniques to use to break the earth spikes before I'm skewered or impaled, especially if I'm in the air before landing on the spikes.

Yea, actually, its jutsus you have learned so definitly you can't use lightning to defend since you have learned them.

So how would you defend with what you have learned. Now I will know how creative you are..

Okay. I'm sorry I didn't ask for clarification earlier in our training! I'll only use jutsus I've learned as counters from now on.

Yes, you will. *sweatdrops* Let's see. I can only hope to break the spikes or try and avoid them. I would probably use this technique to avoid the spikes.

Thanks, sensei! Really appreciate it.

Will do!

Scenario 1: I’m mid-ranged from an opponent, and a river runs to my right and his left. He starts by throwing kunai with explosive tags on them, and they ignite. I quickly weave the handseals Tiger, Dog, Monkey, Snake, Boar and Tiger. Gathering my chakra and molding it into water chakra, I summon an amount of water from the ground in front of me. I rapidly move my chakra so that the water surrounds me in a protective barrier. The kunai get trapped in the chakra-laced water and explode on impact. The water around me disperses because of the explosions.
I then gather my chakra and mold it into earth chakra. I focus on the ground in front of me and leading up to my opponent. He’s at short range now as I release my earth chakra through my feet and into the ground. The earth before me and underneath my opponent begins to shake slightly, but it’s enough to throw him off-guard.
I take this opportunity to channel my water chakra once more and weave the handseals Boar, Dog, Horse and Tiger. From the river, I collect a large amount of water and start to add my chakra to it, making it spin. I send this spiraling stream of water at my opponent from over his head. The stream sends him into the ground with great impact.

Suiton: Seibun Hofutsu- Water Release: Water Heavens Convergence

Rank: C
Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the required hand signs Tiger → Dog → Monkey → Snake → Boar → Tiger the user makes water rise from the ground and they can use this water in various ways. They can create a body of water for a water summoning to be encased in and allow them to move around where normally no water exists, or create a body of water to block incoming attacks or surround his target and then drown them.

Doton: Yochi no Douyou- Earth Release: World Shaking

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will concentrate and release their chakra into the ground to create a small tremor that can result in making the enemies lose their footing and fall to ground or miss the aim of a given technique.

Scenario 2: I’m at short range distance from my opponent. I begin by collecting my chakra and creating water chakra. I then weave the handseals Boar, Dog and Ram, forming a ball of water in my hand. As I increase my chakra flow, the ball of water spins and spirals into a vortex. I thrust my hand forward, creating a wall of water with the water in my hand and blasting my opponent back to mid-range.
As my opponent tries to regain his footing, I gather my chakra and, this time, I mold earth chakra. I concentrate on the earth in front of me and the earth surrounding my opponent. I channel my chakra out through my feet and into the ground. The ground then begins to shake underneath my opponent, throwing him off even more.
While he’s preoccupied with this, I close the distance between us while gathering a huge amount of chakra and changing it to water chakra. I weave the Tiger handseal and allow my chakra to fill my mouth with water. At a very fast pace and with a lot of power, I spit out a single sphere of circulating water at my opponent. How close I am to him and how much power I’ve given the jutsu finishes my opponent, sending him flying back.

Suiton: Hahonryuu - Water Release: Destruction Torrent

Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After waving the Boar ? Dog ? Ram hand seals, a water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.

Note: No water source required

Doton: Yochi no Douyou- Earth Release: World Shaking

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will concentrate and release their chakra into the ground to create a small tremor that can result in making the enemies lose their footing and fall to ground or miss the aim of a given technique.

Suiton: Teppoudama - Water Release: Gunshot

Rank: B/A-Rank
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20/30
Damage Points: 40/60
Description: The user will do the Tiger handseal and will gather water in his mouth and then spits out either a single very large sphere of rotating water that can blast a huge area leaving it soaked or a series of up to 5 smaller yet faster bullets. The power of the technique depends on how much chakra the user inputs into it.

Pros:- This jutsu can be used to make enemies lose their footing because the earth beneath them becomes unstable, and this is useful in throwing an enemy off.
- This jutsu can be used to throw enemies off of their aim because the earth beneath them becomes unstable, and this is useful if the user wants to stop an enemy’s combination.
- This jutsu is short to mid-ranged, making it very useful for closer combat.

Cons:- This jutsu is only short to mid-ranged, so an enemy at long range from the user won’t be affected by the jutsu because they’re out of the jutsu’s range.
- This jutsu would be rendered useless if the enemy is using a technique that keeps them off the ground because they wouldn’t be shaken by the jutsu.
- An enemy could probably recover from this jutsu quickly because it’s only a small tremor, and if the enemy was aware of the technique, they could come back from it faster.

Counter: I would probably use this technique below because if I were riding the water, I would be off the ground and not affected (or not as affected) by World Shaking. I could also use this technique to attack an opponent before they can move on to another jutsu.

Good.

(Doton: Dorosandan) – Earth Release: Mudshot
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 10
Description: The user spits a thick globule of mud at the target. If aimed correctly, it can
blind the target's vision and choke them. It
can also be used to create a sticky patch on
the ground.
You will focus doton chakra into your mouth and mold it into stiky mud, then spit it inform of globule of mud towards your target. There are many supplemenyary uses to this and this is well effective in other ways rather than the damage it deals.
