Because it's compressed chakra/wind being released thus expanding

it auto expands when it hits somthing or gets in contact with something. That compressed air which expands as it no longer is compressed.


And that video shows kakazu using the jutsu through his mask. It comes from your mouth, remember that.

Needs hand seals but, blow sphere of slicing wind at your opponent in a wide range. It will be able to cut them.

(Fūton: Shinkūha) – Wind Release: Vacuum Wave

Hand seals again, but this time you have to rotate your body as you are releasing it. Basically shaping it as you release and spin your body.

Can be used to attack or force enemies back anywhere in a mid range, 360 distance.

Description: A stronger version of the original Wind Release: Great Slashing Tornado technique. The user creates two localized tornadoes by flapping their Giant Fan. The first tornado ensnares the opponent in it and the second tornado combines with the first to create one giant tornado that slashes the opponent to death with razor sharp wind pinions. This technique can be performed by ninja who do not wield the Giant fan but require to make a sequence of 7 hand seals to perform the technique.

Raise your hand and send chakra into the air. THe clouds change into a stormy one and brind down a tornado from above.​

(Fūton: Sakūgen Sebiti) - Wind Release: Slashing Tornado

With a fan you don't need seals but without it needs 7. Blow it from your mouth and create two tornados. First one ensnares and the other does rest of the damage.​

Advantage:
Can be used to come from above and is hard to dodge. The tornado can also be used to attacking people that are in flight.

Disadvantage:
The activation process is slow since you have to raise your hand to send chakra up and manipulate air above.

|2nd jutsu|

Advantage:
Creates two tornados thus making it where the opponent has to defend both

Disadvantage:
If I don't have a fan of some sort I'd have to do those 7 hand seals

You need a fan for this technique. Basically infuse the fan with wind chakra and then make a tornado to trap you're opponent. You can control the tornado to slam them to the ground by using the fan.​

(Fūton: Tsuyoi Kaze Nami) - Wind Release: Powerful Wind Wave

It's a jutsu that comes from the mouth after a sequence of hand seals. It's a slicing type of wind so not very good to use with the combination of fire. Though it is a slicing type, therefore you can cut into you're opponent with this. Notice the 2 meters of blade,​
