Anyway, I perform a set of hand seals and form a Rasengan which I then throw at a target, causing it to burn and shrivel up.

ALRIGHT SO HERE'S the trademark technique, well sort of. >.> It doesn't require any hand signs which is a given, but it's only sustained within your hand and thus of course needs direct contact to work. What you wanna do is first, extend out your more dominant arm, and channel chakra towards the centre of your palm. Accumulating chakra at that point, cause it to rotate in a singular direction whilst drawing in wind particles from the air which after a given time formulates into a rotating sphere of wind chakra. In an epic way then, run into your opponent slamming said palm into wherever you desire, the impact would result in some lethal damage being dealt, as well as destruction to the battlefield.

Putting out my left, more dominant hand, I begin focusing my chakra at a central point on my palm. Applying shape manipulation, I allow my chakra to flow out of this central point, and rotate around it. This requires maximum levels of concentration and control, and it looks like I'm constipated, based on my stance. This rotating chakra then begins to spiral and compress, forming a distinct sphere. However, it's still incomplete, as now, I begin applying my nature transformation to allow my Fuuton chakra, as well as the environment's wind particles, to circulate and mix with my formed Rasengan. After a few moments of fierce, determined concentration, I form a Rasengan with white highlights from the wind chakra.
Holy shit, this was cool.
Running towards sensei's clone, I then slam the Rasengan into his chest, which pushes him back a safe distance from me, and explodes into an maelstrom of chakra and cutting wind. My hand is slightly damaged from the point of impact, but nothing that would stop me from continuing battle.
How would you use the technique in battle:
Rasengan... pretty much however Naruto uses it in battle LOL. But I suppose I could even counter and destroy things like constructs, obstacles, etc.
How to defend from the technique:
Unfortunately, this technique, unlike its stronger shriken counterpart, is short-ranged and can't be thrown. So, to capitalize on that, I would watch the linear way my opponent would run and attempt to attack me. I could even use a defensive fire technique to deter my opponent from coming any closer.

These blasts spread, much like how a shotgun fires, and hits multiple targets in front of me, causing respectable, concentrated damage.
How would you use the technique in battle:
This is a nice technique to use if my enemy is in mid-air, because of the speed of the bullets, it would be harder for them to dodge accordingly.
How to defend from the technique:
Earth armor... earth walls of higher rank... fire walls... I could even take advantage of the time the jutsu takes to perform and hit my enemy like that, interrupting his move. Kinda dicky to do that, though.
Do you like anything about the technique?

If you gusta 2 jutsu, then you'll mucho gusto my sets of 3. My training method is straitforward: I post jutsu for you to perform with as much details as possible to demonstrate your understanding. Your targets are usually Pein and their summons so you could provide a "realistic" description of the jutsu's effects. Let's begin. 
First i want you to perform the Rat, Snake, Horse, and Dog handseals. Then take a deep breath and exhale while spinning your body. The wind blown should be take the form of a large blade of compressed wind covering a wide area around you and capable of hitting multiple targets. Mow these guys down.

(Fūton: Shinkūha) – Wind Release: Vacuum Wave

Observing as his new senpai walks in all epic like, Souji notices there are 6 of them. Wow, the legendary Six Paths of Pein... he couldn't help but fanboy a little inside.
"Thank you senpai, I'll try not to disappoint!"
However, without warning, Four of the Peins jump at him with blades. Well, this was sudden. He supposed Pein-senpai already had high expectations. Right to the techniques, then!

Pivoting on his right foot as an anchor, he performed a small rotation, releasing his breath as a stream of wind that would blast and cut through the Peins, stopping their assault from completing, with multiple blade-like injuries on their bodies.

"That's like some Wizard of Oz stuff. Or Maybe three little pigs? Can't tell which, heh."

By causing local air currents around him to begin to gyrate, they form two small tornadoes on his left and right. By applying his shape manipulation, these tornadoes stabilize, and by controlling them, Souji sends the tornado on his left toward the Peins, who are, by now, in short range and within killing distance. This first tornado whips up and causes the Peins to get sucked towards its eye, trapping and ensnaring them in it. After successfully doing so, Souji directs the second tornado toward the first one, and upon contact, the tornadoes combine to form a larger one, and the sheer speed, size, and strength of the wind cuts the Peins up with razor wind attacks.

Impressive. Here's an easy one: After performing the Bird, Hare, Horse, and Ram handseals exhale a vertical blade of compressed wind 2 meters long at your target that holds a decent amount of destructive force. Demolish this tree here.

Looking at the nearby tree, Souji felt a little guilt for having to destroy the tree. Yeah, maybe he was a little bit of a tree hugger; so what? Anyway, he performed the handseals required of him: Bird, Hare, Horse, Ram. While doing this, he molds Fuuton chakra in his lungs, manifesting it with his nature manipulation, and compressing it into a blade shape with his shape manipulation. Exhaling this wind blade, it hits the tree with both concussive and slashing force, doing a good amount of damage to it.
"Nice."

Weaving a set of 5 handseals, Souji molded Fuuton chakra and released multiple blades of wind, created from shape transformation of his chakra. These blades intersected in a network, criss-crossing to form a large net that expanded outward, aimed towards the crab he somehow didn't notice before. The crab didn't stand a chance.
Afterward, Souji found a nice, old tree that looked ripe to cut down. It looked like an oak tree. Channeling Fuuton chakra through his right hand and fingertips, he releases blades of wind from his fingertips which look like streaks. Then, by swiping his hand across from left to right, he releases the blades from his hand which converge into a single, large blade that cuts up the firewood. In true cartoon fashion, the tree ends up being cut up into perfect slices of firewood.
As the crab cooked, Souji took a deep breath, inhaling while applying nature transformation, creating a large vacuum that sucked in the Peins that were trying to reach for its meaty, boiled goodness. They were pulled back right before they managed to intercept the food, and were being brought closer to Souji, who was standing on the opposite end. Once his lungs filled to capacity, Souji stopped sucking in the vacuum and molded the inhaled air with his Fuuton chakra, exhaling it as a large bullet that smacked the Peins with great force before they could fully recover from the vacuum's effects.
"Sadly, I'm allergic to crabs. I won't be able to enjoy your cooking, sensei!" he said apologetically.

Under the cover of this jutsu, Souji runs out of the dust cloud and reemerges in front of Pain-senpai, virtually unharmed, if not a little dusty.

He formed the handseals Rat → Snake → Horse → Dog and took a deep breath, molding Fuuton chakra and exhaling wind blades, uniform in size but stacked over each other in an alternating pattern that made it look like a snowflake's arms, sans the icy, branching properties of the latter. This attack hit the wall and simply tore it apart, cutting it at multiple angles and pushing it back a considerable distance.
"I have to say, senpai, that was a flattering picture of you, heh." Souji joked.
A giant ox charged at Souji, with no respite. Panting, he smirked a little, exuding a tired yet confident aura. He was going to prove himself to senpai, who was powerful in his own right. Forming the Tiger and Dog handseals, he inhaled and applied the same properties of Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere, but instead of forming a full vacuum effect, he exhaled, his breath mixed with Fuuton chakra, and applied shape manipulation to form a huge sphere that hit the ox and damaged it with enough force to disperse the animal.
