If you want to say Naruto can't do anything without a Tailed Beast, then the same could be said to Sasuke without special eyes.

Preta Path can absorb attacks as well. It doesn't require physical contact to a person.

Gathering nature energy isn't really a Kurama perk. A couple of Shadow clones could have done the same thing if Naruto didn't have Kurama.

Sasuke was shown that he understood the horror and pain involved with killing Naruto and entering a world of hate and loneliness. Sasuke was only fighting with his head and it was clear the he didn't desire Naruto's death, he just viewed it as necessary for the "greater good."

Neither of them truly fought at 100%, mind and soul, they were both tired after days of fighting and mental stress from choosing their paths, on top of neither of them fully unlocked their potentials yet.

It's true Naruto has a mental strength that Sasuke didn't have, but if the roles were reversed and Naruto was the one with an internal conflict, there's no doubt the fight would've ended the same way.
