What's wrong with Danzo as a leader? He truly cared for the village, his actions may have been cold but they were rational and were the best choice for the village.

I don't like tobirama anymore. He has a right to be suspicious against Madara yes but after a peace treaty he should have treated Madara and the Uchiha clan with more respect and as equals. You could tell his thoughts about the Uchiha never changed and Madara quickly saw that and acted to protect his clan who then turned thier back on him. I'm starting to feel sorry for Madara.

I liked tobirama better before I knew his personality.

I agree. He acted like a scared duche. Hashi should've made tobi fight Madara and kurama instead. But I think that if Madara became Hokage, he would've killed Tobirama. Hashi should've made them come to terms with eachother.

Hashi had the peace going

But Tobirama ruined it by separating the Uchihas

It's fairly ludicrous to say that Tobirama is the source of many issues presented in the manga.

The man established the infrastructure for the village and gave the Uchiha a prominent role to promote peace.
The only thing people seem to cling to when expressing their disapproval of him is the "issue" of the Police HQ.

If that's what flamed Madara's hatred, than Tobirama's gaging of the Uchiha as highly impressionable was correct.

He did not ostracize them, nor did he kill any of them after establishing the village.
He gave the clan an important role in the village and thought they'd do well fulfilling it.

Tobirama had the village's interests at heart when he demanded that the position of Hokage follow a democratic process.
If Madara was made Hokage without an election, he'd probably end up nominating fellow Uchiha for future spots.
That assumption is made off the fact that Madara has only ever been concerned with making sure his clan stays strong.
