Why Naruto and Hashirama are greater leaders

Still reading through THE PRINCE, just found this lil comparison that I would like to point out. It is that a Prince should be both a beast and a man.

In the manga we have seen both of these qualities from characters, and how negelgence in 1 side , resulted in their downfall. However what separates Hashirama and Naruto from this is the ability to have them both on equal level.

You must know there are two ways of contesting, the one by the law, the other by force; the first method is proper to men, the second to beasts; but because the first is frequently not sufficient, it is necessary to have recourse to the second.

The beast: People like Madara/Danzo/Obito/Hanzou.. all relied on power and scaring people away that they weren't able to realize themselves. Just like how Konoha was trying to be the beast with the uchiha matter and ended up having an coup on their hand. These guys were foxes and lions. Some who are only Lions , for example, the Raikage.. they are too buffoons to understand the situation.

The man: following the law or going by the law, like Hiruzen and etc did..don't use any force.. in the end he only made situations worst for Konoha by letting the Uchiha thing by Danzo get out of hand. Danzo all over the place under Hiruzen's reign. But he lacked "the beast".


Combination of both: People tend to call Naruto and Hashirama naive. But in the end the truth is they will - you up, if you mess with their shit. However they aren't simple animals, they try to understand first.. but if you get too out of hand they will put you down. There is also an reason for Hashirama acting all playful in fact its best described in THE PRINCE

But it is necessary to know well how to disguise this characteristic [the beast]

Was it not Hashirama who saw that in order to stop the war people will need to form an alliance, which will ulitmatly lead to an cycle, hence stopping the wars.. Was it not Hashirama who gathered the clans? Oh yes it was Hashirama.

Hashirama was the beast when he needed to. Please understand your own quote you presented deeply and then try to apply it to the characters.

In the end, they were all kept in check by Hashirama. He acted playful, because he could. He did not care for them being the Kages.. he was glad that they even came together with him. Just switch Tobirama with him.. and see if we even get to the Gokage conference.
