Minato sensed Naruto almost immediately after Oro revealed about the war. So it may need kneading chakra but that time is like an instant. Well what you say might be possible and I also thought of that but I do not have any proof to back that and he provided genuine facts that can't be ignored. It may also be possible that Kabuto closed his eyes as a precautionary measure but again there's no proof to validate that so no point in dragging the argument unnecessarily. With that being said, I do believe that Minato has a lot of ways to avoid Itachi's tsukiyomi and win.
