U don't know the meaning of speed,it is not about running with ur legs or flying like superman or teleporting,SPEED is about who is able to be the first to reach a certain point.RUNNING flying or telepoting is just a way of movement,
so the means can be faster than each other depending on the user's speed in this case minato's telepoting speed is the fastest in the manga(after all tobi uses space time ninjustu too but like i said it depends on the user)
And he also has normal speed in running close to the raikage's speed but it's his teleporting that makes his the fastest
Plus i don't know why u guys keep bring up something already know as fact just look at this picture not even lee in 6 gates or raikage can do this

What about his reflexes and reaction speed?

They are said to be among the best. It's his reflexes/reaction time that allowed him to use his jutsu to dodge the Raikage.

Surely that's a classic example of speed?

I don't think teleporting can be counted as speed.Admittedly minato is very fast.no doubt about that,but Raikage,Guy,Lee and Naruto all use their own two feet and don't rely on kunai and tags.
I'm not sure about this but to teleport to somewhere minato has to place a kunai at that place first so ftg has its disadvantages if minato needs to get somewhere far which doesn't have a kunai at.

reason why Minato is the fastest is mostly because of his Flying Thunder God space-time technique...altho his base speed, even body flicker is incredibly fast; its the FTG jutsu that puts him over the top of everyone...including Might Gai, Rock Lee & the Raikages

speed isn't just about running...it's whatever it takes to get you really accelerate; whether you gotta run, fly or travel by bending time & space

So you are essentially saying take away mianto's FTG tech, and he is not as fast as Lee/Raikage/Gai?

Well if you are going to do that, lets be fair and take away lee/Gai's gates, and raikage's raiton armor. If they are all in base, minato still has by far the best speed feat out of all of them.

Minato is the fastest, even amoung other S/T users in that his FTG is instant, unlike Tobi's who's S/T takes time.
