In Akatsuki lists i see people most of the time puting Sasori above Kakuzu and i clearly don't know why. Sasori on his own admission had difficulties to enter Akatsuki, was the first Akamen to die both at the begin of shippuden or in this war, the former being against Sakura, the latter against Kankuro. Kakuzu on the other side is a man who fought the God of Shinobi(Hashirama) without the takigakure forbidden technique and survived, who killed multiple of his Akatsuki partners when his boiling points were low and was killed while being put against multiple high level opponents both in middle shippuden and in this war
Reasons why i believe Kakuzu > Sasori
Kakuzu's doton domu makes him immune to every physical attacks by hype:
Only weakness is
Tanking feat:
Sasori's arsenal is all made of physical attacks and unfortunately he has no raiton affinity. But what is even worse is that his attacks are weak in general
Sasori's arsenal:
- poisoned kunais
- poisoned needles
- bunch of puppet hands
- Fire attack
- A piercing rope
Kunais, needles, some bunch of hands, a small fire attack, a piercing rope aren't enough to even scratch Kakuzu's defensive capacity when you see him capable to tank
Furthermore when he uses his rope, he is really vulnerable
So i think it's really not a move he should use in battle personally
- Sasori also has his puppet army
But this army of puppet is manly composed on kunais or chakra blades, none of which i believe could scratch Kakuzu. Furthermore, they have shown no resilience feats easily defeated by Chiyo's puppets or Sakura punches
The way Chiyo's puppets
The only advantage i can see Sasori using with them is to take advantage of the number to try to catch Kakuzu off-guard, but with kakuzu himself having 4hearts(besides his own one) as a support with much more destructive powers, i think he can easily leave them do the job done when himself could either dodge some of them if needed or use his doton domu to protect himself against such weak attacks
The only doubtful thing i have concerning Sasori's arsenal is his
On the other side we've Sasori who as a puppeter is weak in close combat because of their fighting style, because they have to concentrate on controlling their puppets perfectly while fighting. Sasori even admitted that
Kakuzu's arsenal
- Overwhelming fuuton attack
- Fast lightning piercing attacks
- Overwhelming Katon attack
- He can even create combos to amplify their power scaling like with this katon+fuuton combo
And when i see it, i seriously don't see how Sasori with his puppets or not could dodge those attacks especially since he has no speed feats and he not only has to dodge them but also to concentrate in manipulate his puppets. Kakuzu fortunately for him has the advantage to send his monsters everywhere on the battlefield and attack the enemy without controlling them, so it gives him a supplement when attacking if he wants
- Furthermore, the guy even has 5hearts, so for Sasori to defeat him, he has to kill him 5times. Just killing him once is already difficult for me to believe when you see my comparison, so definitely i can't see a scenario where Sasori can push Kakuzu to death 5times
So ultimately, those are my reasons why i believe Kakuzu is above Sasori. Only my opinion though. Hope you enjoyed reading

for example, Kakuzu's fuuton attack could destroy all of them in one blow

because of the magnetism ability. But unfortunately even this magnetism ability only works on

, something that Kakuzu doesn't even use weapons when he fights(or rarely). Even if he used it, it doesn't change the main problem anyway, which is to find a way to get Kakuzu despite his doton domu.
