I am trying to learn Japanese. Can't do that if they all talk English, which I am already good at.

I dont know what these people are talking about, i enjoy the english dub. Maybe not as much as the subbed, cause to be fair the english voice actors sometimes dont put enough effort into it, but its still enjoyable (the uncut version that is, I dont even DARE to see how bad disney BUTCHERED it)

that's because Naruto is not made to be in English dub.The english characters have neither energy nor acting which is needed for naruto anime. To be frank they s@#k.

Nicelly saied.

There are a lot of reasons actually.
A) I wanna learn Japanese, and listening to it helps a lot.
B) I like the original voices.
C) The english dub is made by 4kids, aka sensored. It's made for 5 Year olds, and I hate it (and 4 kids)
D) Everything is just better in Japanese... I mean, the voices have a tone that can be used only in japanese...

The Dub has to record the audio after the animation is done ,not before like the Sub is, so it looses roaming because it has to match the lips perfectly.

The dub is emotionless and some voices are irritating, while in Sub theY all fit perfectly.

NO. It was made for a japanese audience but because people outside japan like it too the place where they are hosted translates them. So some translations/meanings/puns/innuendos get lost and make it lose its veracity.

You'll find some English dubs that are better than the original. Personally I can't stand the English dubbed Shippuden episodes. The voices sound too forced to me.

It could be that people watch the original since it's released first and once they get used to the voices they don't want to switch over to a new set of voice-actors.

I like the subbed better because thats the way it was meant to be. I wouldn't take a Picasso painting and say hey, I'm going to change this, this, and this. Having it subbed is as close to Naruto's quintessence as possible without learning japaness.

In addition the voice actors for the english version have so stretch out their words to match the lip movements of the animated characters. That makes it seem rather ridiculous.

English Dub is just too ridiculous to watch and listen to. They pronounce the names in a funny way. I'm just more used to the Japanese Dub. :)
