Why don't people like eng dub?

I like subbed better, but I have no issues with dubbed.

The voices in english are just plain SH*T.

For one, the English voice actors aren't nearly as good as the originals. More over, usually any English dub anime censor/alter the phenomenal original scenes. The dialogues dialogues were mainly changed and the epic openings/endings were replaced for 20 second inferior English songs/scenes as well as in most cases even the inserted music was changed. It was only passable when you were young and didn't know the difference between cartoon/anime. However, when I was exposed to the this revelation I had to re-watch all the anime in its originality and it truly blew my mind.​

Some of the english voices sound like complete shit. E.X. Shikaku and Ibiki. I only pray that they don't screw up Shibi's English voice. While some, E.X. Shikamaru, Lee, Kakashi, Gai, Tenzou/Yamato and I guess Sakura don't sound that bad. Sometimes, I prefer the Japanese voices over the English. And sometimes, It's vice versa. It all depends on the character.

Even though i only speak english i know the answer to your question, its because their are words and phrases in japanese that cant be translated into english and apart from that a slight mistranslation from the original can change our undertsanding of what a character just said which screws us over. censoring naruto also sucks

I Hate English voices..
The best voice actors are Japanese.. I love how they express thier emiotns.. and also thier voices perfectly fits on characters mood ^^

I will agree that there are some parts that the english did mess up. E.X. Shikamaru's crying part in episode 83. I feel that the Japanese actor put more effort into it and made it a lot more emotional.

However, there are parts that even the Japanese messed up on. E.X. I feel that the Japanese voice actor for Shino doesn't display his emotions as good as the English voice actor.
