OP: Sasuke attacked Madara with a sword 3 times and failed two times. Naruto keeps trying because he thinks it can work.
1. Rasengan on Susano.
Madara was in a good position for Naruto, so he drops a big attack to crack Susano. Nothing wrong here.

2. He was in Rikduo Bijuu Mode, and was way stronger he thought it could work. His speed and power has increased dramatically, and he had the onmyoton so any ninjutsu like Susano would be powerless.

3. Derp moment. Don't know why Kishi made KCM Naruto stupid in that moment when he had fought Pain before.

Naruto wasn't the one who said, "now do as I say Sasuke". The previous chapter completely nullifies your statement as Naruto was the one who even admitted following Sasuke's lead.
