Why do you guys still RP here?

I've never been a fan of Ame as a village. I thought it should have stayed as just the base 5 villages and if Akatsuki were to be introduced, Akatsuki as a mercenary group, but not Ame. As Typhon said, it has official ties to Akatsuki so I can see why the creation of it was allowed but practically, I never remember being a big fan of it's creation, though this has nothing to do with the members; I just dislike that it was made an official village for the RP, since the NW was created for the 5 Great Villages and now it's the 5 Great Villages + Ame, which always tends to make me type the 6 Great Villages, which ofc, is inaccurate. Either way, I wasn't a big fan of either Ame or the Samurai usergroups being made.

I think Ancrath has been a very good addition to the NW.

I think Ancrath has been a very good addition to the NW.

Well, Ancrath is largely unofficial, thigs that you yourself can create and need no input from neither mods or admins to create, like ZK did. The only "official" ties that Ancrath has is that the Hospital is stationed on one of the islands that Zero renamed (cant remember the exact name atm lol), and I think the Prison as well, which reminds me to do something.

Idk, I actually like that our RP is based largely around the canon verse.

Actually Ame in nw was my idea. I kept pitching it to Akatsuki when I was in it. Vincent was completely against it, so hey you two are more alike than you know. The rest liked the idea however. I then went to Nexus and he said to make a thread in the Q&A section about it and a petition for it. I created the petition, was going to make the thread and suddenly I'm added to a chat with Akatsuki in it and suddenly Vincent likes the idea and pitched it to Nexus. Nexus creates Ame. If it was Vincents idea, why did it go exactly in what my design for it was? My idea was to have Ame as a branch from Akatsuki, with us being able to see the village and it being a home for the Akatsuki and that's exactly what it was when it was created. It was not only something for Akatsuki to call a home but something to protect. Something to give Akatsuki activity. Something to give Akatsuki added forces for side projects, recruiting, building up, etc.

I'm thrilled to hear about your fascinating deeds, Yard! But Vincent wasn't my point as to why Amegakure should not exist (imo), and I actually liked the guy. May he be with health wherever he is now.

To be honest I didn't like the initial idea of Akatsuki in an RP prospective. Not having a place of residence where they go to is pretty powerful in a text based rp centered around villages and is just confusing. Which is why I wanted to tie Ame to Akatsuki upon it's creation and it was for a while. Now while that didn't mean the Akatsuki were there, it did mean that they would most likely defend the village when opposed by high threats. Which we did do back when I was in Akatsuki. It also made Akatsuki RP much more interesting. "Oh, you have a target now, it's Amegakure and if we and other villages band together and take it on in hopes of drawing you all out, we'll get to kill you." I actually thought hard about the idea of Amekatsuki and it started when Lili went on witch hunts looking for the Akatsuki, throwing insults etc, I would always laugh but at the same time go "eh we're probably all going to end up inactive and let the usergroup die because she and everyone else can bark forever and it won't mean anything, there's no "drive" to go and fight them other than the lame rp of "oh, you said X thing because I did X thing and you want revenge." Revenge RP is the lamest RP ever because it's one sided. I don't give a fudge if I blew up your village. I blew it up because I don't care, there's nothing more to it and by rp'ing with those that want revenge I'd just be a punching bag. Also the ninja world isn't set up for Akatsuki RP, that much is pretty obvious. Would need a kumi and bounty system, a mission system etc to really get the full effect of the Akatsuki. While in Akatsuki for the nearly 2 years I was in it for, there was something missing. It lacks a lot of RP capability. I believe it should always have to be affiliated with a village (any village) by rule but that's just me. Ame however is just basically the Ninja world Canada.

Personally, I don't oppose Ame. I simply disagree with the reasons behind its creation in the first place and how half-assed it became easily.

People question why things sometimes don't work in the RP as fast as they want...well, when things are made in a hype induced fever, the result rarely works out. Ame + Akatsuki and its overall mix was an example of this.

If akatsuki needs to exist or not? Perhaps. But if it does, in my opinion, it needs to be soemthing that it hasn't been nor is likely to ever be: an elite rping group, with top tier members, that do havoc on the NW without village affiliations. But it isn't. Its this group no one knows what it is or how it can fit...it just is.

Ame on the other hand, because things weren't thoughout thouroughly, will always suffer the stigma of being the "+1" village. And thats not really fair to its members. That and the fact that we might not have enough people in the RP to have a 6 village system fully working. Debatable.

But now, Ame exists. Its not really correct to remove it at this point, only to try and fix any issues that might still exist around its presence. Akatsuki the same. And I don't hate or oppose anyone of them in the system.

Village rivalry is a nice thing but it can easily blind us from the important aspects of the villages. Ame is, despite all the hate thrown towards it, quite a capable village, active and numerous. I has been months since I was able to read inside it but I believe this to be true. Hopefully, its members can gradually enjoy acceptance into the RP.

I would say I like to simply RP in the NW but everyone is so hung up on fighting all of the time that no actual RP exists. It's always fighting which is lame, being that I actually like to... Well... You know... RP. Plus I like the idea of making a Naruto character, whether canon or noncanon being that Naruto is my favorite anime. I won't find this on another site nor in the KT unofficial RPs. That's why I'll always put effort into this RP. It has its ups and downs, like now. Bios are being checked so late and so are CJs... But whatever... Like I said, won't find it anywhere else. Beggars cannot be choosers...

Hey Moxxi, if you really want to RP without all the fighting - try and find someone to do it with, just ask around, I'm sure there is one other Decent RPer out there that will do it with you :3

Anyway I rp, just to rp. Always bored, so it's a nice distraction. I could give a bunch of reasons that are smaller then simply being bored like protecting my village, trying to keep things in my village productive, etc but when it comes down to the geniune reason of why I rp here it's simply because it's a nice way to circumvent boredom.
