I constantly hear people say "I wish naruto would end", "I'm glad naruto is over", "They're just milking it for money!", and all sorts of other ways they phrase it. I get it, the manga didn't quite live up to it's expectations near the end which is very disappointing. But why would you want it to end? I use to want the manga to end when it was still early in the war arc (obito vs naruto) but now I don't want it to stop! Anything that happens after chapter 700 is just for true fans. If you don't like it don't watch it or read it.

There is no such thing as milking the series. It ended only 2 years ago and since it's still got such a large following it makes sense to continue it in smaller projects.

Dragon ball Z ended in 1996. Yet they have milked it through dragon ball z kai, multiple movies, dragonball GT, and now in modern times they have the courage to actually reboot it for dragon ball super. If that isn't MILKING then you guys have lost your bloody minds. Complain about dragonball being milked instead of complaining about naruto. At least naruto didn't wait a decade just to continue the story.

EDIT: Don't forget that most of you do nothing to financially support the series. So if it's crap kishi it's putting out then that's because you don't deserve the high quality stuff! Probably why the anime has crappy animation.

It was good then it got bad. Tastes changed as the series changed.

They want it to end because, once it just starts getting progressively worse, it's better to have it end on a possible high note rather than just continue decreasing forever, as DBZ did.

"There's no such thing as milking a series." This is objectively and fundamentally incorrect. DBZ is a great example of a series being milked because nothing new or original is coming out of it. It's clear they're running out of and recycling old ideas, just making it bigger so it looks new. Fillers are an example of the Naruto series being milked. Fillers were a necessity during the manga's run, but now, it's only necessary to make money. When the manga has ended and the anime only had 7 canon episodes the entire year, it's being milked, no matter how much you like it. Also, another series being milked worse than Naruto doesn't mean Naruto isn't being milked. "Yeah but DBZ" sorry, doesn't matter.

I don't get it either, this series basically made my Wednesdays a little better.

I would always come home from work be it a good or stressfull day, sat down in front of my computer or phone and read the latest chapter and then chill in NB discussing it, making predictions and analyzing the little details each chapter had on the weekly basis.

I absolutely don't mind if they keep "milking" the series...

Okay first thing first dont say Ture fans like people who dont want to see a series continue aren't true fans. Seriously that's just a ridiculous statement.

Naruto has been going on since 1999 that's a long ass time. The series didn't need to be that ****ing long. A good story is one that knows when to end, it makes its point then ****ing ends.

Some people do t like it when something drags on that's just how it is.

Next thing, Everything that sells well gets milked that's how things work because of a little something known as the economy. People that make a big deal out of it obviously aren't in touch with reality.

Not even gonna bother with what you said about DB since. You pretty much unintentionally refuted your own point about it. Though I will say you should educate yourself about why dragon ball super even exists so you don't go around saying it was some continuation to a story that was delayed.

^This. Is. Absolutely. True. Thanks.

The show was great for a long time and it has an awesome concept, but it got worse and worse as time went by. A lot of people are just very disappointed after they spent several years enjoying the series. And like Riker mentioned, for some people (including me) it is far better to have an end of a good story, than a bad story without any end in sight.

Anything that happens after chapter 700 is just for true fans.
No, that's not true.
Even before chapter 700, the story was already complete garbage. The ending and everything after 700 was "fanservice" for people who don't care about consistency and logic within the created universe. If the 12 year old "Tumblr-community" forms the "real fans", then okay. I'll no longer consider myself as fan.

That you hate Naruto - I understand. That you want it to end is just sadistic, nonetheless I agree that Naruto sunk from probably the best manga (imo) to a mediocre.

Nah its just being milked because it sells merchandise well, as everything that gets popular does. That's not gonna change unless money no longer exists. Unless its being forced to continue story wise i don't get why people would find it such a big deal. Also this hasn't happens with DB since GT hardly anywhere near forever as you put it.

It's a good concept in the hands of a shitty writer.
What a dumb statement. I doubt anybody from the street when called up can shoulder the Naruto project into their arms. Naruto was a good series made by Kishi, the fights always made me want to read it and more importantly I wanted to see what path Naruto will take. Organizing this type of plot where you are ought to save your best friend from the darkness and become a leader while facing obstacles in the way takes master planning.

OT: Naruto was the only manga that got me into the Japanese Cartoon section. Of course I am not going to blatantly throw shade on the author of how he ruined the series. Every Naruto chapter there was always some type of plot twist which made it more interesting to read on a weekly basis. The only time I decided to lay back on the manga and wait until 50 chapters were published was during the very intial stages of the War Arc where it was honestly quite boring. I've never wanted the manga to end because I knew that Kishi will live up to his reputation.

Not trying to start any keyboard warrior posts here but Naruto was always mediocre or average. Nothing about it was revolutionary or and never been done before(writing wise) in order to make it above being an average run of the mill manga. Note though, that average mediocre doesn't mean bad. Of course when it comes to how you personally feel, your opinion, there is no limit to what you can say about it.

They're false fans as the quotation marks in the title implies. Good move.

These kind of people are nothing more than ungrateful bastards who have no honor in their bones. How someone could bash the creator of a series that has brought him so much joy is beyond me.
I could never pay Kishi back for all the amazing Wednesday and Thursday mornings he gave me. And having been able to read his manga for free was the best part about it.
To show my support, I've been purchasing volumes from Amazon. Hopefully, one day I will own them all.

I just don't consider these people to be fellow true fans, and will never embrace them as such. It's like when you find out someone you think low of likes your current favorite song. Like "Ewww. That guy likes the same song that I do?" lol

Edit: Overly-nostalgic DBZ fanboys are pitiful.
