Why do so many people try to excuse Sasuke's plan to destroy Konoha?

Nagato wanted to capture all the Biju to create a massive super weapon and sell it to villages for them to use against each other, in order for them to know pain... Yeah... Innocent people surely won't be harmed in that

Obito wanted to force everybody into an illusion because he saw his crush die by the hands of his best friend... (They are shinobi, death is something they have to face every dang day)... Totally not bringing innocent people into that Lol

How so? What's your point, unlike pretty much every other Naruto villain, Sasuke only had one bad thing happen to him, yet is given the most sympathy. Let's see

Nagato

-parents killed before his very eyes (so what happened to Sasuke)

-had to survive poor and starving in a war zone

-only wanted to protect his friends and so was forced to kill his best friend

-became crippled

And all of this because he wanted to bring peace and understanding to his war torn village

Obito

-had no parents

-had the same lonely and friendless background as Naruto

-Rin becomes practically the only friend he has

-becomes crippled saving her and Kakashi and the next time he sees them again, Kakashi (his best friend) is killing Rin (his oldest friend and love interest)

-on top of this he was being manipulated by Madara

So where Naruto's life got better, Obito's life got worse

Madara

-forced to be a soldier by the time he was about seven

-grew up in a world of constant war

-lost most of his family including his beloved brother

-felt betrayed and abandoned by Hashirama who was like a brother to him

-was manipulated by Black Zetsu (via the Tablet)

Gaara

-treated as a monster and weapon for most of his life

-only person to ever show him love and kindness tries to kill him and tells him that he always despised him

-his own father makes multiple attempts on his life

-can't sleep ever because of Shukaku

-eventually just goes completely insane

Sasuke

-family killed by his brother

-at least shown compassion and sympathy by the village

-decides to kill them all when he learns about five of them were responsible for his family's death

-allies with the man who willingly assisted in killing his clan

-brother who loved the whole village is branded a traitor and treated like worse than shit after doing such a horrendous mission for their sake

-wants them to know the pain his brother felt, for making him hurt that much
Ya see why I'm not as sympathetic towards him?

The comparisions you are trying to draw between this two don't exist. Danzo wanted to kill the Uchiha in order to prevent the deaths of more people, Itachi thought the same it's why he said he would do it. Hitlar was far worse it's amazing to me how you are trying to draw such comparisons

Hitler killed people with specific physical traits, Danzo did the same. Hitler was an extremist, so was Danzo. Hitler was the head of a secret police, so was Danzo. Hitler was a nationalist, so was Danzo. Hitler wanted to unite the world, so did Danzo.

Itachi thought the same it's why he said he would do it.

Itachi only followed orders because it was his job, don't mistake it for him agreeing with Danzo, it was either become Madara or kill his family.

Neither of them were right or justified (unlike you who pretends Sasuke was, I won't pretend they were) however, they viewed those innocents as collateral damage and ultimately wanted peace. Sasuke's plan was specifically to kill innocent people. Also, um, weren't Sasuke's parents Shinobi? Wasn't Sasuke a Shinobi? Wasn't death something he should be prepared to face everyday? Yeah, don't be upset with me, I'm just playing fair.

Sasuke's intentions for wanting to kill Danzo and the Elders is understandable but the Village and it's Citizens isn't.
