Why do people think Naruto will be next Hokage?

Gaara became Kazekage at a young age, so I can see Naruto becoming Hokage at a young age.

I think that as a sign of maturity, he will give up on wanting the hokage title. I mean, this dude is going toe to toe (and losing, but that's life) with the Ten-Tails, and he's the main component in the current plan to defeat it. I assume that all the villages by now recognize his power, and not only Konoha. Also, he probably recognizes he's isn't fit for the job... At all, much like Jiraya.

Sakura has a better shot at being Hokage than Naruto does, that's for sure.

Also... Would he be willing to work with the people who turned his best friend's life into hell? Sure, Naruto is as much of a fool as they come, and he's all loalty to the village and such bull, but I assume that he knows by now how much of a cutthroat life you get once you get involved into ninja politics...

...I don't think he has the stomach for that.

I think he will be Hokage in the end. That means not now. If there is a timeskip after the war just to make him Hokage I hope they end the series. Things are hyped up as they are now. If they make people more powerful five years later it would just feel stupid to read. If they do continue the show after a timeskip and Naruto is Hokage I hope the story focuses someone else. Like Narutos/Sasukes theoretical kid or Konohamaru.

I just don't hope it will timeskip to where Naruto is Hokage and Sasuke is the villain and they keep getting even stronger and stronger to kill eachother. That's what I am afraid of.
