Girls have a different sense of comfortability level with each other than guys do.

For one, girls brains are wired to the point that they NEED to have social time with each other.

Take for instance me and my ol' lady. I'm one of the most social people you would know. Even at the age of three, where most children are shy, I was introducing my family to strangers. But as a guy, I have absolutely no problem going out by myself to a nice bookstore and reading, or playing video games, or trying to get my "alone time". My girl is different though. Girls brains are wired to be more social, and that includes sharing things with each other and being in physical contact. It's something us guys just lack because our brains are wired differently.

There are basically unspoken rules for men that women don't have to follow. I personally wouldn't mind sharing deodorant with another guy, or a shirt or pants, but asking for my underwear is too much. Or trying to sleep in the same bed as me. Any of my boys that gets drunk and needs to stay at my place for the night can have the couch or the floor.

Girls on the other hand don't see it weird to share underwear/bed space.

It's not that they aren't human, just different.

I got it.

Those acts of sharing and interaction? Transmission of germs. Obviously when Memory cells interact with dead viruses, the cell will remember it and be better prepared to combat it next time it comes around. This allows females to be better stocked against disease long enough for them to bear children! It's very deep, but many social aspects of our lives is psychologically tuned for each other.

Well...it's just speculation, but I don't see any of you coming up with ideas! :|

it's a thing we girls do at young age imo, and EVEN I don't know why... but you guys know girls like to talk a lot so they can't keep away from each other... often we just go to the bathroom instead of whispering and sometimes we just want someone to answer the question; Is my Make-Up alright?

i don't do this anymore though... it was just when i was about 12-15... then i grew away from it, i'm pretty independent

But on a serious note I think its due to how our species evolved as a society: In the old days males were out hunting, fighting etc etc etc while females waited in their settlements and thus deepened on each other for support and cooperation (since the males cld be out for days.... some girls might have gone horny and experimented) and as a result has that kind of comfort level with each other. While the males too have a similar type of bonding (Bro Bonds..... which kinda allows us to work together better if there are no resentments but keep a certain distance from each other too..... in hunt and battle cooperation is the key to victory .......... while females can afford a bit of squabbles without being killed) but we are somewhat restricted due to our inherent nature of competing with other males (In the old days males had to compete for everything from water to ***) which makes our sense of ownership much more fierce.
