[Discussion] Why are subs better than dubs?

I havn't read the thread so sorry if someone said this but i see subs better than dub cos i find that voice actors are better.
and
thats the actual translastion gives us the real personality of the character,
e.g. if an evil guy got annoyed with the main good guy and shouted "I'm going to kill you and send you to hell you little prick!"
and then the dubs will make that "im going to destroy you and no one will be able to save you!"

thats why i like subs better, censorship and the so called protection of our younger generation always ruin things.

The only Dub i like is DBZ. I dislike the power up screams in Subs xd.

Go watch naruto Dub ep, then watch the same one in Sub, You'll see how bad the dubs actually are.

Subs are better and you can sooner watch the episodes, for dub version you have to wait to long!!

...Dubs lack emotional content...well in my opinion anyway. I like the subs because they just sound better..thought Ghost in the Shell did a great job with dubs..though I never saw subbed ones.

I prefer both, dubs and subs both have their pros and cons. My pros for dubs, you can watch it relaxed, eat a meal, blink, drink a beverage, etc. But you do have your shows like Naruto where you hear the same guy as 6 different characters. With subs in Japan, I hear there is one different voice actor for each different character which I think is pretty cool. For subs, you cant blink or youll miss the text displayed. I also believe when you start watching a show, you get accustomed to the way you watch it.

wow the reasons people hate dubs are stupid you have no real reason its not even bad all voices sounds like them if they spoke english and unless you can do better or will pick all the dub voice actors you need to stop whineing about dubs because i don't see how you hate it when YOU SPEAK FREAKING ENGLISH!

Yes my native Language is English, yes I SPEAK English.
And nobody is whining about Dubs, you are silly. This is a poll thread.

My personal preference would be subs. The dubbers usually do a poor job of representing a character's personalty and even if they don't (which is rare) it still sounds awkward to me. There is also the matter of unnecessary censorship to make it more kid friendly (not every cartoon should be aimed at children). I also somewhat understand Japanese, so it's nice listening to the original.

I don't think the sub is better than the dub they are both good
but sub has released more episodes so i watch it more but i have dub dvds.

I like both and watch both though I know the dubs could be a lot better, they don't put a lot of emotion into what they are saying. My opinion the Japanese dubs puts so emotion into what they are saying they some of it gives me chills :|
