[Discussion] Why are subs better than dubs?

I grew up with english dub Naruto, but the moment I started to watch eng subbed the dubbed version sounded terrible.

Like everything else for the most part, it depends.
One piece sucked major a$$.
And on the other side of the coin Death Note Is one of the best dubs I've ever heard.

Me personally I like subs, because there uncensored and you see them from 6 months up to 3 years before they over edited and dubbed.

It's all personal preference. Sometimes I'm in the mood for some uncensored violence, and sometimes I don't feel like reading.

Apart from all the reasons already stated, I like subs for one other thing. It improves your reading speed.

subs are out faster.
subs are as close to the original as possible
subs are usually uncensored.
subs arent really that hard to get used to, especially if your reading speed [like mine] is fast. then you get used to it in 1-2 episodes.

Whenever I watch TV, I have subtitles on. Even English shows. I prefer to get my story from reading things, and with subs I can also to a mate as I watch a show/film. But, if I watch a film on my own, I often turn the volume down and switch on subtitles.

This is yet another matter regarding preferences, you can't really have people decide which is better.

But Subs > Dubs. Imo

wow the reasons people hate dubs are stupid you have no real reason its not even bad all voices sounds like them if they spoke english and unless you can do better or will pick all the dub voice actors you need to stop whineing about dubs because i don't see how you hate it when YOU SPEAK FREAKING ENGLISH!

Dubs are stupid, they hire the people with the most annoying voices to them, seriously. Thought Naruto dubs are not as bad as Bleach dubs, those are the worst.

like Bleach dub has a better voice than the sub
I prefer dub for the reasons U stated already

I completely disagree, sure the Bleach Dub is good
But its nothing in comparison.
