Sakura is the closest person to Sasuke after Naruto.Him developing romantic interest in her is understandable.He changed back to the good side,completely opened up to them,apologized for everything,gave Sakura the forehead poke which Masashi said was,"Sasuke's ultimate form of expression",which showed Sakura was special to him.He also thanked her,which was for always supporting him,always trying to help him,and never giving up.Then he tells her he will see her when he comes back,and goes off on a journey to redeem himself,then comes back and is with her.

That's the thing, someone as far gone as Sasuke should not even be alive right now. If Kishi wanted to take the dark path, which he should have Sasuke would be dead, maybe even Naruto. He lived for the fate of the Uchiha clan.

From what I see NaruSaku has both. And over a timespan of 15 years, 699 chapters and approximately 11,900 panels. 8 panels can not convince a reader as to why Hinata should make babies with Naruto.

To be fair, Sakura would have looked bad either way. She was in love with Sasuke until the end and even had Kakashi promoting her love for Sasuke. Had she suddenly changed to like Naruto, it would have made it seem as if she only went for him because she couldn't get with Sasuke. Though the same can be said about Naruto with Hinata right now.

Sakura and Sasuke could easily be developed a lot more than Naruto and Hinata imo because of the fact that they were in the same team as genin and Sasuke did have emotional ties with her, even though he didn't want to admit it. Naruto kind of didn't get an explanation as to why he never payed attention to Hinata.

I honestly don't mind movies being canon as long as they don't interfere with what's been established, and/or explain what they're supposed to explain in a well-written manner. I don't know if this was done that way though, with all the complaints and all.
