I'm ready for the "Butthurt" and "More salt comments", but come on Kishimoto. Manga should be the only canon material there is, but since NaruHina makes no freaking sense development wise, you make a movie and claim it's canon? If someone were to just pick up Naruto and read it start to finish without watching The Last they'd be confused as a mofo. All NaruHina is, throughout 699 chapters is "girl likes boy who rarely communicates with her". Sounds a lot like High School crushes.
We see no development outside of the battlefield. The most they've communicated was during the chuunin exams. After a silent few years, there was The Confession which Naruto never acknowledged in the manga(Which he likely will 3 years later in the movie). And Hinata slapping him across the face which clearly had no romantic effect for Naruto because in the same war he called Sakura his girlfriend, but I will say that opened his eyes a bit more towards Hinata.
Speaking of Sakura, Kishimoto basically crapped all over her. I read the alleged interview and it says. NaruHina was decided early on (Which I don't believe). He said Kushina parallels were just to mislead or something like that. So he basically developed Naruto and Sakura's relationship to go with NaruHina that has 1:10 the development NaruSaku has? What he said is really confusing me. And Sasuke supposedly likes girls now? (Jk) Sakura's character just has no respect for herself. Kishi used her as a guinea pig basically. But this is proof NaruSaku fans had logic behind their pairing if even Kishi said he was doing it on purpose even though it was ultimately a troll.
Let me stop rambling. I would have no problem with NaruHina if there was actually more interaction with them in the manga. This movie is just to fill the panels that were never filled which is just wrong to me. If it was developed in the manga then so many people like myself would not call NaruHina an asspull. Same goes for SasuSaku. Sasuke goes from physically and mentally abusing her to having a child with her in the next chapter. Logic. Anyways I like their kids a lot and I know this movie will be amazing, just wished there was more NaruHina in the manga for it to not be an asspull in my eyes.
