Naruto had to shoulder everything and change it for the better. Sasuke's only burden was to kill Itachi and once he had done it he attempted to go and attack Konoha which says that he is running away from his problems. Naruto wanted to make everyone acknowledge him so I say Naruto for sure.

Yeah naruto didn't have no parents and shit. That's sad. But all these recently flashback of Naruto in part2/movies/fillers be showing that Naruto didn't had it that bad.

This is where Kishi F-ed up again. Part 1, he made it seem like Naruto had it bad, but all that really ended once he become part of team 7 at the age of 12 right? Then in part 2, in nearly all of Naruto's flashback, it doesn't seem like he had it bad. He was just neglected from other adults.

Now if you're asking who shouldered the most responsibility, then Naruto.

I'm not in total disagreement but I feel like your down playing Sasukes hardships. Sasuke lost his entire family and clan in one night to his Itachi (his beloved brother) and he was so determined to avenge that lost that he walked down a dark path just to grasp the power needed.

Sasuke didn't leave the village becuase he was scared of being there or becuase it was or easy way out. He left becuase Orochimaru offered him power..

Somebody need to read part 2 again. Naruto stated himself he been running away from Kurama. Then decided to face it in order to become strong enough to bring Sasuke home.

You been Mind raped from tsukuyomi. Then you join team 7, FINALLY MOVED ON with your life! Then itachi appear out of no where and raped your mind again with the tsukuyomi! Sasuke had to leave the village. He was in a fantasy world while in that village in that team 7. He left the village to face his demon(Itachi)! Because, we all know that Sasuke wasn't gonna get stronger in that village if he had stay.

You can pick Naruto, but don't pick him for those reasons at all!

Here is how I look at it.

Sasuke had terrible trauma, but he was an overall victim and not offender, hypothetically he wasn't the "gun", the villagers throughout Naruto's entire life treated him as if he were the "gun", Naruto not only harbored the feelings of being lonely and rejection, but harbored the cause of something he had nothing to do with. Sasuke was openly accepted and always had atleast Ino, Sakura and the countless girls that drooled over him to confide in and talk too. Naruto had zip until Iruka.

Though both different tragedies that almost weigh the same.

But I feel like Naruto could've easily gotten attention from any of the other adults like mighty guy, Kakashi, asuma, even the 3rd hokage. He could've easily become 3rd hokage's special student since he is a jin.

Again, this is where Kishi F-ed up. He could've made the story a lot better by making Naruto being a shinobi that was force to learn all ninjutsu and shit at a young age and never hangout with other kids. This way, I could understand Naruto a lot better.

Sasuke loved ones were killed by the one that he loved the most right in front of him only to find out that he did it to protect a village that hated their whole clan.
