Not for gaining Ms or anything but for a greater purpose which I explain below:

What do you say about them running away from the mist ninja and Rin not being able to keep up with Kakashi so
he has to kill her so she don't leak info and get tortured, then executed by the enemy?
What are the explosions? Maybe Kakashi and Rin activated mines, realized and got out just in time, giving away their position?

My opinion, she knows something others don't, and this something is so important, it could perhaps end or start another war.

I don't know if Kakashi or Minato was aware of this but it seems Kakashi was.

She was captured by Iwa Shinobi and they tried to extract information out of her with Genjutsu.

Now Hidden Mist Shinobi? Something is definitely up with her, she knows certain information that could grant power to a nation.

Could be intel on something really important...

Kakashi probably was aware of this and killed her for good, he ended her life to save others. And its a bet she asked to do so too.

There are so many logical guesses as to how Rin died based on what we've seen that it's not that fun to "guess".

I've read this guess here as well as other Naruto forums.

kakashi was under a genjutsu by madara .... you cant trust any uchihas to be honest he wanted tobi as a pet and he used tobi good in him to turn him to a emo hating uchiha wanting to destroy the world ..... naruto is going change tobi just like he did to pain ..... to me tobi was more good than evil at one point or they wouldnt show flash backs ..... tobi was like naruto at one point

i think kakashi killed her accidently because obito told kakashi to protect her no matter what. and kakashi woundnt have the guts to kill rin just like what happened between nagato and yahiko

Rin's death, much like the deaths of every person dear to him, affected Kakashi but more so as she both loved him and he could not save her. Even on the verge of death himself during Pain's invasion, Kakashi lamented on how he failed to protect her and said he was going to see her alongside Minato and Obito.

I had posted something similar this morning in the chap. discussion thread, so I agree. Except it doesn't really explain why Kakashi appeared to be crying. I guess we'll ahve to wait and see.



Well, here's a possible explanation (though I really doubt Kishi thought of this): visual information coming from your left eye is processed by the right side of your brain, and vice versa (neural cross-lateralization). Obito's right side is composed of Zetsu. So, if Zetsu were somehow feeding visual stimuli directly into the right side of Obito's brain, Obito would perceive those visions as originating from his left eye.

You are thinking way to deep Dr. Poster MD.

Just accept it, people, that Obito can see through his sharingan which is implanted on Kakashi.

Hey good point! But let me counter by saying.....Madara said Obito would thank him sincerely, not just come back and say thank you!

Madara means Obito will come back and become part of his plan and carry on his will for Tsuki no Me, that is how Obito will thank him!
