its either a madara genjutsu when they locked eyes,

or its a setup cause of the "experimental bodies" that zetsu talked about.

obviously kakashi wasnt thinking clearly, or its straight up not kakashi and an imposter

One thing, that's the real Kakashi. Obito saw Rin getting stabbed through the chest with Chidori through his sharingan.

Lot's of threads on this already but Kakashi probably realized that Rin was not really Rin. Most likely a Zetsu clone. Check Kakashi out in the final panel. Kakashi is crying the lower lid is full of tears so it isn't the rain.

Probably something happened and he had no other choice... Like, Rin ending up betraying the village (I don't think so, just an example), or him being under some body control jutsu... Either way, I doupt Kakashi would kill Rin if he ever had the choice...

i dont think kakshi killed rin, Here are my reasons to believe that.

First of all, there's no way that Kakashi would've broke his promise to Obito, and kill Rin just to obtain MS. I think that Kakashi has been gone through a lot, and suffered greatly after Obito's death, for which he blamed himself.

Second, when Kakashi died during Pain invasion arc, he said 'I couldn't protect Rin' He didn't say 'I killed Rin' (But you cannot relay on that info though)

Third, I don't believe that Zetsu was so concerned about Kakashi and Rin being attacked. Why such an interest suddenly? Something fishy going on here. To make Obito joining Madara for good, they have to make him believe that he was betrayed by his best friend, and killed the girl he promised to protect.

That's just my thought guys, maybe it's just me because I kind of don't want to believe that Kakashi did kill Rin. What I think, it was all Madara's plan to bring Obito to his side. The mist ninja's are probably Zetsu's clones, and the one who killed Rin is also Zetu's clone.

Kakashi killed Rin for MS?

I know we've all thought about and seen theories about Zetsu transforming into Kakashi and having killed Rin. But what if Kakashi had actually killed Rin for the Mangekyou Sharingan, since he thought Obito was gone, Rin would be the closest to him so she'd be the key to awakaen the MS. Now I know the Zetsu theory sounds more like it because we all like Kakashi, but if he really killed Rin it would add some twist in the manga for sure don't you think?

Please read this b4 flaming that it wasn't kakashi who killed rin

1.) We all saw there was blood coming from rin's mouth so we can eliminate the posibility that rin is a zetsu clone(bcos zetsu gives of white gooey stuff)

2.) I also think that Obito saw rin's death through kakashi's eyes (like shared vision of rinnegan) so it also eliminates the posibility that kakashi was a clone

3.) Kakashi has sharingan so its highly impossible he was under genjutsu unless its someone as powerful as Madara himself and its impossible that madara came out of that cave and cast a genjutsu on Kakashi bcos madara is connected to the hashi's tree of life (pun intended)

so this leaves only two possibilities i.e he killed her by mistake bcos of the hidden mist jutsu
or
rin was manipulated by the enemy and killing her was essential to the success of the mission
with kakashi mind set like success of mission is more important than rin's life

either way Kakashi is one of my favorite characters in naruto .... so i cannot hate his character whatever he does ...
but wat abt you ??
