I liked him the most at the kage summit so villian for me.

Yeah, around this time he became my favorite character, then he lost it when Obito was unmasked, then it went even lower when he turned out to be a jerk even after his Heel Face Turn.

Naruto spent years tyring to convince him and hashirama tnj him in small chat. poor poor nardo

The whole purpose of the show was about redeeming Sauske, when you give that to a minor character it takes away from it.

He had so much potential to be final villain especially if he was synced with gedo mazo like Obito wanted him to(what ever that meant) but Sasuke is still a great character regardless.

I think he's the most interesting right now. I hated him in his MS phase.

I think that MS phase was Indra's chakra finally awakening in Sasuke.

What makes you think there still is not a possibility for him to be a final villain? I mean the manga has not ended yet has it? Or am I mistaken?

He's still pretty much an anti-villain until he reveals how he plans on changing the shinobi world, so...

Honestly, when he mentions that he wants to change it through force, that seems more realistic than Naruto using the magical ability of tnj that only he has.

But, since this is a shounen, I'm pretty sure the majority of the audience knows who's going to be the "hero" in the end and which method is going to come out supreme. :p

No but what would be the point of making him evil again after all this and him getting acknowledged again?

We don't know that yet, he never declared to be a good guy. He just did what he could to save the world. It just seems too fishy to me how Sasuke changed so quickly in matter of minutes. When he was originally plotting to destroy the leaf. Don't you feel that his change seemed a bit too quick? Or fishy?

Violence only gets you so far, words change people, that's the difference.

Yea it was quick but hes following Itachi's wishes after all going back on his word to follow it and turn evil again would be bad writing.

I don't know, he didn't change his mind in an instant, he was clearly second-guessing himself the moment Itachi appeared. I think of him as being like Zuko, except he didn't start out evil, didn't go on a long journey of redemption (seemingly immediate forgiveness) and was way more of a jerk than Zuko ever was.

That's true. It does teach people watching the show a better lesson.

To be fair here, every one of Sasuke's changes is done within a chapter or so.

-Decides to go for revenge after his brother after one night
-Decides to crush Konoha after hearing the truth
-Decides to help Konoha and protect the shinobi world after over 20 chapters.

His turn away from evil took longer than anything else. Itachi's talk factored in, as well as Hashirama's. It wasn't rushed. Most of the fandom wanted him to do this sooner and didn't understand him throwing away the deaths of his clan, the wishes of his brother, the wishes of his friends, etc years ago over his anger problems. The only problem people had is that he didn't change his mind after Itachi showed him the truth...he changed it when a random Hokage told him a story. Most people complain that it took too long. lol

Also, even more complain that he should have gone back to Konoha when Tobi told him the truth. He basically stuck around with a shady figure for a year or so and wanted to kill people randomly, just to have a talk with his dead brother/random Hokages to decide he should take the path his brother had originally wished for him. Most of Shippuden was pointless, Sasuke didn't get any real goals done other than killing Danzo. It looked like Kishimoto just wanted to entertain the fandom with Sasuke's cool, unpredicatable actions.

If he's a bad guy now, he doesn't care about anyone other than himself. I don't think Kishimoto wants to once again make Sasuke the most hated character in Naruto history, especially considering that's one of his favourites.

Naw, I don't think it would be bad writing. When we clearly did not know his true intentions to begin with. Like has Kishi really revealed all of Sasuke's true feelings through out this war arc? Also you notice how Naruto got more spot light than Sasuke? It all just doesn't seem a coincidence to me. I feel Kishi is for shadowing something here. Something big is about to come for Sasuke.

I don't know who this Zuko is so I can't comment on that. I still stick by my assumptions over this whole Sasuke thing.
