If Tsunade dies now, Kakashi will be the most fitting. If anyone else, Shikamaru. Because Naruto won't even have the time, much less interest in becoming the Hokage -- saving the other beasts & defeating Tobi is more important right now.


After the war & Tsunade is still alive, I think she will step down & offer the position to Naruto. Because she doesn't have to die for another to take over.

there is no chance of tsunade being killed as A , oonki , gaara will save the 106 () slug princess....

and i believe for a plot twist maybe shikaku or shikamaru will be the kage... naruto is too gross to understand country politics he's for battlefields only... not the kind to sit in rooms and discuss .....

REALLY? He doesn't have the interest of becoming Hokage? Do you even READ the manga? The whole damn story has been about him WANTING TO BECOME HOKAGE!!!

And whoever says Konohamaru is a god damned IDIOT. Why in god's name would Konohamaru become Hokage? Are you kidding me? I'm not even going to state WHY he wouldn't become Hokage, it should be painfully obvious.

Kakashi would be a good fit obviously, he WAS one second away from becoming Rokudaime anyway. It all depends though if the people think Naruto is ready, and if Tsunade dies or not, and if he still wants to, which I doubt.

Itachi 100% obviously cannot become Hokage, I don't even know why anyone would even think that. He is dead. On top of that, the entire village still doesn't know he really isn't a criminal. Everyone seems to be forgetting that the only people who know he was forced to murder his clan is Kakashi, Naruto, and Yamato. He is still a criminal in everyone else's mind.

Shikamaru is to weak. Yes he is smart, but he is far from the strongest shinobi in Konoha, which you know, is also a requirement to become Hokage. You need to be able to protect the village. This he cannot do alone.

Anyway, Naruto will be the Rokudaime. Yes he will be the 6th Hokage, not the 7th. Danzo was never officially the 6th Hokage, he was never voted in by the jounins, and neither was Kakashi. So the next Hokage, whoever it may be, will be officially the sixth, not seventh.

I'd love it if Kishi pulls a major swerve and doesn't make Naruto Kage but gives it Hinata or Sai, ends the story and peaces out- never giving an explanation!!! lol!!!

I don't think that is a bad idea. I don't see it happening though, Neji hasn't got the respect of the village and the other villages in the same way that Kakashi and Naruto have. I think Neji is more interested in his own clan too

Nope, Neji has never shown the slightest interest in the Hokage job. Instead, it would be really cool if he were to become the next head of the Hyuga clan, despite his mark. We have not seen Hinata's dad since he battled his brother, and he was not the one who sealed Hizashi, so he may have been killed.

Sorry Hinata's fans, but she is not a leader type and was not trained for the role; and her sister, at 11, is just too young. Neji is the natural candidate here, and it's clear that's what he (and his dad) dreamed of.

Besides, why is everyone assuming it will be someone from Naruto's generation? They are all of them too young! Would you choose a 16 year old to be the president???

Kakashi is clearly the leading candidate. Naruto will get his chance, but needs to save Sasuke first - will be awhile...

I really don't know much about anything, but don't you guys think you'd at least have to be an entry level Jonnin to be Hokage? If my hypothesis is correct then that would leave everyone except Kakashi, and Itachi out of the picture;however, for Itachi to even be considered he'd have to be alive. That leaves only Kakashi.

Itachi - Just no, you can't have a edo as hokage. Kakashi - I think it'll probally be him because he was already almost chosen once. Naruto - He's defineatlly gotten a lot more mature now, and after this war I think he'd be even more mature, meaning that it'll higher his chances of being hokage. But I'm gonna wait until this war unfolds more before I decide. ( Damn, can't skip lines on my IPod. )

Shikamaru or his dad. Naruto lacks maturity and decisiveness. He'll be hokage when his older and the best one of that. Gaara is natural for his role unlike naruto.

Shikaku already turned it down, Shikamaru said no too. No one said anything about Gaara....

Uhhhh No...the only thing Sakura has good going on for her is her medical nin, and she's only mediocre at that...

The 6th Hokage slot is Kakashi's since it was already nearly assigned to it. and I can't see Naruto getting the 6th title when it was already held by two people temporarily. Moreover, if Tsunade dies in battle (as unfortunately seems likely), Naruto will refuse the title, because he hasn't saved his friend as yet.

So I expect Kakashi to hold it for a short while, then after the Sasuke/Naruto conflict has been resolved, Naruto becomes the 7th Hokage. He'll be mature enough by then.

As for the other candidates that were proposed:
-Itachi - is going to disappear when the ET is dissolved. He would not be the right person anyway, having killed his clan and set his brother on a destructive path.
- Konohamaru - too young.
- Shikamaru - He is a good fit for an advisor role, like his dad, but lacks the power and charisma (or motivation ) for the Hokage role.
- Shikaku - not strong or motivated enough. Should have advisor role.

Being nearly assigned to it isn't the same as being assigned to it....hell Danzo was also assigned the 6th position...but since he (just like Kakashi) never actually gotten in the position....their position is null and void...Konohamaru isn't too young....the 3 tailed was a child too, and he was a Kage....

Shikaku had already said that he's about to retire and let his son take his place as an advisor..
