Even more proof of his greatness... Itachi prepared shi sui's eyes to counter his... So itachi had a friend and used his friends abilities... Minato had a wife that whole clan new sealing jutsu and all you minato fans claim she taught him other sealing jutsu besides RDS so where they at tho clearly she taught him some soul controlling jutsu or the fact that he copied tobirama's famed ftg jutsu but didn't know shit else about his other jutsu edo tensei... You use what you got and itachi used what he got and minato couldn't use what he had

I don't know what manga you are reading, the whole sealing of the kyuubi in naruto, the sealing of his and kushina's chakra were instances of critical thinking. Analyzing and coming up with a plan for gai to land a hit on JJ madara is another instance.

You still miss the point i specifically said if he had lived a while longer we would have seen his battle intellect he was already famous during the war figuring out how many of enemies are there and distinguishing how many were clones by just touching the ground.
He already showed the intellect while rescuing kushina from a group of jonins as a kid.
Had better grades than other prodigies.
He would have showed his intellect if he had more screen time. But what ever screen time he got showed he had one of the best intellect there is.
Quality over quantity.

Lol gai used sekizo on Godara before minato came up with a plan to help gai that lol he wasn't able to even participate in... So thats not that great because we know gai can hit and did hit Godara without any aid...

If minato got the same screen time as itachi he would be on the same level.
The small show development by minato in that small amount of screen time shows he had the battle intellect to rival itachi.

Minato 1 feat was when he was a grown as man fighting a 13 year old... Again grown as man he wasn't going to developed any more, itachi feats started when he was 6...
Fail again Obito lost the battle but won the war because at that time minato was the most powerful and Obito created the situation for minato's death and what happened he died...

And the planted eye who was it meant for?
It was plot that naruto meet itachi during that fight and itachi freed himself from edo.
Had naruto not stumbled with itacho he would have remained the slave he was meant to be.
