Itachi...imo he was the best candidate. He was already thinking at Hokage level at the age of seven. I believe he should have been chosen even over Minato, and Oro. Just my opinion no more, no less. I just feel he'd have made an uncannily exceptional Hokage.

Minato, Itachi, and Sasuke. Those seem to be the only good Hokages I see, and I see a post that says Naruto, well think about it...how many times have Naruto was about to be taken over by evil? He would be killing the shinobi alliance if Hinata hadn't slapped him, and Shikamaru cries too much.

I'm not even an Itachi fanboy, but I would vote for him. He seemed way to wise, he showed he was more than willing to make extremely difficult decisions for the sake of the village, he sacrificed himself for the sake of the village, and that was all when he was barely a pre-teen. And, he was powerful and respected enough to keep the village relatively safe. Plus intelligence that was supposed to be near Shikamarus..I don't think there is anyone else who is all around as great a fit as him. He seemed to be tailor made for Hokage, if it wasn't for stupid Danzo.
