Which was the chapter after which you decided you are going to follow the series?

Just curious. For me it was the one they take the Chuunin exam (the one with the quiz). Actually I watched this first (by chance).

If it wasn't a chapter but a character, then name him/her.

It was an old friend that got me into Naruto, started on the original Naruto series 1, moved to Shippuden, then to the manga.

I liked all the characters in part one, so i cant really say what character got me mostly involved.
Near the end of part 1, Sasuke was my favorite from then to now, present.

i was already following the anime from day one , i only started reading the manga on the same day that the chapter when madara got resurrected came out

I went out and bought volume 10 just because i loved that fight so much. then I worked my way backward to the beginning, then followed the series as it aired on toonami back in the day!!! got my friend hooked when kisame vs Gai was in the manga. he thought their techs were sick and I got him reading it
